A suggestion on upgrade on coffee making. For R200 you get a aluminium moka pot from Checkers (their own brand with a solid one piece base, stay away from the imported Italian crap with the pressed in composite base). it makes a nice rich strong ~200ml with a crema; basically a triple espresso. IMHO tastes better than the french press, it is a lot quicker, takes less space and most importantly no glass pieces that can break. you can pair it with a small R150 stainless steel milk frother jug for the fancy coffee drinks if you are so inclined.
Looks like Andy is slowly getting to know what works and doesn't for his overlanding needs. In the not too distant future, I can just see him upgrading to a RTT. 😁
This is a custom build with Bushtech and Adrian’s collective skills, providing space-saving, easy accessibility comfort for Andy on his travels. Very impressive!
@@RoamOverlanding He was apparently relieved to be alone again😈🤣Very cool set-up indeed! Simple, functional and good use of space for solo travelling. Hopefully we meet you next time Adrian🙂 We apparently just missed when we arrived. Happy travels👍
Nice to see the Isuzu again. I've got the '98 280 Frontier, absolutely love it, only thing now, it's original suspension is now shot. Hopefully i can get a few more kilometers out of it 🙈. Thanks for the share, looking forward to the next one 🤙👍
That's a great little build - is he able to look the back doors from the inside? Also, and unrelated to this video, do you know where to source Troopys in SA?
Reminds me of my setup when I started. Super happy with this built. Goes to show that it's not all about everything but less still works like everything ❤❤❤
Wish we can get RTT for Uncle Andy… He deserves 1 But I get you, 1 thing a time… Step by step… Shows us we don’t need expensive equipment to enjoy the outdoors
For sure, but honestly I actually think what he has is better than a rooftop tent 🤣 he is in and out there faster than me 😅 he uses a lot less fuel than me too. It’s different, but it’s a great setup!
It’s not about capability, the vehicle is more than capable. It’s about understanding and valuing how and why you need something, and not just getting a bunch of hand me downs. Andy may very well get a rooftop tent one day, but we all go through the process of upgrading from one thing to the next over time. Right now fuel economy is more important to Andy than a rooftop tent 🫡
Andy must add a Roof top tent it would would be epic 👍🏽💯
Watching from INDIA, And waiting eagerly for 100k ❤
So happy for uncle Andy!!!🥰

Pleased to have met both you and your wife. Great chats

Interesting Episode. Love the budget build. Was great to run into you at the 4x4. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes.
Thanks! Some cool ones coming!
Great update on the "Old Soldier". Those window boxes are so handy and practical. Are you planning to sell velcro backed patches merch?
Definitely. Just struggling to find the right suppliers I would love to get them made out of pvc!

Thanks for your awesome vid shares, always feels like I'm right there 🕶🤙👍
Love the setup Andy! :) Just a word of warning, perhaps have a dustkit fitted asap on your tailgate if you are planning to keep your bedding in there!
Good call! He has one already! 🤙🏻

Great update - I was hoping you’d post an update soon on Andy’s build. Thanks Adrian. I think it’s also high time I ordered some merch too!
Thanks for the support! Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Glad you enjoyed it
Woo hoo budget build!!
That vehicle has so much spirit 🤣
Surely you must have one of your old RTT's you can donate to Andy.😂
But then you have to add the weight and wind resistance 🤣 that little setup of his is super cozy 😜

Hi Adrian
What is the name of the camping site you were at?
I have no idea! Hahah we just picked something off iOverlander, it was near Standerton. Maybe a fishing club or something
Nice build. Hope the gas bottels is outside when he sleeps.
Hope you do a Isuzu t shirt too, I don't wear Toyota shirts, Jimny yes
We will have to do one at some point 🤣
HI,
I follow you from Italy.
Could you tell me the code of the springs you chose.
Thank you
We use Terrain Tamer Smart Coils on all our vehicles.
