I'm glad I met you on here when I had an A-Fib episode because I've learned so much about heart health that I wouldn't have bothered to listen otherwise. I've always been told I was healthy so I would not have done anything even though there were a history of heart attacks on my family. Thanks to you, I'll never have that attitude again. You bet you're not wasting your time! You're doing is a service! God bless you!

My husband called the ambulance around 20 times during 2018 because of my chest pain.
It was a very bad year for me with a lot of anxiety, loss of my mother, stress.
At the ER they checked everything. I stayed over night 2 times. Nothing wrong with my heart.
I got transmitted to another hospital where I sat on a bicycle with isotop in my veins, a cardiologist checked my EKG during the whole thing.
Then I had to wait before going in to a "tunnel" for 25 minutes where they took 3D pictures of my heart.
My veins where clear, my heart was healthy.
I have smoked in the past, over 50. Never had alcohol. I'm vegan since 1989, I'm 164 cm my weight today was 55kg. Good blood pressure.
Still I get anxious when I get chest pain. Or should I say more anxious then usual.
It's embarrassing how many times I've been to the ER.
Thank you again for all the great videos.
    Greetings from Sweden.

I thought I had heartburn at first, but I felt so bad I went to hospital. Calling an ambulance would have been better, but I didn't really believe bullet-proof me would be having a heart attack, even though I was. Echo is normal except for a scar, so I got of lightly. If in doubt calling an ambulance is perfectly reasonable.

Doc Sanjay excellent video and very informative. I am very thankful to you. You have somewhat eased my mind. 2 months ago I went to hospital with chest pain. The ECG showed it was fine. They kept me at hospital overnight. Blood test A&B both came back negative for heart attack. The doctors told me the pain towards the left of my upper chest and the same place in my back is most likely arthritic pain as I do have rheumatoid arthritis in my major joints. However since then I have had pain in the same place or there about and my arm/shoulder nearly everyday. I am Still a little worried. Now I have asked my doctor that I would like this checked in outpatients as I am due for abdominal surgery in around 10 months time and I'm worried in case I have a heart condition. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance ...

Hello Doc...I had to go to the Hospital not to long ago because of elevated blood pressure and heaviness in the chest. No sharp pain just felt uneasy and a little weak. I finally made it to urgent care and they did ekg. It was normal but I also know that sometimes the ekg can be misleading. He send me to the ER and a cardiac panel was done which showed no enzymes in the blood and I was send home a little later. I had no heart burn or ate spicy food the evening before. They gave me some baby aspirins and send me home.

Dear Dr. Gupta: I am a 60+ female and last August 8, 2018, I had a heart attack. Quite a shock to me as I exercise at least 5 days a week, watch my diet and have always been very healthy. That morning I did my usual 400 abs, dumbells, planks, squats and by 1:24 p.m. I started feeling pressure in the middle of the upper chest and uncomfortable heartburn. I chewed a 325 mg. aspirin and went to my family doctor who said I should head for hospital. I went home, took a shower and went to hospital where I was told I was having a heart attack and the troponins were at 8% (had no idea what the % was). I was put on Brilinta 90 mgs, to take for a year, Rosuvastatin 40 mgs for 4 mos. and now 20 mgs. and EC Aspirin 81 mgs. for life. Do you think I can be taken off Crestor? Anyway, I tell all the women I know and meet to keep aware of their body signals. I like all your videos. Thank you.

Idk if this will be seen, but I woke up at around 11:40pm and quickly sat up to make my 10 month old her bottle. I went to the bathroom and immediately started feeling pain in my chest. It was really painful. It felt hard to breathe. Bending over helped a little with the pain. I took 3 Tums, but they didn’t help. I made myself throw up, didn’t make me feel any better. I really thought I was experiencing really bad heartburn because I had tacos for dinner at around 3pm and then ate some pizza around 9pm. But, I do vape. I’m severely overweight. I don’t exercise. I’m really scared I might’ve had a heart attack. I’ve felt this pain before (not as bad as this time though). It’s really painful, like I literally cry because of the pain.

My aunt went to bed with what she thought was indigestion. She died that night of a heart attack. A painful but somewhat peaceful death at home. She was old.

I’m 57 slightly overweight with acid reflux and pre diabetic. I’ve always attributed the discomfort at night with reflux because it’s always accompanied by severe belching, wakes me up from a deep sleep with a reflex of gasping for air and leaning over side of bed where I throw up acid. This goes away later in the evening close to when I wake up in the morning. What is the relationship between occasional acid reflux as described and the heart and risk of heart attack?

Hi sanjay. I’m 18 and I have chest pain but only on the left side of my chest. It comes and goes. I might get it once and I might not get it for a few months. I’m confused if it’s heart disease. Please advice.

I am 17 , recently I've been quite scared of having an heart attack. I weight 64 kg and im 6'0" . I've been having some chest discomfort but really small things, it might be because im always sitting on a chair idk but once every 2-3 days I workout to stay fit. If im having a sudden heart attack what should I do or how do I prevent it from happening ?
    Sorry for my bad english

It's unlikely that it's related to your heart. However it's always good to get your blood pressure checked and to get your lipid profile checked. It the numbers are okay, then it's probably a cramp or indigestion

At 17 ur very unlikely to have a heart attack...unless u use heavy recreational drugs like cocaine or meth that too in heavy doses..there are many factors for chest pains from muscle spasms to lung infections or acidic reflux..so not worry and relax.

    Hi
I'm 16 and I have this pain in my arms that already last for days.
I found on google that heart attack symptoms can only last for few minutes or hours.
I already had left chest pain that last for days and it spreads in my arms with some muscle spasm and twitching. I often burp and my troat feels like full of air and some liquids. My mouth also taste bitter.
Can heart attack symptoms that last for days in constant can be a cause of heart attack?

    • @clarkvincent9295
      @clarkvincent9295 3 года назад

The symptoms I have is constant over a week
      Does this mean
It's unlikely that I could have heart attack?
I had left chest discomfort for about 3 days
And then it started to spread in my arm and back.
I've been been anxious browsing in google and have mental breakdowns.
Tho I don't feel the chess discomfort anymore but my arms
      Still feels discomfort
      I still have my anxiety
      Do my anxiety cause this?

I think i had a mild heart attack, I'm 60 yrs old male. went cut the grass weather was a little cold, I got chest pains, next day pain was still there, then my jaw start tensioning up. I don't have medical. I took hot shower didn't help. Later that night i took a hot bath and that did it, got out of tub and felt no chest pain and no tension in my jaw. If this didn't work i was going to go to hospital. woke in morning felt my jaw was really sore. not tension that good. my watch as atrial fibrillation apps show no sign. that good. I weight 167lbs height 5'7". I eat all health, i don't eat out. cook meals at home. Don't drink sodas, just water. going eat more vegs and less meat.and i don't use seed oils. but i haven't been to the gym in 9 months. time to go back. That could be the main factor. I think i was really lucky. sign to start taking better care of myself.

The best thing my dad ever told me whenever I had bad pains in my chest, stomach and even my behind, was "It'll be a wandering f*rt" otherwise known as a "WF". I've often had sharp pains so bad it's taken my breath away for a short while and hurts to breath too deeply. I just remember my father's words and the pain does usually go within a minute or two. Get a good burp up if you can (or let one rip out the other end) and you should feel better! I used to hold gas in when I was dating and I got the worst WF pains ever!

Hello Dr Sanjay would love to ask a question? As my family has as history of heart problems .I was wondering if it could be genetic .I've seen a cardio consultant as getting pains in chest esg they say was normal .He told me I had most probably got costochrondritis and put me on statins which I'm reluctant to take .my mum died of heart problems which was A fib .I'm quite a concerned as I stress alot over things just like my mum .I still get the chest pain on left of my chest. Sometimes very heavy and stabbing .I do suffer with fibromyalgia, underactive thyroid and osteoarthritis and high blood pressure which is always high.Would you advise me to take these statins because I'm reluctant to take them.im on pregablin for fibro and losartan. 100mg and thyroxine 50mg .Any comments would be of great help. Thankyou sir for your wonderful videos .For your time and your help.Totally amazing Dr wish they were all like you.Thankyou from the bottom of my 💓 god bless.💖💜xx

hi I'm melissa for the past months I had fast heart most of the time it's up. well along with this I'm short of breathe at times then all throughout the day I get random stab pains in center of chest then sometimes under left breast. I've been to a cardiogist and got an echo and stress test nothing was found but this all started in august and has gotten worse. trying to figure out if chest.pain is coming from heart problem and sometimes I'm a tad dizzy or feel unsteady. so just kinda wondering what would suddenly bring on all this for a 21 year old because it is taking over my life 😑

James Smith You maybe experiencing Anxiety or symptoms of Acid Reflux. It could even be a sprain in your chest muscle. I had the same thing. I was worried and went to the doctor and they didn't find anything. Have you got it checked? Just to be safe than sorry.
