Yes they last. Problem is now Nissan switched from the AISAN 7 speed to a JATCO 9 speed transmission in the Titan. AISAN trans are great...Toyota uses them alot....but JATCO is the reason people dislike Nissans, their CVTs are garbage.
That is my black 2022 and these guys gave me exactly what I asked for. I wanted something a little louder than stock at idle but had a clean rumble on acceleration. Great work guys! This video is just for comparison between two setups with a similar request. If you want a louder setup, these guys can definitely make that happen.
I have Magnaflow on my 2018 Titan Xd. It was dual in dual out. The mechanic put up another pipe towards the muffler. That dual robust sound is sick and monstrous but gentle to my ears while inside the vehicle.
I prefer the Magnaflow true dual in and out with 5 inch tips out the sides. I probably would of gotten the MagnaPacks if it was me. But MagnaFlow sounds awesome.
I prefer borla s type mufflers. im running x pipe and 2 borla s types on my 2017 nissan titan. sounds good but to many cats. wish I could get a new one like this
I originally had a Flowmaster 50 series on my 2007 Dodge Ram Hemi 5.7 with the secondary resonator removed. Last week since I’ve been watching Exhaust Addicts daily (also a subscriber) I switched over to a 14” Magnaflow. I still had the primary resonator on it but going back on Wednesday to get that deleted. Can’t wait!!! Gotta Love This Awesome Channel. Thank you Exhaust Addicts for sharing what goes on at your shop.
On my mother-in-laws 15 ram 5.7 I left the exhaust factory with the dual to single and put a super 10 flowmaster and took the resonator off and it sounds dam good
Both nice but i like the look of the 2 pipes out the back like the RAM, they are nice trucks, i bought a 2023 RAM Warlock with the 3.6 a while ago and i don't want to take a massive loss otherwise i would have a Titan, that's an excellent engine!!
I just recently replaced a flow FX system on my 18 Titan with a Borla S-Type Dual in/out system and wow! It was an expensive system BUT is quite the improvement! Clean solid rumble, no raspiness. While I don't recommend anyone spending $1,400 on the S-Type system, I do recommend buying a Borla S-Type muffler for a few hundred bucks and have someone like these guys put it on. You'll get the same Sweet Sound at a lot less $$.
You can't just buy an S-type muffler. Borla engineers and designs their muffler systems on a per vehicle application. So the particular muffler used has some special construction inside to reduce the raspiness of the VK56 where as a universal fit style probably would not.
@@oldschoolmobile I don't know if they sell the muffler by itself or not. But other than the muffler the rest is just straight pipes do I don't see how any exhaust shop can't easily make those pipes. The muffler does have an integrated H-pipe inside do I guess that's the trick.
I have the dual in/dual out ProXS with the tailpipes going out the back (basically the same as the Flowmaster setup in the video). My budget version of the S-type that you bought. I love the way it sounds, but I’d be interested to see how it compares to the S-type.
My tailpipe just fell off my 2015 again. My mechanic welds it back on. Perhaps I just replace it? Thought NISMO, but it is a unicorn. I'm leaning Magnaflow.
What’s the cost of putting the same flowmaster on a 2017 titan? How long does it take to install everything? I’m located in NC,but would travel on a weekend
Only Magnaflow or other fiberglass/rockwool packed mufflers break in. All chambered mufflers and Borla (all 304SS construction inside and out) sound the same as the day installed. 👍
@@oldschoolmobile chamber Mufflers also break-in but in a different way. They go through heat cycles where they expand and contract and they do change tone after a couple weeks. You can actually see examples on RUclips. ruclips.net/video/3HrgH5g78zQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/-h35eiz0ARw/видео.html
I got a FloxFx system on my 18 Titan. I love it. It does get a little raspy if you really get on it just like the black one on this video. I was told by my mechanic that it is something to do with the valves or timing on the 5.6 and there's really not much you can do about it.
@@seanmcdonald5124 I'm going to have to tend to agree that you may be right about that, I replaced my system with a Borla S-Type which has an H pipe in the dual in/out muffler and I have absolutely no raspiness at all, I love it. Not quite as loud as the flow FX but definitely an improvement.
I can barely tell the difference between the two but I'm certain my 1rst gen with the classic 40 series sounds way better than those. There's a raspiness at high throttle (the card in spoke sound but at a tin can pitch) on both those like the stock exhaust amplified. edit: on 2nd and 3rd listen it's definitely worse on the magnaflow.
Any Rust master that you put aka Flowmaster you put on in Michigan is usually on the side of the highway because it fell off within 2 years. Junk. I've had great results with Dynomax Ultra flow mufler on my truck.
I use to hang and create custom exhaust and have always been a fan of Dynaflo and Magnaflo. The Flowmasters are too raspy and doesn't reach the deep notes.
Some people assume because a muffler is mild in the sound apartment that it is junk and that it doesn't have flow. That is farthest from the truth. Magnaflow has many different mufflers for many different tastes. This guy wanted a quieter exhaust but with a good time. That's what he got. If you want something louder MagnaFlow definitely makes louder mufflers. It's all about choice.
@@ragintaurusmusclemercury7023 May I also mention Magnaflow is a straight through exhaust meaning you dont lose power like you would with a chambered muffler?
@@chkntndy7727 Most people know that a straight through muffler makes more power than the chambered muffler but to some people sound as all they care about. If it's quiet then it doesn't flow. And that is just not true.
I’m a big fan of the titans.. those Japanese v8 will last for ages

@@jimeagle1155 huh ya learn something new every day .. thanks for the info
The 9 speed is a Mercedes transmission made by JATCO.
@jimeagle1155 pretty sure that 7 speed was also a Jatco. It's the B version of the RE7R01A

Ok, i am surprised but i REALLY loved that magnaflow. Tough, baritone yet quiet. Flowmaster was ok, but yeah, Magnaflow was great.

I drove an 08 with a magnaflow dual in single out for 17 years. That pop doesn't go away. That's what the motor sounds like. It's a hemi head
THANK YOU SO MUCH. BOTH BRANS SOUND TOTALLY AWSOME !!!

flowmaster for the “W”
When you click on the part number it takes you to Amazon and says it does not fit your truck? Is this the correct number?

Seems OHC v8 like Ford and Nissan sound better with magnaflow style but GM cam-in-block v8 sound better with chambered mufflers. Thanks for sharing
just put this setup on my 21 pro4x sounds fabulous thk u much
Just got a 21 Pro 4X a couple weeks ago. 22,000 miles. Hoping mine will sound that good
As always great comparison video 👍👍
It would be nice if they made videos the exhaust systems on the day they were installed vs a month later after a few hundred miles are put on them.

The Magnaflow has a deeper tone to it than the FlowMaster.

I have this same truck
Still too quiet. Owner should have just run open manifolds. Which is the best setup for the Nissan Titan.
Toyota I love you but take notes because you really cut the nuts off your trucks in 2024.
Too quiet for me in my opinion
Magnaflows suck
Magnaflows are always basically stock. (Waste of money)
You do realize there’s different size magnaflows. This is the big 20” muffler, I had an 11” magnaflow and it was the best muffler I had on that truck
You’d be surprised how much more satisfying gaining a bit more V8 rumble is. It’s totally worth the money
