Suzuki Gsxr600 mid pipe install(In this video i DECAT my 2015 Suzuki Gsxr 600 M4 exhaust system and provide exhaust clips towards the end of the video! I ran into an issue with the mid pipe slipping on the headers. The clamp that was provided with the mid pipe simply was NOT strong enough to bend the mid pipe to get it to fit correctly. So what i did was I went and bought a heavy duty clamp that was able to bend the pipe to give it a nice fit( I BENT THE PIPE OFF OF THE BIKE BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO CRANK IT DOWN ON THE HEADERS AND BREAK ANYTHING THEN ONCE I HAD THE PIPE TO MY LIKING I FIT IT ON THE HEADERS AND MADE MY FINAL ADJUSTMENTS...to help with any exhaust leaks I used high temperature gasket maker which seems to work well. Yes, you can bend the pipe on the bike just be careful to NOT bend the shape of the pipe you are slipping the mid pipe onto. Ya I definitely should have put in a before and after of the exhaust. I made a mistake there but I’m onto to the next one! I’m happy with the way it sounds right now it’s really loud.

did the same to my 18, 600! Had to put the baffler back way too loud for my liking. Had to get the ECU flashed Moore Mafia) and that helped a ton!
I have a 2018 600 gsxr with a m4 exhaust. I've been wanting to do a cat delete but don't wanna go through the hassle of sending in the ecu what's the downside of not flashing it?

You’re supposed to cut on the other side of the weld that way there’s more pipe for mid pipe to clamp onto . Plus with the style of mid you bought the weld would have made it tighter. The weld is supposed to be grinded down after until the pipe slips one

To find the exhuast leak pin point spot use a rag to cover and choke the endogenous the exhyasdt back pressure you'll hear the same as noise you get from an air gun on a compressor

Awesome! I’m glad your finding value out of the videos! Yes after u decat the bike it needs to be tuned. I just went with an Ecu flash and that seems to work well. Hope that helps you out!

I'm about to delete my cat on my 2009 suzuki GSXR-600 and run a mid to an m4 exhaust I think, but before I pull the trigger I want to try and ask a few people if just flashing thier ecu has had success or not. BUT I just got my hands on a mid pipe and im cutting my cat this weekend and sending my ECU to moore mafia. Ive heard countless and countless of good things from moore mafie especially for GSXRs. Ive also recently talked to chris and he helped with some questions i had and he seemed like a really good dude. Ill update you if i remember but I say go for it !!!

sounds 100x times better. I have loud exhaust on my gixxer too and everyday i have to push my bike far from my neighbourhood untill i can start the bike so i didn't wake up my neighbours because i go to work very early in the morning
Thanks! I love the way it sounds it’s definitely really loud but that’s what I wanted. I’m going to remove the set valve before I get the ECU flashed, so it should be even louder. Haha ya I definitely can’t start this thing early in the morning or late at night anymore.

Yeah, I am getting the same issue and I only have just the GP M4 exhaust and no midpipe yet.

Hey bro! Love your vids my dude. So I just ordered and installed the M4 GP slip on off Amazon that you linked in this video. Noob question but does that exhaust already come with the baffle installed? Do I need to perform a tune with the baffle out?

From what I understand, if you're doing a slip-on only, you can typically live without a tune unless you want to optimize the performance.
As for the baffle, you just need to decide if you're going to run a baffle or not prior to a tune. I just watched a Moore Mafia video where he showed why you have to specify whether you have a baffle or not using a Kawasaki ZX-14. Your bike would need to be tuned a bit different because the baffle is still a bit restrictive.

A year late to this video but I recently purchased a 2023 gsxr600 & bought the m4 gp slip on & man does it sound good. I was wondering if you knew by any chance if this mid pipe would work for mine ?!
Not sure if you found out yet, but at MJS Performance, the midpipe shown is for '11-'23 and possibly '24, so it should work. 🤙🏼

No air leaks, and yes it’s a really good fit. I got it from a local hardware store, but it’s probably not necessary. Either by a heavy duty clamp and that will do the trip or bend it and ride it a few times and then it should seal from the heat after a few rides.

Yeah, but it’s a tight fit trying to get the slip on onto the mid pipe, but it still fits and is in the same spot.

Ya it should work. I’m able to use the stock slip on with this mid pipe. I’d double check the measurements, but it will work.

Yes, I got it flashed. You’re going to need a flash after u delete the cat because removing the cat is going to lean it out, so u need ur air/fuel ratio adjusted. You’re going to need a after market air filter as well

I have 2022 gsxr750
As soon as I saw this video I wanted to do a cat-delete with the m4 go slip-on… BUT I’ve heard from Numerous people including a specialist with sport bikes that with the 750 doing a cat delete will cause a major drag in the lower RPMs… so is there a way to fix that or should I just no do the cat delete like they said and just chill with the slip on by itself.
That’s a great question! When u remove the cat it changes the air flow of the exhaust system, and ur going to need to add fuel to the air/fuel mix, so all you need to do is tune the bike and it will run better than it ever has. So no it doesn’t matter you just have to tune it and buy an after market air filter and ur good to go

I got it off eBay for like $50 bucks and I’m just getting the Ecu flashed so it will be $200..best option for tuning would be to get a custom tune but that costs like $700 so I’m just gonna get the flash.

How did you get the slip on to come off easily
Off of the mid pipe or the cat? It slipped right off of the cat easily, but to get it on and off of the mid pipe was actually pretty difficult.

it would have been tight if u cut on the other side of the weld as intended
I cut it in the correct spot. If u cut it on the other side of the weld it won’t slip on
@@SpunkyBoyy this midpipe was extra chinese, the weld would have filled the gap. u needed extra girth for yours

Those are the cables from the exhaust servo motor. It opens and closes the exhaust set valve. If you’re going to be removing the cat and tuning the bike, you definitely should remove them If you want the bike to run better. I explain everything you need to know in this video below 👇

@@SpunkyBoyy thanks for the video! I think I have the same pipe as I have the same problem. Besides the clamp to get it tighter did you end up using any of the sealer or gaskets? Just trying to get it as best as possible. Please offer some feedback for best results.
@@donfradlis2979 ya I did use some high temp gasket maker to help seal it. It seems to be working fine. I usually just check it every now and then to see and I don’t feel any air seeping out. Just bend it with a heavy duty exhaust clamp and either use that one or use the one they gave you after u get a tight fit and put some gasket maker around it and that should do the trick.
