Thank you all, particularly Andrea for talking about something so emotional in your life. Sometimes I think that impulsivity can be around trying to change the narrative of a particularly traumatic event. We act out in a certain way because changes the ending of a story from something that we are finding very hard to live with to something we can accept.
One of the scariest moments of my life was when a friend with BPD got very triggered by the audacity of a person in a Tesla not getting out of her way (she was having severe financial issues at the time and saw the driver as being entitled and privileged) and was already pissed off beforehand. She rapidly accelerated and swerved so fast I was convinced I was going to die as she was inches away from hitting and being hit by multiple vehicles. I never got into a car with her again. A person who is that impulsive is as dangerous as a driver as a person who has a seizure disorder in my opinion.
That sounds so scary for everyone involved and I don’t blame you for not wanting to be driven by her again. I used to have severe road rage too , so I get where she’s coming from. I hope she learns to get a handle on that stuff bc dealing not knowing how to control your anger can get ya in really scary situations.
Are you effing kidding me…driving like that…I nearly died from a drunk driver. Like that makes me extremely angry. I’m bpd & get it but that’s zero excuse. ZERO. Honestly this doesn’t even sound like bpd it just sounds like complete irresponsibility. Or being a normal lonely person. Most of this does…an entire level removed from myself wow
Great video, very important conversation handled very respectfully by everyone involved.
A therapist I heard had a theory that said that people with BPD are actually people with ADHD that went through some type of trauma. I feel this 100%.
I think it's good that you're showcasing a man with BPD as well, it's commonly women with BPD who are represented in the mental health community.
More and more this is changing. ✨❤️
Excellent. Great listening
❤❤❤❤ love you guys!!!

Reckless driving is, as it turns out, one of the examples listed under impulsivity in the DSM-5 criteria for BPD.
The main host with pink headphones makes me feel so uneasy - cluster b’s are so intense and draining
This was so boring to watch switched off after 2 mins
