looks like your feeling / doing better . good to see. when we did the 67 patina stepside build, i installed an aluminum rad from an 88-98 GM. direct bolt in. we also used an s10 t5 and you're right, overdrive is the way to go in the classics. that engine must be ahead in the I6 position if the HEI fits in the back. i like the 90's formula fiber spoiler on the 86. very cool. the 5.3 im using in the 83 bird is from a 2005 and it also has the 4th gen internals and bigger connecting rods. i put a jeep steering shaft in today.
MrJohn613 both of my cars have modified Astro shafts. The c10 I really am interested in doing the AR5 trans swap. The 350 runs really well but long term I would like efi and I already have everything for an engine swap minus trans. I’m ready to get my big truck going again so I can cover the Camaro up the sun is killing the stripes and interior.
@@screaming86 ah yeah the sun, it creates life and destroys man made objects LOL ive heard good things about the AR5 on sloppy mechanics page. if they like it, it must stand up to the abuse. the NV3500 was a decent gearbox but i think it has the short input shaft so AR5 is probably the way to go.
i clicked the thumbnail because i wanted to see more pics of the speedline 01-02 ws6 wheels on the trans am, and then you didn't show the car outside in the video. do you have a link to a build thread with pics?

1flynlow I do enjoy them but honestly they look way better on my Z28 lol I’m really wanting to finally blow the Bird completely apart and paint it and change some things so idk how much longer I’ll have the speedlines on it.
