Oliver J. It does indeed blink rapidly to let you know you should probably start slowing down but it is also a gear indicator as seen here 11:24 and also 11:42 and many other instances.

They do 45 min races on one charge. They used to pit stop to change cars and just keep driving.
If you can fast charge a car up to 80% on 30 minutes, that makes it easy to use two cars to drive in 24h races.
Don't know if there's any technical limitation to making removable car batteries, but I want to see cars that have 3-4 large flat batteries that slot into the bottom of the car, and can be easily pulled out and replaced by fully charged copies. So instead of bringing 3 cars to a race, they have 1 car and 12+ batteries. Since it's not already been done, I think there's some limitation to it.

@@Erafune Well as SuperGT stated, the batteries can weigh as much as 8 tons each. I drive a forklift and the batteries there are maybe 2 feet wide, 4 feet long and 3 feet tall, not a huge package, and they each weigh 3000 pounds. That's about as much as many cars on the road. They're ridiculously heavy, especially in comparison to your average car engine when you factor in the power output as well.
@@amihere383 He was exaggerating when he said the batteries weigh 8 tons. A Tesla Model X which is an electric suv weighs less than 3 tons. That’s still a lot but nowhere near 8.

So I’ve been trying to make my own GT Sport videos (for fun mainly,not really for YT) and so I screen record my races on the ps4 with the share button.Well,whenever I watch the videos in my capture gallery,it’s TRASH quality.Even when I transfer my videos to my phone or computer to edit it’s STILL terrible quality.Any tips for recording GT sport games?

Polyphony got it right if Super GT thinks it feels heavy and has snap-oversteer. It's truly odd to not hear every lead sled full of batteries indicating if it's on the gas through loud noises, and just hearing tire squeal. You can hear the road though.

So, I get what you are saying. However, driving my Model 3 on Laguna Seca I can tell you that inside the car, on a race track it is definitely not salient and you can hear the motors going. It's certainly a different feeling and sensation but it's not as silent as you might think. Great content, love your videos and stuff. Also, REALLY loving the karting videos you have been putting out! Looking forward to more of those.

I actually like the sound of Formula E. It's the sound of wind rushing and the quiet whining of electric motors that I relate to those futuristic sci-fi vehicles. Kind of like what'd I think I would hear for any sort of high performance hover car or F-Zero like racer. Plus it's easier to dub memes over it.
Besides, you don't really see normal ICE luxury cars and people movers racing anyways. They aren't designed for it either.

no lie, i actually fell asleep somewhere around the 3 minute mark, and woke up at your closing screen/porsche part with the music.
I can't watch Formula E, it's like watching a large RC car drive around a car park. Also the quality of the drivers could be better but that might be due to the bad circuits.

7:27 Oh man, you would have been laughing for the entire race if you had seen what happened to me! Starting in the middle of the pack on the left side, less than a second into the race, as soon as my car comes out of the autopilot (still turning right) and I start to correct the steering, it goes just a notch to the left and I hit that very same barrier and do a 180. As you can imagine I wasn’t laughing at all afterwards. I almost quit playing this race as I kept getting these stupid penalties when others were hitting me! I went from B/S to C/E or whatever, infuriating!

Yes, all GTS (race)cars are road legal cars with no special modification added to them, straight from the factory, like, 8 years ago.
That's why the handling is so great.
You know, I love my old M3 GT daily driver, with that headcutting wing. We all use quality earbuds hearing protection each time we get into our cheap reliable cars like 911 RSR or the NSX, right? Teslas are just waaay too expensive.

The GT Sport penalty system is completely buggered. I passed a car on the straight, about 2 metres between us, and I got a 5 second penalty. A lap later I completely stuffed it on corner entry and catapulted some poor innocent bloke into the next country, he needed his passport to get back.... He copped a penalty and I got a green SR flag, ridiculous. I've always battled on and finshed a race that wasn't going well but recently I've pulled out of several after getting false penalties

I've seen Tiff driving the prototype Tesla race car in lovecars. The brake faded after 2 laps because of how heavy the car is and Tiff driving it hard with late braking
I've had the privilege of driving one of these around a track, my boss, whose a good friend bought one and brought it to track day. I can confirm, they handle as poorly irl as they do in this game around a track. Quick in the straights, hopeless everywhere else. And thats before it overheats after a handful of laps around a short track.
Apparently the standard Model S has a much smaller battery which should help performance a bit. But the signature is certainly awful in the corners.
My Nissan fairlady Z33 had a quicker lap time. To be fair, i have significantly more seat time in the nissan and so i can probably squeeze more out of it. And the nissan is an actual sports car, but still. The nissan is 5 years older, cost a fraction as much and has significantly less power.

These Teslas are P85+, old, RWD. I would like, even if in minority, for them to add the latest Raven or non Raven, Model S Performance for comparison. The sound wouldn't change too much though.
I think Formula E is pretty good. There’s close racing, it’s electric so it’s good for the environment, it draws more people into racing, but the fact they only run on street circuits is a bit of a shame. Why, you ask? Well, they have to close down streets and roads, which means they have to be stopped for days. Because of that, it limits the locations the sport can go to, as some countries are very busy.
Can you add next time some v12 f1 sounds? What make the video really enjoyable!

I like the formula e cars. I just want to see better tracks, like you said, and I want to see the tech continue to develop so we can see slightly faster races, which would open up the possibility of having better, larger tracks as venues.
I actually love and literally have no complaints for silent racing
Formula E is pretty cool. While the sound is most definitely not loud... it’s still impressive to hear those electric motors spinning up without the need to change gears. I like to watch it when I want to see F1 style racing with much more traffic. I wish the rules weren’t so different that they nearly two different sports all together.
