@@catkit6247 thanks for the reply, appreciated it! By the way, is it possible if we use Mr Hobby color (lacquer based paint), but mixed with leveling thinner (the one ppl use for brushing, as it make the paint dry a little bit slower), is it possible by using this method?
@@ultrawan88v2 yes It is possible, but a bit harder since you have to dilute the paint just enough, if too much it would dissolve solve the layer of paint underneath. For this, try using a plastic spoon for testing and don’t use leveling thinner for it dries slower.
Finally! A proper tutorial for this technique! Thank you! Just one question: which side of the sponge do you use? I have some, and I noticed they have a porous side and a smooth side.
Either side is good, but some sponge has some kind of overly smoothed out / dull layer that can push the paint around so if you have it, just cut off a little bit of the surface and it will be fine.
Just started painting my kits. I’ll definitely be taking this approach on! Thank you for this!
Thanks for the guide, for me some colours have trouble getting a nice smooth coat, maybe this technique will help.
This is a great idea...I purchased some today...very inexpensive...great for eliminating brush strokes !!!thanks for the idea!!!
think it's more convenient to hold piece of sponge with self-clamping tweezers
Can you use Gundam marker (lacquer based) for this?
We cannot use gundam marker for this because that paint tends to mess up the last layer under it so you cannot not dab many times

How well would this work with enamel paints?
Seen people did that but the paint would melt itself in ghe next layer.
Can I use a Gundam marker paint and sponge??
You can but marker paint tends to mess up ì painted over itself so you will encounter spots not catching paint
That’s an interesting approach ;D
This technique is called stippling :)
May i know, whats paper that you using as color plate ya? Oil paper?
The paper is baking paper. You can get at baking stores.
What is that liquid in the white cup?
It is just water
Thx for the jumpscare :D
Anyway thx for the guide..
Appreciate it 👍
