- I’ve just finished my Factory Five Gen 3 Coupe with a 5 liter Coyote V8, Tremec 5 Speed, Independent rear suspension, Koni Adjustable Shocks, Leather interior, Power Steering Wilwood Brakes, 18” Wheels with Toyo Tires, A/C and heat, Adjustable Seats, Wipers, gel cell battery, rear charging ports and Much More! 2 1/2 year, one man build.

Thanks! I spent 2 1/2 years on it. The bodies from Factory Five are rough to say the least. Nothing fits. The doors and front clam are about 2 inches too big. You have to fit everything yourself and the parting lines in the mold are about 1 inch high. The bodywork and paint took a year! As far as watching it go... yes very hard. But I already had my superlite kit in the garage. So that made it easier. I’m really impressed with the ultima kit. It’s much more comprehensive than the superlite. It reminds me very much of the Daytona kit.
As amazing as the Daytona was... I found the seating a little cramped and it was too loud. There’s no way to put a muffler or catalytic converter,: i think I wanted something a little more refined.
I’m really enjoying your build! Great job on your lighting and editing! I wish I could do that with my superlite build!
@@mastersteve63 How many hours would you say it took to get this refined of an example? Seems like a multi year build is more like 1 or 2 days a week average working on it.

I just had my hip replaced, so getting in the car was a monumental triumph. So I wasn’t able to do a continuous shot if I got in to start it. Believe me, with headers and side pipes and zero mufflers, it was like thunder!

Very nice FFR Daytona Coupe. What are the blue and white color choices? They look great, and great together.
The blue is from Eastwood, it’s California coastal blue. The White is just a bright white. Thanks for the positive comments. The car came out great and it sold in a week.
I like the wheels. I’m running 15” true Halibrand pin drives and thinking of going with the FFR 18” wheels like yours.
Honestly, those wheels were beautiful. The quality was amazing.

I can’t decide this or the Cobra?
The cobra is amazing and a great first build. It’s definitely fun to drive since it doesn’t have a roof. The Daytona is gorgeous and a little better for east coast people like me. You never know about the weather up here. Best solution is one of each!

Funny your attention to detail is like mine but our reasons are opposite. On my own things I am obsessed. need to back off a little working on other people's stuff or I would never get anything done. Yet your result is something I would be proud of. Also if my plan was to sell, which I could never do, I'd make the numbers like the decals vinal so the buyer has the choice. makes your options more abundant, more for your hard work

Looks amazing! My son and I are thinking of building one like yours for our first build and sell. Your comments about the fitment have me worried. Any advice for someone wanting to take on this project?
Thank you. I chose to do everything. That required A LOT of tools and many skill sets. Building a driveable car, not that hard. Building a beautiful car that looks like it was professionally built or factory quality is very hard. I put in triple the time studying to building. I would recommend a cobra over the coupe for the first car. Fit and finish makes the car and that requires lots of finesse. I was a home builder for many years, so I went into it with experience with finishing details experience. The factory five kit is excellent and their support and manual is excellent too. My advice is be prepared to spend a lot of time in garage and commit to the completion of the project. It can be overwhelming at times. The car is built one bolt/screw/rivet at a time. Get on a schedule and stay on a schedule. Good luck!

Thank You! It was a complete kit. I customized the interior. I also did the bodywork and paint myself. Actually, it was a one man build from beginning to end. Factory five was awesome to work with.

@@nick9399 I sold it right away. I started an SLC Superlite immediately after it left. The Daytona was a beautiful car and the kit was great! I was a home builder and car hobbyist. This was my first complete build.

It wasn’t a waste. It was a learning experience. I learned many new skills and have already started my next project which will turn out even better.

I was trying to do the video in one take. I didn’t have anyone to hold the camera. It’s tricky getting into the car while holding a camera. I shot a quick video of it starting a few days after the walk around video.
