- Join us as we finish of the Daytona build. The body hs been heavily modyfied for Norwegian conditions, and perfect fitments. Everything you see in this video happened in under three weeks. From oct. 8th, to oct. 28th.
The car was shown at Oslo motorshow 2021.
Bodywork and paint done by my father and I at TAJ Bilbyggeren, in Lindesnes, Southern Norway. Owner; Thor Jørgensen.

Don't put the window scoops on - They are on my Daytona - and I wish they were not - they make lots of wind noise - and at high speed cause distortion on the roof and panel behind them. They pull way, way too much wind in a very turbulent way into the car - blowing anything in the hatch area all over...There are better ways to get air in the car.
The window scoops are one of the things that make those car what it is imo. It's a race car. And it's a replica of a very historical and very significant race car at that. I say put them on and enjoy the noise this car will make. It's a 1965!
@@79dent I agree they make the look of the car, I'm point out from experience how well they work. The later gen FF's have the air scoops on the fenders...
Absolutely gorgeously done, both the Daytona Cobra and the videography. Can you tell the specific blue color and paint brand that you used. Tak for das (sorry!).

My dream car 😢 to own a Shelby Daytona Coupe 🔥❤ I know If I stay faithful to saving for one from Factory Five 65 Type it doesn't matter if I don't get a 427 engine on it, I'd be more than happy to have it with a 351W shoot even a 302 5.0L on it, I just want this beautiful car on my position to cruise around the streets 🔥

So gorgeous! Those “13” stencils came out so strikingly beautiful! I’m curious though, why wait till the body is on the car and you have to mask all the things? Not easier to paint first?

Interesting, I thought these cars were painted with the body off, not just the hood.
Ia is painted iside with body off, same as the hood.

Thanks. It was an insane job. Many, many hours in prepping for paint. And its also chopped, set up in the right with, and stiffened. (the fitment was terrible) But its worth it, looks really clean!

Is that Guardsman Blue?
No, its viking blue, or as close as we could get to the authentic colour. With 50/50 semigloss and low closs clearcoat.

Really cool! Did you order directly through F5 or a EU dealership? How much did you pay for the kit considering transportation costs?
We were just building and painting the body, I dont know what the kit-cost where. But yes, ordered directly from F5 😊

Were you adding fiberglass to the underside of the hood? How many hours of prep did it take to get the body ready for paint?
Yes, adding and shaping all over the body. To get this finish, we put down about 500 hours into the bodywork. Thats before the paintjob even started. The kit from factory was really rough and with extremely bad fitment all over. I could stick my hand in between the rear glass and body when it was closed.
What motors in it?
Ford 302 crate.

Fantastic job guys . Would you paint another ? My factory five coupe is nearly ready for paint and I am currently looking for someone to do a class job on it . I am based in the UK however prepared to bring it over .
