Need a arrow saw and a squaring tool as well. The Xspot mini and Carbon Express saws are both good options. If you need to square up the nock end on fletched arrows, the G5 ASD works better than the original.

I also use those field tips...they stay in...and fly true.

Just put in a field tip , heat it with torch , carefully , heat will transfer up the tip , loosens the bonding and insert will pull right out !!!

If the glue gets old the vanes wont stick like new glue. One way i know to make your glue last is to store it in your refrigerator. I got tired of buying max bond every time I built arrows, and haven't needed to since storing in the fridge. Wraps are also practical for vane removal to refletch, visibility in flight, surface for blood to show, easier to find after pass through and consistent vane adhesion.

I've found that for me, and where I live (Hot and humid coast) my vanes will fall off if the glue is not new.
I can't really explain it, but if I fletch a batch with new glue, and another with used or old glue, those will fall off.
I mean, might be a different thing, but that's my thought process so far haha. Great content.

Couple things wraps are really nice for fletching because instead of trying to pull every vane off and then reclean the shaft a good wrap lets you take it off as one piece. Also you should never be using sandpaper to rough up your arrows. Even that little bit of sanding damages the carbon in your arrows.

Easier way to remove inserts is to heat up a field tip and screwed it into the insert wait a couple of seconds until it gets hot and the glue starts to melt and then just pull out the insert with ease.

I love the content man keep up the good work, I build a lot of my own arrows as-well and used to hate arrow wraps but I use a white wrap when hunting just incase I don’t get a full pass through when the deer runs it’s a more likely chance I find my arrow

    Dawson,
Good to meet you. I saw your video explaining why your bow exploded.
Like you, I've got a new channel. I've been putting content out the last week regarding bow tuning and arrow building. I've been doing my own bow work for a quote a few years. If you want some help learning, I am happy to help.
My belief is that you can't be truly efficient with your equipment, unless you can work on your equipment.
Reach out of I can be of assistance to you.
    Good luck, and happy hunting

      Another thought...
You still need an arrow spinner if you're going to build arrows. Making sure your inserts are true to the carbon can be verified by spinning.
Also, if you get an 8-32 thread pitch bolt, and a stack of heavy washers, you can install the bolt into the insert with the washers on it, and sling the insert end around, using the washers like a slide hammer to get inserts out of carbon. Doing this instead of a drill bit in the carbon saves your carbon, and the insert.
Just a couple tricks I picked up over the years.

@@ElevateHNT I'll have my wife reach out to you. I'm assuming that is your Instagram handle??? I'll have her send you my email. Once you reach out via email, I'm happy to give you my phone number. Just don't write it on any bathroom walls. Haha. I obviously don't want to write it here.
