2:00 Not exactly an "under armor", it's actually the Power Armor's servos and electric powered fibres that moves the whole thing. They're not hydraulic, but electrically motivated artificial muscles that enhance the wearer's overall strength, the actual armor pieces are mounted over it. Those artificial powered muscles are used in all Power Armor types used by all kinds of humans in 40k.

Many Space Marine armors and weapons are inherited from previous dead Space Marines of many generations. So some of them are literally carrying into battle millennia old sacred relics that have killed thousands of humanity enemies, such relics themselves deserve utmost respect hence the prayer. And in the 40k universe, belief if strong enough, can be channeled through the Warp into reality so those relics can be incredibly powerful.

Theres one episode of angels of death called kill command on youtube for free. Its a show made by richard boylan. Hes the one who made helsreach which is a superb fan film on youtube. His work on that was how he got hired by games workshop.
@ti8ick I think you'll be ok. It's basically just a prequel episode to the main series showing how this one character became the captain of a blood angels ship. Shows how there's a lot more to a space marine chapter that just the marines. There's lots of normal humans that make up the ship crews and lots of other positions. Also shows a human interaction with a machine spirit.
The armor can be taken off, and usually is when a battle brother is not actively campaigning or otherwise about to face battle. The armor is designed to be worn indefinitely, often for months or years at a time. Its internal systems process and filter bodily waste materials, recycling them into nutrient paste the Astartes can then eat.
3 absolute jewels to watch: "Death of Hope" by Mark Louis Spark (pure grimdark) "Helsreach: The Movie" by RBoylan Film (over 3 hours of awesomness) "Astartes Project" by Syama Pedersen (... want MORE) Massive shoutout to the talent, since official stuff is sadly still all like made by Disney or worse.
The armour is powered and the power source is in the "backpack" and once it is connected and powered it becomes like a second skin. The space marine doesn't feel the weight of the armour, the armour enhances his strength and mobility.
i recommend the helsreach series by Richard boylan. it takes audio from the audio books and do an animation for it. its multiple hours long. but can be broken into different chapters
Yeah. So. Ahem. So. Anyway. My 2000AD Dredd themed Arbites are black with golden jockstraps. They really do kind of look like the golden belt buckle he often has.
Something important to detail: The equipment of the space marine (including the armor) is already used. This is an important element of the series: Human can barely manufacture something briand new because they want to avoid scientific progress (Technoheresy)
Uh...no. Humans make things all the time, they just do so according to the standard template. Hive cities are giant factories that constantly make shells, bullets, missiles, vehicles, and armor. Play Darktide and you actually fight through a forge area where the characters even comment on the fact they make tanks there (Veterans will comment on seeing a Leman Russ on the assembly line). Space Marine armor takes forever to make however. This is due to the fact the Mechanicus refuses to make it without performing every single ritual for every single step. So just making a new helmet can take nearly a month. The ceramite itself also takes forever to to create so there is that part too. Technoheresy is when you create, not when you simply build. Basically everything Cawl does is technoheresy. The Primarus Marines are even technoheresy as Cawl created the method by which they are made, AND he created the new armor and such they use. The Mechanicus consider most of what the Salamanders do to be on the verge of technoheresy (they build their own armor and weapons according to old templates from Vulcan, and any they get from the Mechanicus they personalize for their own needs). Just following the STC schematics however is not technoheresy which is what all of humanity does. The real reason that armor is used armor is because it takes to long for the Mechanicus to make new armor. So they use what they can from the armor of the dead and only replace damaged parts. Usually two or three damaged armors can be combined into one functional set.
The genius of 40K is that it is so awesome, so cool and at the same time totally overdone and ridiculous. But it all comes together to make something unique and wonderful.
There are animation shows on Warhammer + actually. The one I can easily recomend is Pariah Nexus which follows a Space Marine from the Salamenders chapter with a Battle Sister fighting Necrons. There's Angels of Death as well, but it's better to know a little bit about the Blood Angels for this one because the show is centered on them
The armour is supposed to handle bodily functions, a bit like a Dune Stillsuit, plus their enhanced biology and special Astartes food is very high in protein (along with many other ingredients that'd kill non-augmented normal humans, so likely not much excrement production from combat rations(, stims and medicae drugs from the suit, or an Apothicary,) akin to SR-71 pilots pre-flight meals being mostly protein rich to reduced fecal matter relative to energy content per gram/ounce.
I would recommend Pariah Nexus, there should be all the parts on RUclips. or death of hope, a little dark but well done. There is also the mini series Exodite.
The armor is totally independent from the environment. It has its own oxygen and takes care of things like feeding and pooping. Or to be precise Space Marines are vastly different and their bodies are far more perfect than normal human's - they produce so little extremities that Space Marine armor can take care of it. I mean Space Marines can survive in the hard vacuum of space in those armors of theirs. And you cannot poison them with any neurotoxin unless you breach the armor.
This rly is a ritual in some Legions. Some do it themself with just one servent but this is a Ultramarine. They do it the big way. This is like a ritual because for most people it is. These are the holy angels of the Emporer, made of him. So thay clading an littrl angel in armor to got to war for them. And the Mechanicum... he got big tech on him.
Once you've watched some more and feel familiar with the 40k universe i recommend the Helsreach series, an audiobook adapted into a movie. The story is fantastic and it follows the best space marine chapter The Black Templars.
And I thought I need long to get ready! 🤣 If you have to do this with everyone of your Battle Group, the fight is over when all are ready to roll out! 😉😇
You Should see the Fan made video of a Raptor Space Marine being armored. Edit: It's a lot more minimalist and more practical than the ritualistic of the ultramarines armoring.
Very similar to the Starcraft 2 armoring sequence... which is a fantastic clip. And yes I know that Starcraft was intended to be withing the Warhammer license.
I highly recommend both Warrior Tier and Vox in the Void. Both make similar content and both make some of the best YT Warhammer 40k content. Warrior Tier’s “Lamenters Story” and Vox in the Void’s “Gav and Bob” series would be my recommendations for their respective first watches.
I love the details here. Almost all get made by servitors, but not the breastplates with the Imperialis. This have to put on by humans. If you want so see an Inquisitor at work "The Lord Inquisitor - Prologue" could be interesting. ^^
Space Marines used to see what the helmet (and the suits other sensors) see, rather than looking through the eye pieces of the helmet itself. But the Primaris were so strong they decided to give everyone else a chance by letting you shoot them in the damn eyeballs. It's the one thing that annoys me about this cinematic, although I understand they did it because they thought it looks cool and dramatic (which it does).
if you see a similarity to starcraft... then yes, you do. starcraft was supposed to be a 40k game, but they couldnt get the license. which is why the terrans look so much like marines, the protoss are eldar, and the zerg are tyranids. considering how well starcraft has done for itself, GW really buggered that one. but this was before they started handing out the lisence to every developer and their dog.
The Trailers for 40k 9th and 10th edition as well as Kill Team are really cool, though also on the shorter side. Most fan projects are on the shorter side, though there are a few really nice ones. I think there is still a version of Astartes on RUclips, definitely worth checking out. SODAZ made really nice videos, like 'Death Korps of Krieg', though he's moved on to making mostly Halo Animations from what I can tell, so you'd have to go for the Reuploads on a different channel. I also like the 'Lord Inquisitor' project, or what we got from that before they moved on. The Grey Knights Teaser has a somewhat similar idea to this video (still very awesome as far as I am concerned), and the Prologue is also very nice. If you ever feel like checking out the Fantasy side of Warhammer, the Total War Warhammer Trailers are almost all really nice.
After Brickys Vids as I've just caught the one you've watched you'll have to find a Leauge of Votann one Because well...Space Dwarfs nothing else to say! And they need more love Lol
Nearly everything involving tech is full of rituals. Mainly to calm the machine spirit...the A.I. in nearly everything....yes, A.I. is forbidden, but if the intelligence is the machine spirit, it is ok ;)
Everything is recycled in the suit to feed the reactor and the marine. There is films (not great) there are additions to games. The lore is massive and they go into how a marine is made. Most of the successful candidates have gone through many many trials to get there. You have to remember they are expendable in the eyes of the emperor, they are his to use as the tools to build and defend the Imperium. Marines are fighting machines, built to be the best. They can eat anything.
When possible, check out " True Size of a Space Marine Chapter" Parts 1 and 2 by Invicta. Also If you want to see a full tv show, I recommend going to Warhammer+ and checking out "Angels of Death"
Fans of bolter and the world of eternal love just need to watch a series of videos from Sodaz Warhammer and/or a film adaptation of the book HELSREACH (also a fan work). Quality, plot, action, pain, tears.

Including putting on and assembly of power armor.
Making of a space marine is another level of horror. There is probably some videos explaining it
Space Marines can take their armor off at anytime unless they are a chaos marine
Angels of Death on Warhammer+. Great one.
For more high quality stuff and nice stories, I can't recommend Pariah Nexus and Hammer & Bolter enough.
She loves the Sisters already so I recommended those too👏
Plus I chose a sisters of battle lore video from Baldermort (who’s always amazing). And then brand new channel called bstuartTI just released a bunch of AI generated short scenes for the Sisters that is actually reallyyyy good.
Thank you! A lot of people in my stream mentioned Pariah Nexus and I heard good things about Hammer & Bolter roo so I guess it's time to get a WH+ lol
I found two lore videos on Sisters in his channel, guess I'll watch both! Thank you for recommendation
@@ti8ick Exploring Warhammer 40k: The Adepta Sororitas -The Exploring Series
👆This one gives the shortest, most succinct overview I have found of the sisters of battle. Unfortunately Baldermorts overview is like 45min and this one is 15. So, content-wise, The Exploring Series is prolly better to react to.
Baldermort, (our faithful servant) is the very best at immersing us INTO the world though, and his particular focus on a single sect of the sisters is very nice:
SISTERS REPENTIA OF THE ADEPTUS SORORITAS IN WARHAMMER 40000 -Baldermort
Plus it gives the background to the scripture dress awesomeness you can find in the very short video:
Sister Of Battle - Warhammer 40k (Unofficial) -bstuartTI
@@ti8ickDefinitely check out Baldemort's one first, he does a little short story before he gets into the lore so you can get a sense of the faction before the video actually starts. Tibs I tell you, I was in literal tears in the middle of the kitchen with goosebumps all over me lmao. Be prepared, uncle Baldemort is a must
Oh wow, I just noticed for the first time, when the power pack is attached his eyes dilate at 3:55
2:00 Not exactly an "under armor", it's actually the Power Armor's servos and electric powered fibres that moves the whole thing. They're not hydraulic, but electrically motivated artificial muscles that enhance the wearer's overall strength, the actual armor pieces are mounted over it. Those artificial powered muscles are used in all Power Armor types used by all kinds of humans in 40k.
Warhammer related shows: Hammer and Bolter, (short tales compilation from the Warhammer universe) and Pariah Nexus (brought the green salamanders back to action) YOU ARE WELCOME
after playing darktide i can fully appreciate how MASSIVE that boltgun is
Especially when you consider we get a human rifle version. People keep asking for it in their discord and they have mentioned they may make a Bolter Pistol for the Veteran class. Gotta give people that commander/commissar vibe right?
If you liked that you should watch the Star Craft 2 Wing of Liberty intro.
Which was the inspiration for this.
They can remove that armour - propably with simmilar ritual (or have it literally cut off from body by Apothecary tending to their wounds).

Death of Hope Trailer 1 and 2 and Part 1: Anarchy Reigns. Another fan animation by Mark Sparks / SparksArtifex. He is also currently working on his own fiction.
WH+ has some decent shows... "Hammer and Bolter" is really good
Many Space Marine armors and weapons are inherited from previous dead Space Marines of many generations.
Please check out the StarCraft II Wings of Liberty armouring of a Marine.
This is the kind of thing that we, men, see and say: "Hell yeah!".
every Spacemarine is a Lord every Bolter is a Holy weapon. Every spacemarine is made out of geneseed of the God Emperor himself. It is a Holy Ritual because to fight in the Emperors Will is an Honor
At some point we gotta do a Vox in the Void video
“THE FINAL BATTLE” - SIEGE OF TERRA
That’s one of my favorites. Among many. Vox in the Void usually kills it.
Which ones of Vox in the Void would you recommend the most for a beginner?
@@ti8ick I don't know about beginner friendly, but my favorite one would be "Geist ex Machina".
Its about a Chaos Knight(those big mechs) fighting Carcharodons(Space Shark marines).

HELREACH
Arbitorian is great ❤
The metal pins over the eyes are an indicator how long this space marine serve. each pin is for 50 years of service.
Theres good stuff on warhammer plus. Not a ton of content but whats there is good. Theres a couple shows that have over ten episodes. Its definitely worth a month or two of subscribing to watch them. Theres one episode of angels of death called kill command on youtube for free. Its a show made by richard boylan. Hes the one who made helsreach which is a superb fan film on youtube. His work on that was how he got hired by games workshop.
OMG thank you so much! It's not as long as Helsreach too, do you recommend it for a beginner?
How does he poop? He hold it in indefinitely, FOR THE EMPEROR!!
3 absolute jewels to watch:
"Death of Hope" by Mark Louis Spark (pure grimdark)
"Helsreach: The Movie" by RBoylan Film (over 3 hours of awesomness)
"Astartes Project" by Syama Pedersen (... want MORE)
Massive shoutout to the talent, since official stuff is sadly still all like made by Disney or worse.
YO! another person getting into the whole lore of 40K, I'll join you on this journey, i too just got into it
I recommend you check out Helsreach, it's a single person's fan animation based in the 40k universe
The armour is powered and the power source is in the "backpack" and once it is connected and powered it becomes like a second skin. The space marine doesn't feel the weight of the armour, the armour enhances his strength and mobility.
the holy armored athletic cup ritual takes 15 mins by itself
i recommend the helsreach series by Richard boylan. it takes audio from the audio books and do an animation for it. its multiple hours long. but can be broken into different chapters
With pride I wear this jockstrap so I may not be neutered on the battlefield.
Yeah. So. Ahem. So. Anyway. My 2000AD Dredd themed Arbites are black with golden jockstraps. They really do kind of look like the golden belt buckle he often has.
Imagine doing this entire ritual for all 1,000,000 space marines
Something important to detail:
The equipment of the space marine (including the armor) is already used.
So this ritual is for when a neophyte becomes a space marine. When Space Marines put armor on any other time will just be a regular fit.
*GLORY TO THE GOD EMPEROR, WE WALK IN HIS LIGHT!*
If you are wondering there isn’t a lot in Warhammer + at this time. But I do think Iron Within is worth a watch.
Hello Tibick, have a lovely day😛
This rly is a ritual in some Legions.
"They shall be my finest warriors!"
The Emperor of Mankind
Once you've watched some more and feel familiar with the 40k universe i recommend the Helsreach series, an audiobook adapted into a movie. The story is fantastic and it follows the best space marine chapter The Black Templars.
'I...carry a BFG! ...Run!'
And I thought I need long to get ready! 🤣 If you have to do this with everyone of your Battle Group, the fight is over when all are ready to roll out! 😉😇
Luitin09's Creation of a Space Marine video will give you a better idea of what a Space Marine actually is
I am playing Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr right now.
The best game of my entire life!
You Should see the Fan made video of a Raptor Space Marine being armored.
Edit: It's a lot more minimalist and more practical than the ritualistic of the ultramarines armoring.
Imagine id you need to arm and entire company for rapid deployment
Space marines can take their armour off if they want to but they are usually too naïve to understand why anyone would want to see them naked.
You should take a look at the armouring of a Grey Knight : The Lord Inquisitor - "Grey Knights" Teaser [UHD]
well, since you asked for reccomendations, i recommend that you watch 'if the emperor had text-to-speech device' and the 'space marine 2' trailer
There's no better armoring cinematic than Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty intro cinematic.
I don’t know if it’s possible but can you perhaps do helsreach. It’s like 2 hour video though.
Thank you for these reactions!
There are quite a few shows on warhammer+ worth watching. I personally loved The Iron Within over there.
After Brickys Vids as I've just caught the one you've watched you'll have to find a Leauge of Votann one Because well...Space Dwarfs nothing else to say!
And they need more love Lol
Nearly everything involving tech is full of rituals. Mainly to calm the machine spirit...the A.I. in nearly everything....yes, A.I. is forbidden, but if the intelligence is the machine spirit, it is ok ;)
the fun part is that it is ritual... because they have no idea how any of it works lol
And now just imagine he has an itch on his back 😅
Imagine dressing yourself like that every morning.
I like the way she say "Okay"
tbh this is no different to me getting ready for my morning, except its a my office "suit" 😆

Looks like a normal shopping day with girls, sit around and wait for their dressing.
It's a super cool cinematic but makes me wonder what they do when they get attacked in space. Hold on brother give me 5 mins to get my armor on
Belisarius Cawl und ein neuer Space Marine. Primares Space Marines für die Ultra Marines.
Actually they can still function if the power pack isn’t working it just act like armor
When possible, check out " True Size of a Space Marine Chapter" Parts 1 and 2 by Invicta. Also If you want to see a full tv show, I recommend going to Warhammer+ and checking out "Angels of Death"
very cool makeup job you did
Fans of bolter and the world of eternal love just need to watch a series of videos from Sodaz Warhammer and/or a film adaptation of the book HELSREACH (also a fan work). Quality, plot, action, pain, tears.
I can't wait for Henry Cavils live action 40k verse. I hope Space Marines are treated with the same imposing deference shown in this video, utterly badass haha. If its done right, holy smoke hahaha xD
Oh, another Space Marine that get dressed up :D
This time its Warhammer and not Starcraft and it has a religios undertone.
Oh, I would leave the Stacraft II cinematics as recommendation here.
Another universe and another fun rabbit hole :)
Now do that 1,000,000 times over 😂😂😂❤❤
