Currently wearing the TF7s upgraded from ribcore 77ks that I’ve had for years and they are fantastic can’t say anything bad about them. And as for the tongue, with most of not all of the True skates the height of the tongue can be adjusted as it’s just held to the toebox with Velcro!!

These are actually great for wide feet, I'm an EEE+, was wearing nexus EE which was wide enough in the forefoot but too loose around the ankle. tried all 3 brands few months ago, tacks EE have gotten better, supreme fit 3 are not even close to the nexus ee. I purchased my CAT9's a few months ago. They came with bent steel, which was immediately replace at no cost of course. I guess there was a run where a bunch left the factory where in which the steel was crooked. So keep an eye out for that if you get them. Besides that these have been awesome. They do sit a bit higher than the usual CCM or Bauer, and takes a little bit to get the feel for. But like he said here, once you use them, it's no problem getting a good feel for them. These things are amazing.

Ive had my TF9s for a few years. Comfort I will agree True skates are the most comfortable skates I have ever skated in. However as a few have said, I'm not impressed by the quality. I don't play anywhere near high level and am switching out to a different skate because the tongue is breaking apart, which is actually not the out of box but their memory foam one,, the clear coat is coming off, I've broken 2 blades ((both Step Blacksteel and in the exact same place, right where the LONG hook connector is by the vertical bar) and I can shift both runners back and forth in the holder about 2 mms. I have never broken a piece of steel in Bauer nor CCM skates. I feel there is some sort of design flaw in their holder and runner.

The steel/holder issue was addressed by True and is why they now have the Shift Max holder. Have you contacted True about any of your issues to see if they’d cover anything under warranty?

Super stiff skates: they’re not as stiff as TF9. Stiff tendon guard: they’re quite flexible especially compared to the TF line. Tongue too low: the tongue can be moved up or down easily by the Velcro tab. DID NOT BAKE THE SKATES BEFORE USE?!?! That’s the number one thing you need to do with True skates prior to use. It’s how they’re designed to be used and it says so right in the box when you buy them. If they fit well pre-bake, they’re going to be a minimum half size too big once they’re baked.

I only wore CCM, my last pair was full custom FT2’s then I tried the True custom after that and my last pair was the True SVH full custom. Don’t think I’ll ever go back to another boot tbh, True full customs are the absolute only way to go

@@dkoz1 they feel too big, I can lift my heal off of the sole. Feels like everywhere I want my foot/ankle to move it can't and everywhere I don't want them to move, they do

Interesting. I’m a new skater, and I am thinking about some Catalyst 7’s. The boot itself just looks like it’s my foot lol.
I have Supreme M4s right now, obviously a quality skate, but the ankle/vertical part of the boot is very wide. I have a medium width forefoot (not wide, not narrow), and skinny heel & ankle. No matter how tight I get the Supremes my ankle just feels too loose
