- Interesting Spruce/Mahogany 000, ready for gigs. I dig the black smoke finish- its certainly not for everyone. Any time a company can do a decent US made guitar in the $2k neighborhood I'm all for it, and this one fits that bill!
Recorded with Shure KSM32, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Logic Pro, no additional processing.

Nice playing, nice guitar.
Very nice tone and sustain! But I’m not crazy about the look of the dark gray and white together. Any idea of the price range of one of those? If the price was right, I might get over the look.
I think they retail at around $1799? Cheaper than a standard series 000-18, more than a 000-15m. I'd go with either of those options before this tbh. I owned this in sunburst, great guitar, no question, but sounded and felt thinner/cheaper than I expected from a Martin.
I always wonder if something like a 000-15/17 standard and adding a pickup after is a better choice.. and I agree.. I wish they’d offer these in a natural finish.
It’s absolutely stunning in person. I haven’t seen a picture or video that does the aesthetic justice. The sound for finger style blues is unmatched. The construction is so thin that you can feel it resonate. It’s such a neat guitar. I have a 15 series and a 28 series. I’d trade either of them for this. It’s best when you get to keep all three 😊 if I could only have one, I’d probably be in the 18 series, but I’d long for the 17 when playing porch blues.
i wonder what strings in this video used. factory setting mm strings doesnt sound good.
Strings are mentioned in the descreption: D'addario EJ16.
