I won't say he is the hardest but his mechanics and fundamentals is very different and opposite of the usual Tekken character that he becomes somewhat "unfair". It's like playing against someone using a different rule than you follow.

I really don't understand Akuma complainers. I get it. He can do shit no one else can. Guess what, other characters can do shit that he can't. Every Akuma battle goes the same. They spend the whole match struggling to get anything going, finally get something, and IF they have the resources they can come back. TMM acts like playing Akuma is an easy win button. If that was true, how come he got the better of this Akuma. The reality is that as broken as some of his stuff might seem in theory, in practice, they never work out to be as bad as people claim.
Akuma's meterless game is as good as anyone, he can launch punish at 14 frames( most get it at 15) he can ws launch at 15. He essentially has a hell sweep(d4 into tutso, into shurioken). He has a safe mid launcher at 16 frames, a very fast high crushing decent damage low. And more. Other characters would beg for such tools. The only thing limiting him is execution, and slightly lack luster combo damage without meter.

Go watch any footage of Akuma being used. Show me where he's dominating without meter. He has the focus attack, power crush, unblockable STANDING launcher which can be canceled at any point including after committing to it which makes it a great keep out as well as a magnificent combo feeler. He has mishima's while standing 4,4 for a solid ws 13 frame punisher. his regular jump has a plus on block mid launcher. his standing 13 frame punish forces crouch and is plus 7 on hit Neutral on block ff4, comes out at 20 frames he has a decent counter hit game from standing with a tracking 17 high ch launcher, and a homing 23 frame, his while standing on the other hand has a 13 mid ch launch for some reason. Sum them up with the previous comment and tell me what else exactly do you want? How about Marduk's tackle, giant swing would be nice too, right? And i am pretty sure there is more to it as well.

Does he just not know how to play and use all these great tools you keep mentioning or could it be that playing a character effectively comes down to more than just a random listing of moves without any context of how they are used, what benefits come from landing them, what risks are associated with using them, and what strategies are available for employing them. Akuma haters have been whining since before the game was on consoles, and sure the small number of Akuma players that can actually use him at his potential are tough to deal with, but again, that's a small number. If his tools without meter and execution were so easy to use and dominate with, the game would be flooded with Akuma players, but anyone who's played online for any amount of time knows that's not true.
