Honestly, watching this after the Busted break up, there is a lot of hidden meaning with his unhappiness in this song. Even though it wasn't written that way or with that topic in mind (was written by his brother after all), it's definitely sung that way here.
This was the moment you could tell by his aggressive/heavy rock performance that Charlie had made up his mind he was gonna leave the band. Listening to interviews with him also kinda confirms that this would have been more or less true.
Not to mention the rig he used here was the exact rig he used to produce the phased clean guitar tone on Lost Like Tears in Rain off Fightstar's first EP.
This song was actually written for fightstar, he was already wanting to leave and their manager forced him to put this song on the busted album which was the final nail in the coffin for him

If you want my opinion. Charlie really is showing how versatile of a musician he is, from writing his own solo indie work, to the Electronic music of One Upon A Dead Man, to the Pop Rock of Busted to the heavy adrenaline rock of Fightstar. Similar to how Corey Taylor fronts Slipknot & Stone Sour, it's really the approach Charlie has taken with Fighstar & Busted. For me I think re-joining Busted partly came down with the financial side a bit, not saying he sold out for money. But Fightstar just don't really provide the financial support for Simpson's family, let alone for several families, despite how good their music is. The other band members had to get additional jobs and put Fightstar as a passion project in order for them to continue touring and record more music as Fightstar, so Charlie rejoining Busted was his way of doing just that and support his family. But the main reason why I think he rejoined Busted was because how people looked down at Busted as just another commercial band who were selling an image and not music. Charlie's efforts as a hard rock frontman, solo musician weren't enough for him to escape the label of: "Charlie Simpson of Busted", where Busted weren't taken that serious. So he rejoined in order to make Busted a respected band and write music not better then before, but more mature and respectable. Hence why the new album will be much more different then the past 2 records. Because these aren't 3 teenage dudes talking about the Year 3000, their High School teacher crush, crashing a wedding etc. I love the new single and I really am interested to see how this new Busted record does. Again all this is just my thoughts and my perspective from what I understand to be the actions of Simpson. You're welcome to disagree with me if you think I'm wrong.
charlie is one of the most gorgoues guys i've ever laid eyes on..*rest her head on her hand and daydreams* if i could just have him :)..back to reality...Busted was a good group for their genre of music, not usually the type i listen and that says a bit about them...Fightstar is actually my favorite band right now..they rlly need to tour in the US..busted did too lol..but i think this song is great and charlies singing is amazing...i swear i'd melt if i ever saw/heard him sing in person

I adore charlie so much the mans a ledgend As much as i adored busted and still do I love fightstar aswell and if it wasnt for the busted split i wouldnt be into half the music i am today Id still be listening to pop and all mainstream stuff where as the split opened my mind to so much more.
