The Man comes full circle and finally delivers what we all were screaming at him to do ... finally get some YPTP on his bad-boy VC95 :)) PS. If you want to crisp the bed up if full bed YPTP becomes a bit too trampoliney as well as control the tension drop, try using YPTSpinG in the crosses ... My favourite setup for years.
I would totally buy a reel of your string. I know you wouldn't put your name on a product without fully backing it. I think you should name it MTHQ Poly-K for Karue. And then make a smooth and a shaped/edged version with slightly different characteristics
Congrats on the 100k!! If you like softer polys, I would recommend Tourna Black Zone, Gosen Polylon Comfort, Toroline Caviar and Wasabi, Genesis Black Magic, Kirschbaum Pro Line Evolution, Signum Pro Firestorm ( all of which I have personally tried and genuinely like) and reviewers also seems to really hype up Grapplesnake strings. Reviewing those strings could make for some great content IMHO
I am doing VS Gut Mains 52lbs and ALU Rough 54 lbs (16G mains, 17G crosses), last anywhere from 10-40 hours depending on when I break the string (usually middle gut string snaps but a few times its further from the sweet spot). What do you suggest for me? I do not have any issues with this setup except the obvious, would love a longer lasting hybrid without comprising on feel and touch.
I forgot to add, @Karue, checkout something called Sergetti string method (different tensions for depending on string closest and furthest from center to increase sweet spot), it's what I've been using for a year, I can email you my sheet if you want, they charge 15CAD for each setup so if you change tension or strings you will need to buy another sheet.
I've been trying razor soft 17ga and it's been great for spin, pocketing/feel, and durability. It has a slower decay than Yonex PTP which seems to die suddenly when they're gone. It's like using alkaline batteries vs lithium batteries in a flashlight.
Congrats!! I used to play with poly tour pro 1.25, but I moved to poly tour spin 1.25, still confortable but it grabs the ball way more than PTP, and it doesn't lose tension as fast. I use a far lower tension tho, 22kg.
Hey Karue, i am more of an amateur player here in germany. I like to string my raquets by my own and to test a bit. This and last year i am testing soft (round) polys. The Yonex Poly Tour Pro (blue) is one of my fav. aswell. havent tried the yellow one. which i like aswell is the WeissCannon Scorpion. If you are looking for another soft poly, try this out. I tried a lot (from MSV Swift, Head Lynx, Luxilon Adrenalin, Super Smash Orange,... cant remember every String) and the Yonex and the WeissCannon are my fav. I played every String more than just "one set" and compared everyone at the same time to another. i am using the yonex ezone 100.
Congratulations and thanks for the awesome videos all this time! Edit: Would definitely try a string if you made one lol. I am using PTP right now and I feel like we have similar wants from our string bed :)
Think long term Karue, and give it a brand name as well as a string/model name. A whole lineup of gear customized to you for touring? I like “Kru Pro” - catchy and evocative. A control oriented poly that fits your style? Just put “control” right in the name… like “Control Deck 9010”. Or weave in your roots with “Controlar Poly K” or “Preciso 1.25” for exotic flavor. Or unabashed cheese is always fun: “Special K Tour” 😄 (Especifico K? haha) Have fun with it, and satirizing (the somewhat ridiculous) other string/brand names out there is good for fans!
When it comes to naming, always keep it simple..... how about Poly-K1, Poly-K2, Poly-K3, Poly-K4 each for different feels... then you can add a name after each one just to give it some pizzaz, like Poly-K1 Karue Super Spin, Poly-K2 Karue Massive Power Poly-K3 Karue Control Freak, Poly-K4 Karue Personal Touch! Go for it! I would definitely buy your strings!!!!
I've played with gut main and alu rough crosses for maybe 15 years. I still prefer the VS gut over Wilson but many times I will still go with the Wilson prepackaged hybrid setup in my Wilson gen one RF 97 autograph frames. I've experimented with many strings and racquets over the years and my favorite polly set up has been Tecnifibre red code. I checked it out when I heard Isner was using it. As far as a poly I really liked it.I hadn't experimented with any Polly's recently as age and injury have kept me off the court for a few years but it sounds like you've made a solid choice. If you haven't tried red code you might try it. ☮️
I string a hybrid of Weiss Cannon Blue Rock'n Power in the mains at 62 and Tecnifibre 4S in the crosses at 58. Both strings are above 9 spin potential, both are mid-stiff and both have good tension loss percentage. They go on the Blade 98 V8 which has a buttery 61 flex rating. The racket has lead at 9 and 3 and just above the grip for a total weight of 338g all in. Good luck in finding your perfect setup Karue. So great when you finally get there, as I have with the above.
“Super Sell HQ / MTHQ Super Sell” - when it gets popular the ppl who don’t know where it comes from will think the hq stands for high quality - which is great - but the real ones will know 😉 Have you tried the Solinco Confidential or the Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 before?
I would try Mayami Hit Pro if you have never hit with it before. 1.25, round, feels amazing and creates a great response off the stringbed. If you make your own I would definitely try it!
Heres a couple of ideas: "Karue Brew Strings" "The Backhanded Compliment" (I know you love that Backhand!) Yeah...id buy those! I play with full polys (Solinco Hyper G 17g) as well and find a good amount of depth control and comfort. I keep thinking about messing with my setup, but i don't really have a reason to, so i just keep sticking with it!
Congratulations on 100k! We all been waiting for this 🎉 String brand is MTHQ. K-Rush for a round softer poly and K-Spirt for a firmer edged string. Or just MT-Rush and HQ-Spirit (or MT again). Would be interesting to design it working in hybrid!)
Congrats on 100k subscribers! How long it takes to broke strings or restring with PTP? I recommend to try some MSV strings! And a name for your string - Karue HQ Poly!
I used full PTP for years, it’s awesome. I have been lately hybrid-ing Confidential with Ghost Wire and that has worked well for me. But the rest of my reel of PTP calls out to me, no doubt
I was surprised at how much I like the tourna big hitter rough. Great sound and good feeling on the bed. I’ve hit with hyper g, big banger, hawk, lynx, lynx tour and rpm blast. My go to set up has always been gut in main and Alu power rough in crosses but recently switched to the tourna and actually like it more. I was shocked. The only negative I’ve found is it does reach a dead point a bit faster than other polys, but hitting fresh overcomes the negative.
I use the tourna big hitter black. Great spin, especially when brand new. Nobody ever mentions this string. Glad to see someone else using it as well. Half the price of rpm blast and better in my opinion
I would definitely try the Soft Karue Strings - power and comfort. I'll definitely going to try the yonex soft ones. I am using a VCore 2023 98 16x19, great racquet... I have the hypothesis that yonex strings are a good match for yonex racquets... but I'm still testing... I'm really enjoying the adrenaline luxilon, it's not that high on comfort, but it feels great and soft.
Wow 100k! lets go so hyped up! Btw someone said the new razor code soft is somehow a combination of confidential and polytour pro hopefully you could get to review the string.
Mayami Tour Hex - it's like a cross between Razor Code and Lynx Tour. On a softer side but keeps tension really well, has nice pocketing and it's shaped like Lynx Tour (6-sided but gentle). From round and soft with great spin and comfort I would say Signum Pro Firestorm. 1.30 - its used by Berrettini. If you like Lynx Tour but wish it moved a bit towards Razor Code I would start from Mayami Tour Hex :) If you want something similar to Razor Code/PTP but save $$$$ Firestorm is probably the best pick.
Go with a spin monster in the mains like WC ultra cable or Volkl V square. Then since those two lose tension pretty drastically, pretty quickly, counter it with a poly in the crosses which holds tension exceptionally well. Tourna Big Hitter Silver Tour. If you make your own string, keep the name brand name simple: KSell
Yonex PolyTour Pro 17g is the best string I've tried. And I've tried many: Luxilon Alu Rough, Wilson's Champion's Choice, Babolat RPM Blast, Solinco Hyper-G, Solinco Confidential, Volkl Cyclone, etc. With the PolyTour Pro, my slice's are superb, dropshots are perfect, slice serves really die, topspins rise, and I have both control and power.
The color gave it way especially paired with a yonex racquet haha. I play with a ezone but didn't like polytour pro when I tried, thought it was too underpowered for me (though control was great) and it also lost tension fast. Switched to Solinco confidential. Name suggestion for the karue string: -> the Brazuka moustache pro. And hell yea I'd try it. Pick a bad as* color to go along with it. Lastly congrats on the 100k and the YT plaque!!
KRUSH would be a good name if you create your own string. I also use PolyTour Pro & just tried Razor Code on my Wilson Blade. Keep winning those tournaments. SWING2WIN!!!
Congratulations on the 100k, Karue and Gui! Vamos! Karue, if you are into soft polys now, I would suggest the regular, round and yellow Head Lynx. It's pretty comfortable for a polly, and very spin friendly. It does lose tension, though, so it would be better to pre-stretch it. I would guess that if you pre-stretch it, it you would probably break before it starts to spray in your racquet! About the Karue String, i'll leave it to those that are more creative than me 😅 Keep it up, guys!
Comgrats on the 100k! Regarding gut strings, i recently found a gem - Klip NG Armour Pro! It is gut with a poly shell - great snap back, more control and durability! The best part is that it is only 30 usd ea.!
Also mentioning the strings. Recently I tried Dunlop Explosive Bite in my vc95 and was surprised by its softness and spin potential. It was probably even softer then pt pro. Going to try it again and decide between buying a reel of it or lynx tour. Probably going to experiment with hybrids of them with my trusty pt rev😅
Since you have tried hybrid and soft poly, low tension (stiff) poly is a must try at this point 🙂 The tension needs to be 35lbs or less. Mannarino is the most notable player with this setup at the moment.
Congrats dog!! Off to a Milly now 😮💨 I second the dude saying HQ. It would be a dope string name. A company getting a lot of hype is restring with their model “zero”. I’d love to see you test it to see if it’s actually all that. They send it to a ton of 3.5 influencers who all say it’s the best ever
I play with VS mains, NXT crosses strung tight in weighted ProStaffs. Let me hit the ball hard and hit out under pressure. To each their own. It is what it is.
I also string at a high tension with poly because I prefer it and people are always telling me to lower my tension, very annoying! Glad to see I'm not alone haha
I knew it was polytour pro! I saw Marcos playing with it yesterday (btw, congrats beating Holger!) It is uncommon to see a pro changing string set up (not so long ago it was a natural gut hybrid) and now another string. Hopefully you guys start getting great tournament results. Best of luck!
I'd definitely be interested in trying a Karue string! 've found I like round copolys more than shaped ones now. I just switched to Polytour Fire and love it. It's soft but has a crisper feel than Polytour Pro and the snapback is insane. Very underrated imo, would be cool to see what your thoughts on it are.
Nice vid and congrats! I use the Yonex VCore Pro 97HD (2019) and usual set up is full bed Head Lynx Tour 1.25 @ 49/47. I tried a full bed of Polytour Pro 1.25 before too and liked it as well. Felt the polytour had more pop/power than the head lynx so recently tested a hybrid of both. Mains = Head Lynx Tour 1.25 @ 50lbs / Crosses = Polytour Pro 1.25 @ 47 .... Tried this to get the pop from the polytour while keeping the spin/bite of the lynx. And the polytour being round in the crosses => better snap back. Worked out really nice. I think its starting to go a bit because my balls are flying. Might increase the tension a few lbs next time. Definitely make your own!
I think you should also try the string Black Night from the brand Tru Pro (former known as Tier One). The majority of the pro's that I have recomanded it to them, have switched to it.
Hi, congratulations on 100K! Your channel is awesome and high credibility given your level of tennis ability! Are you using the old Vcore version or the 2023 when playing tournaments? And also I’ve noticed you’ve applied a lot of lead tape…how much and where in the racket and why? Thank you 🙏
Can you please talk about how you customized your vcore 95 and various ideas for customization you would recommend depending on the style of play / level.
Congratulations on 100k! Well deserved. Producing these videos is hard work. The comment on the equipment during matches is insightful. The minute your brain thinks racket or string might be off, all sorts of mistakes. Still, even the softest poly is pretty stiff at 60. Good that Krue had good results with the set up.
@@KaruesellHQ I am sure you can beat most people commenting here with a frying pan anyways. It is just good to hear your rationale for doing it. I like your insight: when playing matches, many things such as string tension can get in your head and cause all sort of mental problems. In high school years, I recall having problem switching to identical rackets/string during matches (I was a string breaker back then), and mishitting first few balls with the replacement racket. As I get older, I feel fine even if I switch to a totally different racket.
I made the switch to this string in 17 gauge last year and never looked back. It’s the most comfortable poly I’ve ever used and my wrist no longer hurts after 3 sets.
If you're into co poly's Luxilon smart was a great string, and I think they have stopped making it now but with your willingness to have your own string you should reinvent it with your own name.
Congratz on the 100k. Long overdue and well deserved. I think more people are playing full bed polys at tensions in the 40s. Not to be like everyone else, but hyperG and tourbite may be good try. I use poor mans gut tecnifibre on the mains.
Hey Karue, Suggestion for the string name? How about... THQ Carousel. I have a different question for you though. Your tension seems on the high side; How would PTP @ 60 compare with Lux Alu Power at 52? How do you feel about the Lux strings at any tension you play with? They've been prominent in the industry for a long time. I used PTP and then changed to Lux for the power, and am not willing to give it up just yet. Curious to hear your thoughts about Lux, because they are so big in the industry. Also, congrats on the 100K!
Congrats on the 100,000 subscribers, let's go to double of that!! Great to see you along with Giron at the Halle Open, I travelled all the way from Canada to watch the tournament, what a treat, tucked in a small town there!! Pl check the Grapplesnake M8, being talked about a lot by bloggers, Thanks.
Name it HQ or headquarters!
The Man comes full circle and finally delivers what we all were screaming at him to do ... finally get some YPTP on his bad-boy VC95 :)) PS. will check it out
Congrats on the 100k! I am currently using the solinco hyper G soft with the 2023 pure aero and its my favorite combo so far!
Big win tonight for your boy!! Congrats to you and Marcos ! Win over Rune !
I would totally buy a reel of your string. I know you wouldn't put your name on a product without fully backing it. I think you should name it MTHQ Poly-K for Karue. And then make a smooth and a shaped/edged version with slightly different characteristics
Since Karue hits flat, could just be the Flatliner
Congrats on the 100k!! If you like softer polys, I would recommend Tourna Black Zone, Gosen Polylon Comfort, Toroline Caviar and Wasabi, Genesis Black Magic, Kirschbaum Pro Line Evolution, Signum Pro Firestorm ( all of which I have personally tried and genuinely like) and reviewers also seems to really hype up Grapplesnake strings. Kirschbaum Pro Line Evolution is bae
Restring Zero at low tension (currently 40 lbs) feels nice to me
@@glademaster How long does the Restring last before you feel like its dead?
I've been trying razor soft 17ga and it's been great for spin, pocketing/feel, and durability. It has a slower decay than Yonex PTP which seems to die suddenly when they're gone. It's like using alkaline batteries vs lithium batteries in a flashlight.
Completely agree that is my string and it would make a perfect Karue string

Congrats on 100K! Love the content, your honesty, and your tennis! 🎾 😊
Tissot prx? You are a man of good watches, from the gshocks to tissot 😁
Yes sir! Bought it way before the hype too haha best watch on the market
Congratulations and thanks for the awesome videos all this time!

My favorite soft poly right now is Toroline Wasabi - I think you'd really like it! Soft and very spin friendly
Congrats on the 100 K subscribers. I find your posts to be so helpful and practical. All the best and I would try anything you endorse!
I've played with gut main and alu rough crosses for maybe 15 years. I string a hybrid of Weiss Cannon Blue Rock'n Power in the mains at 62 and Tecnifibre 4S in the crosses at 58. best tennis channel hands down. Love your content guys
Gui is THE MAN!
I would try Mayami Hit Pro if you have never hit with it before. 1.25, round, feels amazing and creates a great response off the stringbed. If you make your own I would definitely try it!
Heres a couple of ideas:
"Karue Brew Strings"
"The Backhanded Compliment" (I know you love that Backhand!)
Yeah...id buy those!
I play with full polys (Solinco Hyper G 17g) as well and find a good amount of depth control and comfort. I keep thinking about messing with my setup, but i don't really have a reason to, so i just keep sticking with it!
Congratulations on 100k! We all been waiting for this 🎉
String brand is MTHQ. K-Rush for a round softer poly and K-Spirt for a firmer edged string.

thank you very much! Appreciate the support

congrats on 100k! been a favourite channel of mine for a while!
Couldn't agree more about the depth control on gut. I recently set the RF97 to federer's setup, the depth control is quite unpredictable.
@My Tennis HQ -- big congratulations! You deserve every single subscription.
It would be good to see and hear from Gui sometimes too.
I would definitely try the Soft Karue Strings - power and comfort.
I'll definitely going to try the yonex soft ones. I am using a VCore 2023 98 16x19, great racquet... Congrats on 100k subs Karue! Amazing tennis content and info. I have been watching since you were at 20k. It’s really helped my game. Keep it up!

Karue Acsellerator is good for flat hitters who need access to control and pop on the groundies.

Karue - congratulations on 100k! What an accomplishment, kudos!
Edit: your string should be called 'Stache.
Head lynx tour is my personal fave 👌🏼using a Yonex ezone 100
I like the Poly Tour Pro, but I love Poly Tour Strike!
Parabéns pelos 100k!!!! É só o começo! (Belo PRX 😉)
Love my poly tour pro....razorcode soft is also excellent
Thanks Karue, and Congratulations on the 100k! 🎊🎉
Thank you so much!
I’m a poly tour pro user. Great string esp with Ezone 98
Congrats on 100k and good luck in your tournament!
Thanks a ton!
Thank you 🙏
Congrats on 100k subscribers! Karue string name suggestions: "MTHQ - Command & Control" or "MTHQ - Karue's Control"
try solinco hyper g!! its a little stiffer than yonex poly tour pro, more durable and slightly more control oriented
Can you please talk about how you customized your vcore 95 and various ideas for customization you would recommend depending on the style of play / level.
That is such a niche video. Customization is player preference. Try stuff, see what feels nice and roll with it. Don’t overcomplicate it
Congratulations on 100k! Well deserved. Producing these videos is hard work. The comment on the equipment during matches is insightful. The minute your brain thinks racket or string might be off, all sorts of mistakes. Still, even the softest poly is pretty stiff at 60. Good that Krue had good results with the set up.
I’ve always strung tight. It’s just the way I like my set up to feel. Since I was a junior. My results have always been with set ups that tight
@@KaruesellHQ New string name: KaruesKontrol
Soft POLY GANG represent. Pretty sure
i tried a synthetic gut hybrid cuz natural gut is obviously too expensive and i think its worth a try!
Solinco Tour Bite Soft.
Never disappoints.
If you're into co poly's Luxilon smart was a great string, and I think they have stopped making it now but with your willingness to have your own string you should reinvent it with your own name.
In the same racket as you I use Lynx Tour mains and Head Hawk Touch crosses. Great spin and control and a load of feel. I really like it.
Congratz on the 100k. Long overdue and well deserved. I think more people are playing full bed polys at tensions in the 40s. Not to be like everyone else, but hyperG and tourbite may be good try. I use poor mans gut tecnifibre on the mains.
I use a Poly Tour Pro with Solinco Tour Bite in a Hybrid setup. Both 1.25
23/23kgs
Would highly recommend it :)
Oooooo Karue you should try Genesis White Magic. It’s a nice soft poly that I’m using in my vcore 95. Bonus that it’s only $7 a set haha
Name suggestions! Maybe Bruin Blue from your time at UCLA? Or Itajaí Power? Or Sell-Ebrate? Or Ka-Ruthless! Lol. Congrats on 100k!
Hey Karue,
Suggestion for the string name?
I would try the Karue string. Congrats on 100k and all the success on the court! Have you ever tried low tension? I am stringing at half of your 60LB.
I can’t play with lower tension. Played all my life with high tension, it’s just my preference
Concratz with the 100K🎉
I would like to see you try weiss cannon ultra cable and hear your thoughts on this string! Any chance? I could send you a set to try :)
Congrats🎉 Well deserved plaque
I asume you have also tried the stiffer poly string lynx tour in a lower tension maybe beetwen 45-50. If no, why not? If yes, what you didnt like?
You should try Solinco Hyper G. Best string ever.
