Jeff Shaffer destroyed prime daigo in 2004. Jeff took 14 out of the 20 matches they played, and perfected daigo many times. And you gotta remember Jeff Shaffer was retired for like 10+ at this time and still rocked daigo. The OG were the best. There will never be another Tomo Ohira ever again.
otochun is amazing before 0:40, he definitely have the super stored, but at 0:40, he stopped and crunched. at first i thought he is blocking but what he did is crouch forward (so super is still stored) and stay outside of daigo's range and wait for his action, when daigo's cr. HP whiffed, he super. bravo! also daigo is one heck of a player and have no problem performing under pressure in round 3. it's amazing that he's good at so many games, while otochun is definitely a master of ST.
The stored super is easy to use, however, keeping it stored is possible even if you throw or switch sides with your opponent and those two things are really difficult to do. But just doing a regular stored super walk up/jump in is pretty easy. It also provides for nice mindgames since fireball characters can't keep her away with fireballs anymore once she has her super, so it's possible to control your opponent with the very fear that the super *might* come out. But yeah Otochun is the best =)
@CelesAura thats were daigo shines bro, he never gives up and whenever he manages to make a comeback its just fucking epic. sadly, this was not the case.
In a way its kind of odd, if he can play keep away pressure offense when he has barely any life, I wonder why he can't really seem to do that as well when he has full health. I guess pressure brings out the best in him
He can do it with full health but its like a last resort when the the stakes are raised. Almost as if he has a stage plan of his fight. I mean like, Ryu can always do that fb trap, but he'd rather play in different way until hes in trouble. He counters pressure with pressure.

I personally would've been in intimidated after the first round (chun li pyer didnt even get a chance to show his skillz), but he came back strong in the 2nd and 3rd and won the match with great finale. Capcom made itself, worship your god if you must. But do not take away from the achievements of man. Capcom didn't become what it was overnight. Street Fighter would not be what it is without the hands of its players.
