    Wow, the best basic tutorial I found on RUclips. No sound but that's actually the plus. I prefer on-screen explanation like this.

    Thank you… all the other tutorials only showed putting bones on separate segmented puppets or using Duik 15. Thank you

      The assets we created in Illustrator but there's no reason you couldn't do the whole thing directly into After EFfects.

    This was very helpful thank you!!! Do you have plans on doing some more advance tutorial when it comes to rigging using Duik? Just like the rigging concept from SPINE 2D or Dragon Bone Pro.

      Thanks man!
      No organised plans as yet but lots of vague ones. I hadn't considered working with those other tools though, great idea!
      I'll add it to the list.
      Thanks for your support ☺️

    may i ask why you cant expand object after adding auto-rig and ik on selected 2 puppet pins but you can when you put on object 3 or more puppets pins?

    • @horribleHorris
      @horribleHorris  5 лет назад

      Oo, I actually don't know. I didn't think you could expand at all once pins are in. You can do some tricksy, precomping to get around changes but if you've found a way to expand with three pins or more, well played!
      It could be to do with the new Puppet Pin tool in recent After Effects versions. You can change the type of mesh in the drop down once you've applied the effect. That might be the trick you're looking for.

    dude please help me when add there more than 2 puppet position pin and click on add bones as a result i get only one add bone sign

      Sorry i didn't see this sooner!
      I'm not a hundred percent clear on the issue but were you creating bones while only one pin was selected? That would do it.
      The other would be if you've got two layers with pins and bones. If you don't give each pin a unique name before you make them bones, AE will read it as just one and pop them on top of each other.

    the pin puppet system dose'nt work on vector objects?

    • @horribleHorris
      @horribleHorris  5 лет назад

      It certainly should! These are vector objects.
      Unless you mean shape layers built inside After Effects. If you want to do it that way, it's best to precomp the shape layer and you're good to go :D

    hmm i tried following this and this video too ruclips.net/video/ESOCvpfrGb8/видео.html
    but after auto rig, my layer/hand/tentacle doesnt follow/move at all
    is it because im using a shape from after effect using pen tool and not some actual files outside AE imported in?

    duik isn't free, you need to pay to use it !

    • @horribleHorris
      @horribleHorris  2 года назад

      It's a pay What You Can model which for students and those just getting into the craft is "free whenever and wherever you can"
      I do hope once folks have had a play and started using it more day-to-day they would go back and offer a donation as is available on their website
