The bioluminescence is hard to predict and the intensity varies depending on the weather, whether it rained or not, and also on how dark it is. The Fajardo bioluminescence bay is brighter than this one. I had one of the most magical experience there. Also the Vieques bioluminescence bay is perhaps the brightest one.
Thanks for the suggestions and nice to hear about your experience in Fajardo! Next time I make it out to Puerto Rico, I hope to be able to spend more time on the eastern side. It would be cool to do a bioluminescence tour again.

The best place to experience the bioluminescence is in Fajardo or Vieques; Vieques having the highest count, but if you can't make it to Vieques, Fajardo definitely has a higher count than La Pagueras.

Hey! I can't recall who we booked with, but the shipping container place was called H20 Container Cabins. It was a great place to stay. It was closer to San Agustinillo though. It's in between Zipolite and Mazunte. A bit of walk to Zipolite, so if you want to be mostly in Zipolite, you might want some place a little closer in. We loved San Agustinillo though because we were able to easily get to all three of the main beaches in the area.

We recently stayed in Salchi which is technically Oaxaca but way closer to Huatulco. SUCH a lovely neighborhood!
Nice to see you here! Salchi sounds amazing for next time I'm in Oaxaca. Really enjoyed hearing about your stay there. Love finding places that are a little outside the go-to tourist spots.
The problem is you may want TO drive there. 17 April 2024 Car stopped wrecked physically abused Robbed Held hostage for 6 hours They even tore up photos of our children and grandchildren Freedom fighters Fighting a man 60 and my wife is 70. MEXICO should be ashamed. Think very hard before you visit MEXICO. Ite not as SAFE as it seems.

Spanish words which silables carry an accent mark on their vowels are stressed stronger on that particular syllable. You do not need to speak Spanish to make an effort and pronounce arqueológicas sites properly. Monte Al-bÁn!
