@ personally if you are visiting I would recommend you got to both of the farmer markets in Waimea. Waimea Town Market at Parker School and Kamuela Farmers Market. Both are open on Saturday. Kinoole Farmers Market is open on Saturday but you need to go there early before 8:00 for best selection. If you search the names exactly how I typed them on Google maps they would show up.

Hey Sean We just arrived in Hilo first thing we got was the 2 sisters mochi that was great. For dinner we went to tetsumen ramen across of the Hawaiian style cafe. Ramen broth amazing, my wife had the gyoza plate you have to try this. Top 5 gyoza we ever had large pcs filled with pork 2 large scoops of rice and Mac salad with tuna. This place must try. We going back before we leave lol. Shootzs.

I loved all that places but my best is the farmers market safe and fresh. I love this video and only in Hawaii you get lots of love and aloha. Over hear in Vegas I hate to say this there is locals from Hawaii open business they force they're aloha they don't have love in they're voice like Hawaii business. No love at all. That's why I miss my home Hawaii. But I'm a retiree and back home is too expensive for me. I so love your videos. literally, we just got back from the Big Island... 5x of the places were already on our list, we'll definitely add the other 5x for our next trip!!! We also got rainbow bread from Low International, picked our our lychee from Kaye Family Farms, crispy beef jerky from George's Meat Market, and we got some Rainbow Falls Lavosh from KTA (we used to get it from their factory/kitchen but not sure if we can still do that).

It’s beautiful just do go during the rain season. It rains a lot all year but it’s bad during Feb-April. 140” a year. I just Spent the last 5 months there.

I forgot to mention that I did go to Merriman's in Waimea. Incredible local sourced food and excellent service. Take Nhi there for date night next time you're on the Big Island.

Great episode in Hilo. Shout outs for your mom! My brother lives in Hilo, so I had him watch and complained to him how come he didn't bring back some of the treats you tried! He said he didn't know about a lot of them. He has lived there for almost 50 years! No excuses now when he comes to visit us on Oahu. Hope Nhi is doing well. I noticed this was filmed a while ago, so I hope she is feeling good.

Man I was there back in February. I spent most of my time on the Kona side of the island. Kona was beautiful but I couldn’t find good food anywhere. The food wasn’t bad. It just was mid. I feel like Hilo had way better options. Next time I go back I’m spending more time in Hilo.

Two ladies in the kitchen is one of my favorite for get some Mochi and my wife and daughters go Kula for some shave ice..next time you go Kula's ask for Kamaina discount at Kula and they going give you $1 off. The line at Two Ladies goes way down the street sometimes. Big Island Style definitely one of the best in Hilo. Wilson’s is my go to, as a small child we went to Itsu’s for ice shave, Hilo way of saying shave ice. At Wilson’s her kids actually serve me now, we both got old. I never have been to Kula, however my cousins say it’s next level; however I’m old school I stick to Wilson’s. My mom goes to Kinoole Farmers Market, it’s small, but more local feel than the downtown farmers market. My mom has a standing Saturday order for 7 papayas from a papaya vendor. They actually bring out to my mom’s car since she is old now. When she doesn’t make it on Saturday they worry about her and will call her. Btw, I live mainland, it’s so nice to know people in Hilo are so caring. Big Island Candies, you gotta try the apple pie. It’s like a whole pie of a napples. Cafe 100 is OG, kind of the Rainbow Drive-in of Hilo. Kūhiō is probably my favorite in Hilo, the Korean chicken is my go to. You missed bento shops Kawamoto’s and Hilo Lunch Shop as my two favorites, I go Kawamoto’s 90% of the time. I remember a guy at Hilo Lunch Shop come in and order just rice with dinuguan. I like dinuguan, but I have yet to try theirs. My must eats when I visit is Wilson’s, Kūhiō, Kawamoto’s and I always eat something from KTA, poke for sure. Snacks I always stop at Lani’s, but don’t miss Big Island Delights, both places they are always so nice.

Aloha! There are some good places I love like Ken's and 2 Ladies but Oahu overall jas better good since it's more competitive. Nothing beats Hilo Market though 🤙👍
Ken's house of pancakes is a hit-and-miss place. Sometimes the food is great and others it just sucks. I have not been there for about 8 months, maybe they have new management now.
Sean. Where is the beef consumed in Hawaii coming from? Is it locally sourced and from the mainland? Also the OG mochi are the ones with adzuki red bean. Good adzuki beans are very fine without any bean skin. The one that they out on Matsu shave ice is low quality Adzuki beans you can see the bean skin. Love the market. But I like the diversity of the Oahu food better😎
Aloha Min C! I couldn't tell you where the beef comes from and the azuki beans was rich in those mochi we had. Oahu has more diversity with food since Hilo is more small but nothing beats Hilos farmers market👍🤙
Yeah Hawaii is good growing up everything is mostly the same but when I went to the mainland and Australia every is big and advanced like Hilo is stuck and everywhere else is 20 ahead maybe more
Next time you're in Hilo try Don's Grill, Koji's Bento, Hilo Seaside, Coconut Grill, eta. Some say Cafe 100 or Lincoln Grill now known as Koji's were the inventors of the Loco Moco. All the other islands never knew what that was. Visited Diner's in the seventies and ordered one and they look at you like you were high on something. Lol high on food from the Big Islands.
Just in time! Heading to Big Island in about a month. It may not be as foodie compared to Oahu or Maui, but we need more RUclipsrs to show Big Island can have a food scene. Mahalo 🤙

We just arrived in Hilo first thing we got was the 2 sisters mochi that was great.
For dinner we went to tetsumen ramen across of the Hawaiian style cafe. Ramen broth amazing, my wife had the gyoza plate you have to try this. Top 5 gyoza we ever had large pcs filled with pork 2 large scoops of rice and Mac salad with tuna. This place must try. We going back before we leave lol. Shootzs.

I loved all that places but my best is the farmers market safe and fresh. I love this video and only in Hawaii you get lots of love and aloha. Over hear in Vegas I hate to say this there is locals from Hawaii open business they force they're aloha they don't have love in they're voice like Hawaii business. No love at all. That's why I miss my home Hawaii. But I'm a retiree and back home is too expensive for me. I so love your videos. literally, we just got back from the Big Island... 5x of the places were already on our list, we'll definitely add the other 5x for our next trip!!!
We also got rainbow bread from Low International, picked our our lychee from Kaye Family Farms, crispy beef jerky from George's Meat Market, and we got some Rainbow Falls Lavosh from KTA (we used to get it from their factory/kitchen but not sure if we can still do that).

It’s beautiful just do go during the rain season. It rains a lot all year but it’s bad during Feb-April. 140” a year. I just Spent the last 5 months there.

Diving with the Manta Rays at night was amazing and diving in lava tubes was a bit scary (you always think lava is coming down. 😳🥵😂). I forgot to mention that I did go to Merriman's in Waimea. Incredible local sourced food and excellent service. Take Nhi there for date night next time you're on the Big Island.

Great episode in Hilo. Shout outs for your mom! My brother lives in Hilo, so I had him watch and complained to him how come he didn't bring back some of the treats you tried! He said he didn't know about a lot of them. He has lived there for almost 50 years! No excuses now when he comes to visit us on Oahu. Hope Nhi is doing well. I noticed this was filmed a while ago, so I hope she is feeling good.

Man I was there back in February. I spent most of my time on the Kona side of the island. Kona was beautiful but I couldn’t find good food anywhere. The food wasn’t bad. It just was mid. I feel like Hilo had way better options. Next time I go back I’m spending more time in Hilo.

You might be one of the first guys that really wen come down Hilo and show what Hilo got to offer. Got to see some people I know on your video from Ken's who wen ring the bell and the two ladies at Farmers Market. Sorry was raining wen you came down and yes Cafe 100 close on the weekends but never go there for ages. Two ladies in the kitchen is one of my favorite for get some Mochi and my wife and daughters go Kula for some shave ice..next time you go Kula's ask for Kamaina discount at Kula and they going give you $1 off. Just Cruising Coffee you should have tried the Mac nut pesto sandwich. The thing is pretty good.....anyway much Mahalo for stopping by Hilo!! My favorite place for eat in Hilo is Miyos and Kenichi btw you gotta stop dropping your food. Lol

The line at Two Ladies goes way down the street sometimes. Big Island Style definitely one of the best in Hilo. Wilson’s is my go to, as a small child we went to Itsu’s for ice shave, Hilo way of saying shave ice. At Wilson’s her kids actually serve me now, we both got old. I never have been to Kula, however my cousins say it’s next level; however I’m old school I stick to Wilson’s. My mom goes to Kinoole Farmers Market, it’s small, but more local feel than the downtown farmers market. My mom has a standing Saturday order for 7 papayas from a papaya vendor. They actually bring out to my mom’s car since she is old now. When she doesn’t make it on Saturday they worry about her and will call her. Btw, I live mainland, it’s so nice to know people in Hilo are so caring. Big Island Candies, you gotta try the apple pie. It’s like a whole pie of a napples. Cafe 100 is OG, kind of the Rainbow Drive-in of Hilo. Kūhiō is probably my favorite in Hilo, the Korean chicken is my go to. You missed bento shops Kawamoto’s and Hilo Lunch Shop as my two favorites, I go Kawamoto’s 90% of the time. I remember a guy at Hilo Lunch Shop come in and order just rice with dinuguan. I like dinuguan, but I have yet to try theirs. My must eats when I visit is Wilson’s, Kūhiō, Kawamoto’s and I always eat something from KTA, poke for sure. Snacks I always stop at Lani’s, but don’t miss Big Island Delights, both places they are always so nice.

Ken's house of pancakes is a hit-and-miss place. Sometimes the food is great and others it just sucks. I have not been there for about 8 months, maybe they have new management now.

Sean. Where is the beef consumed in Hawaii coming from? Is it locally sourced and from the mainland? Also the OG mochi are the ones with adzuki red bean. Good adzuki beans are very fine without any bean skin. The one that they out on Matsu shave ice is low quality Adzuki beans you can see the bean skin. Love the market. But I like the diversity of the Oahu food better😎
Aloha Min C! I couldn't tell you where the beef comes from and the azuki beans was rich in those mochi we had. Oahu has more diversity with food since Hilo is more small but nothing beats Hilos farmers market👍🤙

Yeah Hawaii is good growing up everything is mostly the same but when I went to the mainland and Australia every is big and advanced like Hilo is stuck and everywhere else is 20 ahead maybe more

Next time you're in Hilo try Don's Grill, Koji's Bento, Hilo Seaside, Coconut Grill, eta. Some say Cafe 100 or Lincoln Grill now known as Koji's were the inventors of the Loco Moco. All the other islands never knew what that was. Visited Diner's in the seventies and ordered one and they look at you like you were high on something. Lol high on food from the Big Islands.
