Aloha, Amanda & Felix... Harry's Cafe used to be my hangout. I have not been there in a while. Thanks for shining the light on this restaurant. Christy is super Kool and ALL of the food she serves is great. Beyond breakfast, Lunch plates are a winner too. I still go to Thyda's and eat there all the time. Had everything on the menu over the years, but my favorite is the burrito. It's the perfect size and fills me up. Normally I eat the Carnita's burrito. Yum! Workers are really friendly and always busy. Love the flavors and they will accommodate your taste. Gotta try Wabas. The cream cheese and strawberry mix looks super yummy.

My friends from San Francisco said they heard about Harry's and wanted to try it so we went for breakfast. My friend Gilbert ordered banana pancakes, he still thinks about it. I started painting over graffiti around her place 4 times. I was eating there a lot and had dinner too. I had to stop going because the owner ( Korean ) lady wanted me to call her. This was 10 years ago. Oh by the way I just finished painting all the graffiti on Kapahulu from the zoo to the free way. Kapahulu and Date Street is now graffiti free. I check every 2 days. The long fence across the street from the Running Room is my biggest cost It's $70 every time i paint that fence and it takes me one hour. Thanks for your video i'm going to try Harry's again.

Really enjoyed this video today. Brought back memories. There was a First Federal Savings and Loan at 909 Kapiolani and I worked there until 2001 when we got gobbled up by Bank of Hawaii 😢 There was a tiny restaurant on Waimanu St. and we would buy breakfast there. I just love when you both take a bite out of something. So much enthusiasm I feel like I am right there with you. Take care. Love and blessings. ❤️🌺🙏❤️

Woo-hoo, you guys were right in my neighborhood! I've been here nearly 4 years and never had the guts to into Harry's....shame on me! (This area has some slightly dodgy looking places, so I'm not always sure what's what! 😜) Thanks so much for featuring it for us, and now I know just what to order. Ditto on the Thyda's truck and the Waba's snacks (ate at Bocconcini, the Korean/Mexican fusion, and the Korean Good Fried Chicken places which were all around that area, but had not tried these 3 places yet). Can't wait to see what other hidden gems you uncover next! 😋

My husband and I are coming to O’ahu and Honolulu for the first time to visit my BIL. We have spend some time on the big island and are looking forward to the concentration of diverse foods in the city. I admit I’m a bit over whelmed by the possibilities! Thanks for providing some guidance. Do you have a recommendation for a good farmer’s market for a diversity of fruits vegetables and meats? I love your emphasis on supporting local businesses!

I’m so happy you guys went to Harry’s! I first came across this cafe from looking at actor Stephen Hill (Magnum PI / TC) IG post, so I have been wanting to go there for 2 years. I’m glad it’s good and definitely will try my best to go there next time I’m in town.

So the jackfruit used as a meat substitute in vegan recipes is not ripe, so it does not have the fruity flavor of ripe jackfruit. Everything looked delicious - too bad about the lost footage.
