It’s sadly overshadowed by Alcatraz. Alcatraz is one of the most touristy things to do in San Francisco. So much so that tickets to the island are sold out in the summer. The next available tickets would be in September. I think Angel Island is the most underrated thing to do in SF. There are available tickets to Angel Island in the summer months.
I was there with my son in 2017 on a cruise stopping in San Francisco. Will be taking my husband this time around in September on another coastal cruise from Vancouver to L.A. It was an emotional visit the last time we were there. Thank you for bringing back memories.
