Come join me as I explain what was done to my truck, and do my first load back! (Sooiler Alert, its with the moffett!)

I found your channel about 2 weeks ago. In that 2 weeks you have become my favorite RUclipsr, and I have learned so much from your videos. I must say thank you so much for the effort you are putting into doing this for us, it is much appreciated. I'm a 48 year old Michigan resident. Spent the last 29 years in sweat shop factory work. About this time a year ago I decided I had suffered enough, and walked away from everything I knew, went to CDL school, and became a driver in January 2022. It has been the most challenging, exciting, nerve-wracking, enjoyable, terrifying, and life-improving 9 months of my life. Being a trucker has been everything I had hoped it would be, and more. I have my doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements, just doing dry van for now, but I want to get into the big-boy stuff someday. Any advice on a career path I should take?

Keep doing what you’re doing! Take a look at the names on the side of the door of the other trucks you see driving on the road and if you see a gig that you think would be right for you, look em up!

One of the many reasons that the PA Turnpike is so expensive is because of the legislative Act signed in 2007. The Act compels the Turnpike to pay PennDot 450M per year thru June 2022. At that point, it was reduced to 50M p/y until 2057. Thus far the Turnpike has paid 8B to PennDot.

Watching you on that phone Satellite Map view studying your route brought back some memories ❤
I hauled produce from south FL to Halifax, NS, cleared the border all the time, pretty quickly, it wasn't bad at all, they were looking for drugs back then in trailer and inside my truck, specifically if it was a FL load
Google Maps, and so many other trucker apps are a way of life today, indispensable it seems. Looking back to 1979 when I started, we did it with a McNally Road Atlas, (paper pages type) sitting right there over that passanger seat, if you didn't have a pocket on the side your door to place it, also we needed a pocket full of quarters, nickels and dimes to stop in town to make that payphone call (we had no cell phones) getting specific roadway detailed directions to the delivery and usually you got good directions, some times they made mistakes saying to make a left instead of right turn, other times it was my mistake
How quickly we have adjusted to technology, it was so different back then than today
    BINGE watching again 😍👍

Im surprised the MTO went after you on the pipes. There are tons of straight pipe trucks out there in Ontario. And personally, I'd rather they focus on real safety issues. I see a lot of trash on the roads around Toronto and area. Glad to see you are on the road again. That all said, I have had them go after me for using rubber bungees to hold down a tarp... Told me they have no WLL while all of mine were new and tagged for 50lbs WLL...
    42PSI! wow.

If you or you know someone that welds pretty good, can always cut the muffler, weld in the straight pipe so the appearance is that you HAVE a muffler, but of course you will know what really went on there. Plus you can still say that "Yes, I do have a muffler." even though it might not muffle anymore.
Good having you back on the road (I know it's October now just catching up).

Have you ever had the ride height checked. That will give you a possible vibration. The ac fan issue could be a high pressure switch, possibly over charged system. Maybe have the alignment checked for the tire cupping. If the drives are out,it will also affect the steer toe in.Sorry i know I’m full of bad news to spend your hard earned cash. Lol

Isn't it funny how when you're mentally calibrated to backing double trailers, going back to a single trailer can screw with you? I ran a 5 axle dump truck with 3 axle con gear dolley and 3 axle trailer for 2 years. When I went back to a normal 5 axle tractor trailer, it took me a few weeks to readjust to a trailer responding to what I wanted it to do...
