    I believe that the Exodus occurred in about 1600 BC and was the expulsion of the Hyksos from lower Egypt. The plagues and the change in water level of the Sea of Reed could have been caused by the eruption of the volcano on Thera (Santorini). The pillar of smoke by day and the pillar of fire by night sounds like the eruption of a volcano. The final explosive eruption of the volcano wiped out Minoan civilization on Crete and effected the entire eastern Mediterranean area including the Nile delta of Egypt. A tsunami created by the eruption could have changed the water levels in the delta as well.
    The Hyksos were a Semitic people that ruled lower Egypt for about 200 years. The book of Exodus starts with "There arose a Pharaoh that did not know Joseph". Joseph was a Semite and it would make sense that the Hyksos might make him an overseer. When the Egyptians in Upper Egypt reconquered lower Egypt and restored united rule, the new Pharaoh would have no interest in anything that the Hyksos had done. The agricultural decline in the delta due to the eruption may have weakened the Hyksos and lead to their defeat and expulsion.

      So do you think the Hebrews are the Hyksos?

    Hello. Can anyone let me know about "Hebrew" name " is name people or relegation or what more,... Thanks 🙏

    • @Theolife
      @Theolife  Год назад +1

      I will address that in my next video. But the quick overview is the name Hebrew, likely comes from Habiru. This is an ancient term used as a pejorative for vagabonds, refugees, and homeless people. It possibly was used to describe the Hebrews in the wilderness and they used the insult as a badge of honor.

    I think Genius and Exodus are mostly metaphor.

      @Theolife I would say Job is but that's all I can think of. Books like Kings is history, Psalms is poetry, and the profits, all though quite metaphorical, are clear.

    Egypt was known to have falsified dated because of the kings (Pharoah dating was embellished) The dates of the Bible are correct. THE EXODUS was 1446 BC The 13th Dynasty and not the 18th Dynasty. I The archeology is sound that Joseph is mentioned in Egyptian writings.

      @Theolife GENESIS Chapters 40 thru 48 The inscriptions found on excavated tablets.. There were many... Hence, his name being changed by Pharaoh - Joseph is even taken before Pharoah in chapter 41 after Pharaoh dreams and Joseph decifers the dream as the Famine..

      @@Theolife I guess that I can't post the link.. But, “Joseph’s name appears twice on this coin, written in hieroglyphs: once the original name, Joseph, and once his Egyptian name, Saba Sabani, which was given to him by Pharaoh when he became treasurer. There is also an image of Joseph, who was part of the Egyptian administration at the time.

    If someone is a real archeologist or anthropologist never gonna give a shitt importance to a religious blunder.

    • @Theolife
      @Theolife  Год назад

      I'm not sure that is correct. Archeologists are frequently studying religious material to understand the world better.
