Not always a literal translation, but it gets the idea across just fine. A LOT of Swedish cultural references though, that might need some explaining. I'll try, but I might not have caught them all: 1) The four candles at the intro is the Advent Candles. Every Sunday in December you light one of the candles in order, until all 4 are lit on the 4th Sunday, which is the last before Christmas Eve. 2) The pre-chorus is "God Jul God Jul" x4, which means Merry Christmas Merry Christmas in Swedish. 3) The little people dressed in red are Nissar, sort of like Santa's Elfs, but a little different, more like garden gnomes, but with a Christmas theme. 4) Sweden at the time were very socialistic, but with a government that put red tape everywhere, keeping the poor poorer, hence "government officials trampling over me, won't heed my cries". 5) The pig representing the Alter Ego is the traditional Christmas Ham. 6) Donald Duck jumping out of the TV and running his fingers in a mocking motion over his "lips" references the Disney special From All Of Us To All Of You, which plays every year on Swedish television, Christmas Eve, 3PM sharp, where Donald makes the same gesture in a clip about him trying to get a photo of a woodpecker. 7) "His ass is bare" is the Swedish rough equivalent of "Hand in the cookie jar", when someone is caught doing something they shouldn't. 8) Santa's hat burning is another reference to the Disney special. 9) During the "rock segment", the lyrics are vastly different from the Swedish version, due to a pun with the fish-faced singer. A sucker, or someone hiring prostitutes, is in Sweden called a "Cod", but the word also have other meanings. And of course, it's also the fish Cod, hence the visual pun. 10) "All is well at midnight, it's peaceful and quiet" is part of a very popular classic Swedish carol. 11) Traditionally, children dance around the Christmas tree before Santa arrives, but due to the earlier mentioned Disney special, nowadays they sit in front of the TV. This song was written not long after the transition between the two traditions, leaving the singer "dancing alone around the Christmas tree". 12) In the outro we see another version of a Nisse, which is called a Tomte. In Sweden, the word for Santa Claus is also Tomte and pictures of both are traditionally used as Christmas decorations. 13) The Tomte is holding a wooden spoon, referencing the Swedish tradition of leaving rice pudding for the Tomte on the night before Christmas Eve.
