It's only Disney really doing this, namely with Lucasfilm and Pixar. Idk what their kick is. People want more fun movies, and not all fun movies have to be MCU-esque, they can be more Top Gun-like or Spider-Verse-like, where there's still an emotional core and powerful moments during the film, but they're a lot of fun and funny anyway. Idk how Kathleen Kennedy still has a job at this point, she really needs to be fired.

Wondered about this thirty years ago, when one show ended on an "ambiguous" note. Everyone said it was great, but some people who thought about it, had questions. One critic said if you thought otherwise, you didn't understand what the show was about. Always remembered that.

Disney REFUSING to fire KK is insanity . She has RUINED two franchises that used to print dollars . She has alienated life long fans in the hopes of obtaining new ones . Yesterday I spoke to someone seeing _Across the Spider-Verse_ for the second time. He said he saw it early, enjoyed it, and was now bringing a friend or two with him. That's how a movie becomes a blockbuster. _Guardians 3_ wasn't quite that successful, but people seem to be still going to it; not sure how many people are seeing it more than once; same with _Transformers._ D&D fans didn't see their movie early (because they were busy or annoyed with Hasbro?), didn't come back to see it again with normal people, so it bombed.
