Yeah it was Neo and it was his spine, was a disc extrusion, two of his vertebrae compressed one of his discs causing it to 'explode' and some disc fluid got into the spinal cord, causes paralysis in many dogs but apparently he is recovering well. He was taken to Willows -the veterinary referral centre in Birmingham with some of the countries top neurological vets there. Highly doubt he'll be returning to the sport though, shouldn't with that kind of injury as then causes more pressure on the rest of the spine. Bless him though, hop he gets better soon! These sports are not without their dangers!
I had two dogs paralyzed, had to be put down, due to broken spines / discs (so to speak), and there was no dog sport involved. Life is not without its dangers, alas. At least Neo and his friends live life to its full, never saw dogs so full of enjoyment.
I hope the second dog for the wizards was alright. Not to encouraging when they get carried from the field. But I'm sure he'll receive the best of care.
The turn wall seems to be different than those used today. Many dogs smashing their faces, losing the ball, getting turned wrong. Few clear runs and one dog down. Horrible!
That lab at around 19-20 mins(you'll see which one I mean) is very fat. Not only for the sport... in general. His owner should help him lose weight. I hate to see fat dogs... This is not how labs should be... sorry.
MagmaSedusa he’s not really that fat labs aren’t very fit dogs in general I had a lab that looked to be about the same weight and he had no health problems and lived for 15 years
@@mandywatson2084 I have a 2 year old lab who's a gun dog and she is the correct weight (about 25kg)and has the body of a whippet, labs are absolutely fit dogs if they eat the right amount and exercised enough. The yellow lab does look fat, and clearly isn't a healthy weight.
It was awesome to see our old friends. Great memories to last a lifetime. Seattle Fly dogs rule!
I love how they literally have to hold the dogs because of their excitement, they seem so thrilled to run!
Neo was the name of the dog who got injured, right? Exactly what did he hurt? Our hearts go out to him and his family for a quick recovery!
