Looks, sounds, feels like honest review. What I like about you guys is you really make sure to let us know, it's about personal preference. Pros and Cons for us to decide if we want to give a product a try or not. There is not a "best" racket or string out there.
Appreciate the thoughts and honest review! I like Wasabi and WasabiX so far, lots of good spin and control. I'm just trying poly strings after a long absence so not sure. I think its called Wasabi Pro.
I’m not a hybrid kinda guy, just tried poly/multi (and nuttygut) a few times before. I haven’t tried K-Pop but really liked green Wasabi mains and blue Wasabi X crosses. This hybrid makes sense with smooth poly in the cross, allowing insane snapback, massive spin and power while remaining controllable. I have this in Wilson Shift Pro at 51lbs, definitely a keeper!
I normally use hyper g 48lbs in my head speed pro. I strung up kpop in my racket same tension and I definitely felt a lack of free pop/power compared to hyper g. The string setup felt firmer/stiffer. And it felt like I had to work harder to get a good quality ball compared to my hyper g. I’m going to try a lower tension next time to see if that will help with the firmer feeling and give me more free pop in my Kpop.
You guys may consider putting a disclaimer regarding your level and ability to produce say medium racket head speed…and how this may influence the perception of products you review. For instance, you guys seem to like/endorse very lively strings but most advance players prefer the ‘boring’ control ones 😊
Would be good if you guys could try K-Pro and see if that played much different as the only difference between K-Pro and K-Pop is the wasabi colour in the mains. Would be an interesting comparison.
I like the feel of poly tour pro, but the go dead after a few hours of hitting, and they break to fast. K Pop felt muted for me too. I like the combination of toroline ether with caviar on the crosses. Just a bit more feeling.
I’m glad to hear you didn’t like it cause I here so much hype of Toroline strings and I really don’t like them, they feel terrible to me. Polytour Pro ( and Strike) and Confidential is so much better for me. I do like Restring Zero but hybriding with Wasabi x in the cross I lost too much control and it vibrated a lot more than full bed of Restring. The SnapBack is too much and the ball flies. Some RUclipsrs overemphasize SnapBack in my opinion, if it feels terrible and I’m tired of hearing the importance of SnapBack cause it’s useless if the string sucks. Wasabi x however hybrids beautifully with Head Velocity blue 130. Wasabi x mains, Velocity cross.
To me the problem of hybrids is that they get a problem (too many strings to choose from and you always feel like you’re missing out on something better), and make it exponentially worse lol
That only means that your satisfaction is worse, not the actual performance of the string. I have the same feeling though, I don't know what string to get at this point.

Thanks for the comment - absolutely it's about personal preference, the best racket for you indeed!

just saw you already have a video on it lol.

you fellows ought to try Firewire Boost. A pretty nice poly-poly hybrid. Ghostwire is now my preferred cross for all hybrids now.
Could you test the wasabi pro hybrid?

ive never done a combination where it felt like i got the pocketing that i would out of a full bed of the same string
I put kpop in my percept and it feels like a new racquet. Should've put it in a percept
We’ll try it out!

They feel quite different. I prefer the crisper feel of K-Pro
Is restring better then these? Or yellow poly tour pro? Try restring with poly tour pro

Will toroline be available in your store just like restring?
We hope so soon!
You are my guiding star
Zero against poly tour pro ?
Good idea - we’re on it!

Great review. You should try V Square x V Star
Durability is pretty good. Try it for sure if you like vsquare. Looks awesome too

Are there two of the same person or am I tripping balls?
Hahahahahahahaha! There's two of them
so wasabi pro wins
Shaped poly mains, round poly crosses
Wasabi is not round
