I have an 08' - 1. The interior of the ML63 is much nicer than the ML500 of the same year (The leather will hold up very well). 2. Air ride (Smooth and adjustable modes). 3. Down side - The price has gone down on the ML, but the price of the new parts have not. 4. It can have engine problems of the 6.3 [m156 engine] (Head bolts, camshafts), but by this time there is a good chance the old owner may have had updated/ repaired some of the issues, check the repair history. Always get an inspection if you are thinking of getting one.
Just going to add: The M156 head bolt issue only affects pre-2009 cars. From 2010 onwards a new bolt design was used. Or you can buy the ARP head stud kit (from Weistec) for peace of mind on older cars.

Have had a 08 ML63 for 5 years now. Got it at 80 thousand Kay’s for $43k. Now at 160 thousand and probably worth $25 at best based on market - but it’s still a beast! Mine has been bulletproof. Changed an aircon compressor a year ago, but that’s it! Tip for buyers / owners - import parts like brake discs (big 390mm buggers on the front!) from the USA. Save yourself thousands.
I swapped the crap stock stezza out for the Alpine X800D-ML. A thousand times better!

I love these ml's so much but that 6.3 motor scares the hell out of me..... broken head bolts, camshafts ,lifters sticking injectors just to name some of the biggest issues with that motor...... oh don't get me wrong it's a beast Until It Breaks....
No BMW's were stolen in the making of this video..

Broh I whish you had more footage than just a minute or so from this gorgeous car. Now I had to play it at the slowest speed... I have the ML500 and trying to find out if I like these wheels for it. On some vids I didnt, but with your vid (although just seconds) they look stunning...
I've had my 2010 for a year and a half. I love it. I think the year after mine switched to the bi-turbo. Purchased for $25k at 57k miles. I've driven it all over - over 80k miles on it now. Looks like every other soccer Mom's suv, until I accelerate past them lol

After knowing people like you two can afford such a car makes me not want one.
You have to get a version over 2016 for those that are watching this. Otherwise expect many $ down the drain.
