@@ladislavrimoci7697 That's true, at least for outsiders. Musicians and metalheads tend to respect them because they know how demanding this music is, but the general public doesn't because they don't understand the nuance in this kind of music. All they hear is low end noise.

Mom would laugh when I would play death metal sometimes. She would imitate the vocals and get me rolling. She was born in 1945 and I would hear her music too...Roy Orbison, The Eagles, Helen Redding, etc... She did like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and especially Pink Floyd. My pastor mentioned these things at her funeral and had everybody laughing. Her and I both were big music lovers and knew each other's era.

It's funny how music can unlock certain memories in our minds, whether or not we even realize it. Music is a universal language, and the fact that you were able to share it with your mom is beautiful. Having these memories helps to breathe a little easier. I hope that her memory will continue to live on for you in all of the music that you hear

The fact this song is only 3:35 is insane. Dying Fetus always keeps the riffs interesting and different so you feel like the enjoyment of the song is neverending. I think I've listened to this song at least 50 times in the last week.
Very few bands with this kind of consistency. Goddamn Dying Fetus always BRINGS IT HEAVY!
I was just thinking “many (thrash & death) bands who re-use the same formula and are praised for their consistency”, but they sound stale imo (Slayer, Overkill, Obituary, Deicide, etc).
But Dying Fetus’ consistent use of tempo changes and actual groove, unlike most death metal, just ensures a tasty enough offering every time!
@@Metalton95 That's definitely the trick. You gotta change it up and bring up new unexpected here and there to keep it fresh but also not change so much that your fans don't recognize your style anymore. It's a balance tough to achieve. We try to do it with our band too and it's definitely tough. You gotta have a clear picture of what you want and keep heading in that direction.

I used to see these guys at local shows. Mostly playing with hardcore bands. Those shows were such a blast. It's awesome they've achieved so much success.

it sound the same like hundreds of modern bands out there.. just fast and technical.. not more else. nothin special to me.
