The Southern Baptist Convention has fallen prey to the promotion of heretics like Rick Warren, Steven Furtick and Beth Moore, as well as leftist political agendas. In a word; apostasy.
For years this respected and largest protestant denomination in America has been almost synonymous with orthodoxy and conservatism. The SBC is a shell of its former self and has now become an arena for apostates and false teachers to thrive in.

My family left the SBC 10 months ago. Being in our 50's it was very hard leaving brothers and sisters we've worshiped with and shared fellowship with for many years. The reasons are because of everything you just shared. The Jezebel spirit has taken hold. As a S.B. we stood on the word of God. The church no longer knows what that is. Thank you, I can now share this with others in a way that is factual, old people tend to be set in there ways and loyal.thank you God Bless you and your ministry, and please pray for us Christian's who still stand on the word of God and his truths.

I grew up in a small Southern Baptist church. I didn’t go to be entertained or to be given a motivational lecture. I went to worship God and to grow. It really saddens me to see this apostasy that’s been building up over many years in the church. I finally found a church home after a lot of searching. God is good.
That’s so awesome to hear sister beckyrr1 .. god is with you my sister. He works us in ways if we let the Holy Spirit fully come into our lives. That’s why he talks to us about discernment. That’s why he tells us in the end days there will be an influx of false prophets and fake gods. We are Gods children. I’m barely learning and hope the Holy Spirit guides me to a great church. You are wrong about that. This is the true full fruit of Calvin and Luther's doctrines. We are finally seeing the real end product. The biblical Gospel of Jesus directly opposes Calvin and Luther, and to no surprise, these false teachers.

As for why he'd do this, he tells people what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear in order to increase his viewership and book sales. Search "Mike Winger Joel Osteen" for a good podcast on this subject.

Amen! My husband and I got saved and delivered OUT of Catholicism at different times. Myself first and my husband after! It’s IMPOSSIBLE to be saved and remain catholic.
There is sexual abuse in there. I am in music ministry 3 THREE yes THREE married music ministers touched me inappropriately. With NO conviction. one older SBC married preacher messaging me all the time. I left facebook. I needed help once and messaged the deacon and pastor, they did not even acknowledge my message. Jesus is the ONLY one who helped me by His Spirit, I left and never went back but I have a relationship with Christ. I am hoping for a prayer partner. I know God will in His time. Jesus is of no denomination. Church is NOT a building. It is a living body with Jesus as the head. Jesus is building His church. Word says so.

The arrogance and apathy caused me to stop searching for the perfect church (building/denomination) - now i study for myself, and learn and grow through studies online. I am so sorry for these wolves in the so-called "churches" They are businesses, so we should not be surprised at the covetousness, greed, and lust that runs to and fro within their walls. Many of us have come out. I was a pastor 14 years and have been a missionary since 2005 to Poland and Ukraine. I have never taken a penny for ministry. I do not serve anyone but the LORD God through our Lord Jesus Christ. When we take the Bible seriously and start doing what it says literally, we find peace and the Holy Spirit fills our life! It said in the bible there would be a great Apostasy before Christ returns this I believe is part of the great apostasy.
If we are not witnessing "THE" great apostasy then we are surely witnessing "A" great apostasy.

I live in Australia and was trying to find a church. One of the ones I went to seemed nice until I talked to the Pastor's wife and she said her husband wouldn't be preaching because he was down south at the Hillsong conference. Need I say more? Now I have my churches online. At least they preach the true Gospel.

I couldn't agree more about IHOP. A few years ago, I confronted them in person about their false doctrine and contemplative practices. They just stood there and looked at me like I descended from another planet. I just hope some of them will think about what i said.
I still love their harvest grain and nut pancakes, though.
I went to one in Kansas City and told them I wanted the Rooty Tooty Fresh-n-Fruity and a bunch of young people surrounded me speaking in some unintelligible gibberish.
They were not made for religious purposes. IHOP is supposed to be a resteraunt not a church. XDDDD

@@ServusChristi God wants us to be of the same mind, same spirit, same body, working together with each other and lifting each other up in prayer, minding the things of God and his Son Jesus Christ. But above all, to love each other as Christ has loved us. Recently, I have had a renewed revelation of his love and as I meet others and give them God's love, their response has been as if I was just born again all over again! I am enjoying my walk with God and looking to please him in any which way I can in the holy Spirit. Praying for all of the children of God and your work that it may bring forth increase in the kingdom of God!

Amen, Joshua! It's refreshing to have someone who follows the teachings of Scripture and exposes evil. As true followers of Christ are to do. I want truth to be given to me. (I want to learn only truth so I may share only truth). Pastors are to protect the flock whom have been entrusted to them by God.
Of course, the people want their ears tickled much of the time.... but there are those who are hungry for God and get in these churches and are led down a horrible path.

Excellent video. I don't go to church anymore. All of them are intertwined in one way or another. I have and am still learning more about YHWH and YESHUA than I ever did in my entire life by watching teachings on RUclips. I am 60 years old.

Upon moving from Oregon to Arkansas several years ago, we were very excited to be amongst the Bible Belt family. Raised Southern Baptist, we were really excited to get involved in a Southern Baptist church. Our first stop, Cross Church, Rogers, AR. Well, let me just say this, I thought we were walking into a Airport not a church. After a service, I could not be swayed to return. I did relent and go to his Christmas Eve service. We never returned. This experience caused me to start to look at what exactly was going on with SB, and the SBC. We kicked the dust from our feet. I also used to follow Beth Moore. So thankful for Spiritual Discernment, I no longer are walking with wolves. I just came upon your station today, and I am refreshed a new, Thank You! Finally someone who is willing to speak truth.

I grew up SBC in the 50/s and 60's I don't recognize what I'm seeing. I guess they forgot about the Death Burial and Resurrection and what that means? Convention of Laodicea, and the key here is ODD?

No he is not transubstantiated. He doesn't come back as bread and wine. Scripture in its context says it. God doesn't contradict himself. He wouldn't be God.
The history of the Catholic Church of inquisitions, persecuted and murdered pagans after Constantine, Hitler ordering nazi soldiers not to come into the Vatican and the Pope saying nothing about nazi atrocities and the modern child abuse is an indictment alone. More being exposed every month.

Churches that you to stick strickly to bible doctrine are not anymore. We use to be in a large denomination that considered themselves to be holiness. We were in it for a long time. The leadership got to focused on money and numbers. Started promoting new age teachers. Many are into word faith. Thats Ken Copeland teaching. Ive heard from others the same thing. Joseph Smith has nothing to do with it. We are just in the last days of the falling away from the true faith, like Jesus taught. I will not support or join any denomination whose leaders are promoting false teaching or teachers. You better know the bible well. Ive been a christian 40 yrs. and Im very literate in the bible. All I can tell you is what Im seeing with my own eyes. And I dont watch anyone on tv. Pretty much all of them are teaching false. Many like to hear Jimmy Swaggart. But hes off on some things too. Just get in the word and let the Holy Spirit teach you. Thats what I do. But there are about 3 or 4 I like on utube. I like Servus Christi, James Prauch, Rick Wiles, Jan Markell, and preachers involved in Jan Markells ministry. Just know the bible so you arent decieved. There is so much false out there. But a remnant of true believers. Joseph Smith said denominations were corrupt because they didnt believe his false teaching. But Im saying it because they are going away from biblical teaching.

Regarding Catholics getting saved and then leaving the Catholic church, John 10:27 says, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." All those who get truly saved to become the Lord's sheep will follow Christ, and follow Him right out of the Catholic church. Those who remain are in rebellion and will be led astray as a blind man being led by another blind man.

The SBC did in fact organize in 1845. The reason: at that time, the primary organization for churches working together was the Philadelphia Baptist Association. It hosted an annual convention with attendees being "messengers" elected by local churches. The Philadelphia Association adopted a policy of not seating messengers from churches whose members had slaves. The southern churches were insulted by this action and pulled out of the Philadelphia Association, forming the Southern Baptist Convention. Of course, the public whitewashing was the southern churches' disagreement over "missions" or mission activity. Southerners essentially stated that the Philadelphia Association was lax in supporting mission work. Today one can still see the racist attitudes in certain churches in the south. Sad, but true.

It is not the situation Elijah thought had happened in his time either. God has raised up many of us to preach the Gospel Jesus preached and to stand against these priests of Baal (Calvin & Luther). I am not excluding the Catholic church, but that is not our problem in America. The fruits of Luther and Calvin's erroneous gospels finally bearing forth on the trees is our problem. It is in opposition to what Jesus taught, but in opposition in a different way than the Catholic church's opposition to Jesus' Gospel.

In the Summer of 1991, I got invited to hear Greg Laurie preach the Gospel at the Monday evening Bible study at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. After a few more Monday evening Bible studies and attending the Harvest Crusade at Anaheim Stadium, I finally was broken, and surrendered my life to the Lord. Bible studies at Calvary were solid while Pastor Chuck was alive. We had Dr. Henry Morris & Dr. Duane Gish from ICR, Dr. A.E. Wilder-Smith, Dave Hunt, Tim La Haye, Chuck Missler, Lambert Dolphin, Roger Oakland, Ron Rhodes frequently give Bible studies. Chuck and his brother Paul held CC pastors accountable, whether they were on staff at CCCM or at the pastors conferences. He commissioned Oden Fong to be the pastor's Pastor keeping CC and affiliates in check making sure they stayed on course, staying true to the Scriptures. Chuck, Paul, Dave Hunt and Roger Oakland continuously warned the congregation and the churches about Rick Warren and his unbiblical ecumenical emergent ideology and his devotion to atheist and (his personal mentor) Peter Drucker, whom Rick said was the most influential person in his life. Paul Smith wrote a book, New Evangelicalism: The New World Order, which upset several prominent pastors, as well as some Calvary Chapel pastors. Eventually, Brian Brodersen had a secret meeting with those pastors, one who happened to be on the church board, Pastor David Rosales of CC Chino Valley. Brian, David, Roger Wing and another board member decided to fire Paul Smith from the board of directors. This infuriated Chuck. Because of such nonsense, Rob Yardley (who was also on the Berean Call, and Understanding The Times boards) immediately resigned from the CCCM board. Meanwhile, Brian was discrete about his motives. But, the day after Chuck passed away, Brian revealed on KWVE radio that, "Chuck really didn't like me, we would drive for hours in silence". Chuck and Kay correctly discerned a lack of character in their son-in law. On one occasion while Chuck was visiting with his daughter and grandchildren, Brian "accidentally" ran the lawnmower alongside the entire length of Chuck's car, scratching it down to the metal. "I was scared, I didn't even tell Cheryl about it. Chuck was tormented for months, thinking 'what kind of evil is out to get me?' Cheryl finally encouraged me to tell him the truth. Those who were taught under Pastor Chuck attend these excellent non-compromising fellowships.

I’ve been going to an awesome baptist church, but have not become a member. At a study the other night our pastor looked very down hearted, and he said it had to do with the direction of the SBC, which the church is a part of. We are nothing like Word of Faith or any of these....
I’m still glad I watched this before confirming a membership. I don’t want to have documented ties to any of these false teachers.
And also, I think it’s interesting that the SBC is based out of Nashville. I recently went to Nashville and Babylon came to mind immediately.

I'm in a sbc church that started out very small and has become a mega church. I rationalize that I stay because it is a good place for my grandchildren that I bring every Sunday. The old ladies have sucked me in, I know I gotta get out of there, please pray for me, I have always felt like an outcast there who does not belong. When I was in an SBC church in the early 2000s, the adult Sunday school curriculum was Purpose Driven Life. I didn't know better at the time. A lot of SBC churches are also modeled after The Purpose Driven Church. They try to run a church like it's a business & getting church members becomes their motivation. It matters less and less how they make that happen.
If the Bible shouts about materialism we need to discuss some of these salaries.

I was raised a Baptist, and at 60 years old, I left the church...I am a man of faith in Jesus Christ, and his pure inspired word of God, not interpreted, but literal.....people defend their religion as they would their favorite football team. I learned to Rightly Divide the word of truth, without any religion....teaching the simple gospel of Jesus Christ......all religions believe they are the only ones right.....they are the traditions of men, and most, false teachers....and assumptions......Rightly Dividing teaches, who is speaking in the scripture, who is being spoken to, and in full length context....through dividing......2 Timothy 2:15.....once learned, you can shoot down nearly all religions, that divide people, and most dont understand the bible, and will go to hell, because most cant even tell you what the real gospel is....The Gospel, as declared by Apostle Paul, is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4....it even says, its the Gospel! And the sinners prayer is heresy....not even in the bible! You dont ask permission for Jesus to come into your heart.....you come by faith, Believing the Gospel......We are saved by Grace through Faith, not asking permission! Osteen has a special place in hell.....wont be laughing then!

It's impeccable work Josh, truly well done. I can't say that I share in the same fanfare of most of the commenters. I'm saddened at the current state of Bible Christendom, and I'm quickly attaining a state where I can no longer be shocked at all. Really good stuff here! In the last two years that I've been on my personal 'horrible, terrible, false-prophet/teacher' dig -- I have learned ONE THING.... TRUST GOD and HIS WORD ALONE. Seek not to follow man. Stop looking for someone to follow. JESUS ONLY. God help us. We might be closer to our 'home church' days than we even realize in America. . . especially in the rural areas where there aren't a lot of places to worship.

One thing that scares me about many evangelical leaders and many in the church is the way they bow down totally without reservations to a person as though he speaks with infallibility and who has said on multiple occasions that he has not asked God to forgive him and does not need to ask for forgiveness. That is the height of hersey.

A Baptist Church I was a member of ran into several Crisis's. We had a Pastor who was very Biblical.On one sermon, he rebuked the congregation for having 5 couples getting divorced. He went on with his rebuke that he, as the Pastor should be the first to know about a couples marriage problem, not the last. That before seeking divorce, they should seek counseling within the Church. Announcing you are getting a divorce should not be the Church's first indication of trouble in the marriage. One woman was seeking her 6th marriage. This Pastor initially refused to perform the wedding. The congregation pressured him to do it. He reneged on the following condition: Divorce was not an option! If there is trouble seek guidance within the Church. Less than a year later, she filed for divorce declaring "I simply don't love him anymore and you can't stop me!" The Pastor then stripped her of all Church authority and position. The Congregation was outraged. They ended up running this Pastor off on trumped up charges of "Emotional adultery". It turned out the woman he was counseling was the wife of an associate Pastor who later was caught with child porn. My final straw came following 911. The Church went into "Full Patriotic gospel of bombs and bullets mode" When I was recalled to active duty, the Church members and the new Pastor gave their blessing "Kill an evil Muslim for me!" Upon returning from my activation, we had an Air Force Officer as a guest speaker declaring how God has bless this nation with the most powerful military in human history and will judge this nation if we do not use it to liberate the world into Democracy. This is where I got up, left the Church, and never returned.

I remember we used to go door to door,and be prepared with evangelism and gospel tracts this was something that was
expected of us as Christians. And guess what? we were happy to do it, now its not always easy for everyone,but we wanted to be faithful and do what Jesus commanded us to do. I have more Mormons and watchtowers come to my door, that I have witnessed to. But not one Christian in 25 years has come to my door to share the gospel. These false religions are organized.
They have all their people in their neighborhoods, going and evangelizing to their own neighbors. This IS WHAT Christians used to do. I am sure there are some that do. But it is NOT the norm anymore....
The church is growing rapidly in China and Africa. But so is persecution. If we desire revival in the US we first need a re bible; going back to sound doctrine. But because of all the false teachers, false teaching, and deceived Christians believing lies, we also should expect and prepare for persecution as well.
Dear friend the door to door preaching is left to the JW at my place (Germany). Over here, nobody would listen anyway. We're in Revelation 22:11 mode already for years.

Great stuff. Appreciate your research in exposing the apostate leaders. The promised "strong delusion" is doing its work in purging the false Christians from God's Church. The Lord told Moses that " Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of MY book." These Ahab's and Jezebel's are paving the way for the Anti-Christ and his false church. Followers of these deceivers are holding on to the lie of "once saved always saved" to save them from all the error they walk in.
Unfortunately, the genuine believers will be cast outside the buildings of worship and will be seen as the most despised haters of mankind and a hater of God. It is much like the Jewish believers in James. The message in this culture for the past ten years is that love equates with acceptance and approval and hate is equated with not accepting or not giving approval to sinful attitudes and behaviors. House churches will grow by proxy because of the socio-politico movement transforming the culture of the false church.
Hey Josh great point on the Catholicism issue I was saved for about 2 years and desired to attend Church and went to what I grew up in, the Roman Church however after just 6 months the Lord opened my eyes to some things I began a full on investigation of the origins of the Catholic church and realized it was a counterfeit church. So you are right on point God will not allow His children to remain in a false system where they could never grow and serve Him while participating in a Paganistic system of worship.
David Jeremiah loves that Rick Warren crap. When Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life first book came out David Jeremiah loved it and tried to implement it at his Church. I think it died out - no interest. I got pressured at a Southern Baptist Church from some deacon type that wanted me to read it and he got angry at me when I told him I don't need it. He got angry again. If he had half that energy to try to get me to read the Bible that might mean something. I left that Southern Baptist Church that same day.
I grew up in Texas and worshiped in a “1st Baptist Church” which was a member of the SBC. I left Texas to join the Army and never went back. I heard the SBC split some years later over women pastors and homosexuality, but I thought the more conservative believers stayed under the SBC banner. I no longer attend a Baptist church, and am saddened at the influence of this apostasy. I now claim no “qualifier” to my faith in Christ, but seek only Him and knowledge of his word. Thanks for adding some clarity to what has happened to the denomination under which I found Christ, and was saved. It is heartbreaking for me, but something I needed to understand.

I have to say 380 sexual abuse allegations in 20 years does not compare to one catholic dioceses, and celibacy is not an excuse. That being said , it should be called out anywhere it is found, and those guilty prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Cover ups or minimizing cannot be tolerated.
