Definitely not a JRPG fan but love your videos, it's great to just watch someone that has a real passion for something and i can still appreciate your content and do love seeing your awesome shelf displays and pickups
I just thought I was missing your vids in my feed. Instead you are on the other side of the world living the dream!! Sounds like you had an awesome trip. Thanks for sharing as always.
I love how different you collect compared to what seems like everyone else. I always learn new things from what you have hunted down, as they are not items i have heard of.
As a Jrpg fan is it's very nice to see that collection in the back while I hear another fan talk about their Jrpg pickups. Love the content as always!.
@orbalology Picked up Eternights this week for my Switch 🤓 My local record store has a points program and i use my points on that to get it for $20. Heard from a couple people that it was going to get a small print run so happy I got it now and won't have to regret it later
Great to see you come back strong after your trip, those were some really awesome pickups. Also loving the new look for the collection! I’ve not really picked up anything lately, I’ll probably pick up a few this upcoming month, my current obsession is Core Keeper on Switch, going to double dip for the physical when it drops.
Great video, Emily. I'd love to visit Japan. Your shelves are a feast for the eyes and soul. The Metaphor: ReFantazio collector's edition is so beautiful 😭 but I'm content with getting the game day 1, and I'm 66 hours in. It's so good! Glad you're having a good time with it. On a side note, I did upgrade my physical copy with the anniversary digital goodies, and the soundtracks let you transfer the tracks to an external USB drive, nice little bonus! Driving to that battle theme is an interesting experience 😅
This is an awesome collection! I love how you manage to display everything in such a clean and stylish way. Thank you for inspiring us with your amazing content! 🙂
Well done Emily on the video! A shame about the typhoon stopping your trip to Miyazaki but I am glad you had an amazing trip and got a great haul of goodies! This video is lovely, I love the display set up and the lighting looks excellent! I am setting up an RPG room currently too ^^. Much love and hope all the PC issues are solved soon too. Si
It's too bad we missed each other because of that typhoon! I've been thinking of lining the back of my shelves with some strip lights for ambiance but haven't committed in case I decide to move next year again.
love your channel. you've helped me realize that i am indeed a collector, and for some reason i never realized that. you are so thoughtful and thorough in defining what collecting means to you. and i appreciate that.
Excellent haul of pickups, Emily! Really happy to hear that you had a great time in Japan. All the pictures you posted on Twitter definitely had me wanting to go back! Golf Story is such a great game. I played it last year and it really reminded me of the older Mario Golf RPGs on the GBC/GBA. Thanks for sharing!
I really appreciate your videos because it’s thoughtful and we have the same taste! LOVE your collection. Was pleasantly surprised to see a new upload after watching old videos!
Great additions to the collection! With my shelves for my top videogames, tv shows, movies and albums, I basically display them as ranked in a Top 100 format. That might drive A-Z folks mad 😂 but that’s how I do it, Top 10/100 everything! 😂
Love the pick ups and the way you have your shelves played out. I'm gonna be getting Ys X soon, can't wait. Sadly for me I got nor proper way to show off all my games, just a little bedside desk tucked in a corner of my room where I keep my games at
Love your new set up. I just commented for the algorithm and will watch it later that day. Take care (and hopefully your new stuff fits in the shelves😂)
Saw the thumbnail and immediately knew you picked up BOTW expansion physical and Xenoblade 3 art book. Both things I've been considering myself. Also love those soundtracks (Ryza and Daybreak)
Hey man, I love your channel and what you do. Keep at it! If you ever go to Japan again just know that you have fans that would love vlogs of game-hunting or of even just sightseeing you do!
I’ve been waiting on this Japan pickups video hahaha I definitely empathize being disappointed not picking up as many switch games. When i went to the Philippines i wanted to buy so many games, but i couldn’t justify it for the price.
nice pickups Ems. yeah from what i hear it's very hard to find a lot of game related things unless your in one of those huge stores in Akihabara or something.😅😅those collectors editions are beautiful and i am loving metaphor as well.
I just played the first Cat Quest game last weekend and absolutely loved it! The quests were so addictive. Had no idea there was a physical copy of the entire Trilogy so I definitely have to pick that up.
Yay new video! I want that Ryza soundtrack CD lol it’s such a good OST! Been on a CD collecting kick recently and Japan really is the best place for that even if you can’t read the spines lol
Some really nice pickups I agree BOTW is one of if not my favorite Switch game too such a magical game when it launched it gave me a feeling that I hadn't had since the Legend Of Zelda decades earlier. Thanks for video it was fun 😊❤
I was in Tokyo last year and only picked up a few games. Most of the places were cleaned out already. Great food and atmosphere tho. Thanks for the show n tell 😊😊😊
It’s tough. Most of Tokyo, especially Akihabara, has been picked over by western collectors. Even places like Super Potato have lower inventories. It’s not surprising that folks are going to the countryside to game hunt.
Nice pickups! Unfortunate that you weren't able to find a lot of good deals where you were. Mandarake does tend to be on the pricier side, even compared to Super Potato. One of my favourites in Akihabara is called Friends. It is a cash only shop but the staff are lovely and the prices are typically a bit better. I've found some great deals at Nakano Broadway though, if you find yourself in the Tokyo area again it might be worth the train ride, as there are many shops with merch as well :) Really nice to see the updated shelves, I love that t-shirt box with the famicom artwork on it!
Beautiful collection, could I ask where you sourced the acrylic art of the 20th trails above the 20th acrylic characters as I would be keen to get one too (all I would find was playmat using that art)
The official Japanese Falcom store has those in stock now I believe. I used a proxy service to buy and have them shipped to my home address. The Falcom website also has a list of all licensed merchandise that gets announced if you want to be up-to-date with everything. falcom.shop/products/detail/676
Ha, I just got back from Japan and also picked up that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 + number 2 as well. Looking forward to finishing the games before I read them! I also picked up a bunch of switch games which had english options so the backlog is starting to feel heavy...
Yeah when it comes to Tokyo and Osaka especially, with retro games they’ve been rather picked clean, and for games you’d actually be looking for it’s all eBay prices. There are still good prices for picking up random lesser known of games. But like you said don’t get expectations too high. Hardware is still a great deal though. A Japanese region console is way cheaper there than what you’d pay for online.
Awesome pickups! Curious what other stores you went to in Japan for game hunting? I visited Japan over the summer and had to buy an additional luggage bag for all the games and merch I bought to bring back 😅
Nice video Emily! Out of curiosity: where do you store your art books and books in general? I haven't seen many on your shelves. I mean, not that ones that comes insides games boxes
My niece is currently in Japan right now, could find what I wanted in Osaka but she’s going to the same places you visited. Any store recommendations? She has 2 weeks left 😂.
Red Dead Redemption was nice surprise 🙂By the way did you film any Japan travel video footage? I follow Japanese vloggers and they say that August seems to be very hot time to travel. Great decorative and beautiful finds! (And especially accessories like satchel)
Is that Agumon figurine from some kind of retro Digimon set, or were you just lucky to find one with the same pose and scale size while shopping around? I would've added a Digimon piece to my nostalgic shelf by now but I'm still holding out just in case a big toy brand retroes a premium collectors edition of the Digivice virtual pet... or if Bandai makes more of those Digimon starter decks (Gaia & Cocytus) they refuse to reprint, lol.
Great insight. I have noticed that some lesser known JP exclusive games are priced okay even in Tokyo. What's really hard to get low are the popular international franchises like Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Square stuff etc. You do not have to go very far though to find okay deals even on famous stuff. Even just hour north by train of Tokyo there was a Surugaya that had pokemon Games complete in box for 3000 yen each. Off topic, but have you seen/played the Tsukihime Remake visual novel yet? And Witch on the Holy Night? I think you may like them. I am a big Type Moon fan personally.
When purchasing and bringing back overseas, do you have to limit yourself because of luggage space and whatnot? I know it’s an obvious question but I’ve always been curious. Thank you again for always sharing your experiences and collection with us. 🙂
I was very mindful of space mostly because I was traveling to so many different cities and didn't want to lug everything with me every few days haha. I ended up only using a carry-on and one checked bag, and I definitely filled those to the limit with these items and other things I picked up :)
Cool games. I really like your art books & your sound tracks. I love your shelves & how you organize your games on it, with the figurines, sound tracks & plushies. My shelves are just ordinary with games on it. I don't have that many physical copies either. Your shelves are actually beautiful. Yeah that's the word I would describe it & so eye Candy. I've never seen shelves like yours to be honest with you. I'm a Physical Collector now. The reason why I am not a digital gamer anymore is because I was buying to many games I didn't like, & they took way to long to download & install. With my Physical Switch games they are instant maybe 1 min at most for my game to install & ready to play. Plus I buy way less of them since they are way higher in price. Tomorrow I am going to buy Super Mario Party Jamboree on the Switch. So that'll be game physical no 176 maybe. Update with me. I still work at Amazon at the warehouse preparing packages for the drivers for 2 years now in November. I am really happy when I get days off & not work, it's such a awesome feeling. I got an Elgato Capture Card & it's great. I record Switch games so far on my channel. I'm getting a tripod. The idea with that is to record my Crt talk about the games I have beaten & recorded on VHS. It takes long to format my vhs stuff to MP4 files. I know youtube editing vids recording them is very time consuming. So I appreciate any vid that you do.
Hope you enjoy the new Super Mario Party! I've been looking into upgrading my capture card to try to get more gameplay footage myself, and best of luck with your channel!
@@orbalology Hi Emily. I beat the Super Mario Party Jamboree. It took me about 9 hours to beat. I'm not sure if you've played other Mario Party games, this one is ok. Maybe you'll like this one. I recommend Mario Party 4 for the Gamecube if you want a great Mario Party game.
region free switch is the best thing that ever happened for NN's home consoles. last hear I got 2nd hand copies of 1st party nn games for switch for ~$25. crazy cheap for the biggest console titles. at least it is in Europe. such a shame playstation games are region locked. otherwise I would go crazy for ps2 game and xbox360 now when I think about it.
Your frequent discussion of your enjoyment of xenoblade chronicles prompted me to start the remaster on switch (i just got a switch lite, my first Nintendo console since my GBA). The combat system is baffling. I don't get what is happening half the time. It's like an MMO with the auto attack but no customising action sequences. Not sure if i should persevere and try to figure it out or if it's just "not for me". What do you reckon?
Great to see your happy face and usual enthiusiasm for our hobby & passion.

Emily has returned 😳😱
Currently slacking off at work but excited for new video 💪
I'll just have to watch later 👀
Thanks! Hope it was worth the wait!
@orbalology
Picked up Eternights this week for my Switch 🤓
My local record store has a points program and i use my points on that to get it for $20.
Heard from a couple people that it was going to get a small print run so happy I got it now and won't have to regret it later
Great pickups and so glad you had a nice time in Japan!!! Really neat to get some art books for sure. I can't wait to go back someday!
Seeing your expression for your passion always makes my day. 🙂
Glad you had a nice time in Japan! Great pickups too, I love that Xenoblade art book. I'm actually going to Japan next year with some friends 🙂
Great to see you come back strong after your trip, those were some really awesome pickups. Also loving the new look for the collection!

Such an awesome collection! Gives me ideas when I watch your pickups/ shelving. Thanks for sharing as always!
Been a month, you deserve 38k subs. You should upload more often
Whoa, new lighting who dis?
But FR tho, glad you had a great time in Japan with some mighty fine Pickups!
I've got a new setup I'll likely be sharing in the next vid :)
Your voice is so soothing in this video 😮. Glad you had such a fun trip!
Great Japan haul, AmiAmi has hidden gems from time to time lol
I had the best luck with AmiAmi in terms of merch - they had the best prices & variety!

New lighting and cam? Good for you Emily, keep rocking!
Your passion is incredible and love your videos ☺️ glad it was a lovely time
Love the pick ups and the way you have your shelves played out. I'm gonna be getting Ys X soon, can't wait. Sadly for me I got nor proper way to show off all my games, just a little bedside desk tucked in a corner of my room where I keep my games at
I had my games in boxes before when I was between moving, so no shame in how we have to store them at certain points in our lives!
Cool pick ups! Very jealous of your Japan trip.
Edit: those art books were incredible. I just ordered the Unicorn Overlord art book from PlayAsia
I enjoy your videos! It looks like you had a good time in Japan! Thank you for sharing! =)
awesome japan haul!! that vanillaware artbook is absolutely so cool, did not know it existed, might have to pick it up!

Lot of cool stuff, glad you had a fun trip! I'm soo jealous of the Cloud figure, huge Final Fantasy fan! XD
You always bring such great energy to the room ✨️ 🙌 💕 ❤️
thanks for the great video, love to see another JRPG fan
I do collect physical games for a few years now. I don't display them, not sure how I would display them if I decided to.
She back! You'll have to let me know what you think of Beacon Pines, that's been on my maybe list for a long time.
Saw the thumbnail and immediately knew you picked up BOTW expansion physical and Xenoblade 3 art book. Both things I've been considering myself. Also love those soundtracks (Ryza and Daybreak)
As the camera panned below Estelle and you said "right below this shelf," I actually heard "Right below Bestelle" 🤣

For this trip I was traveling for over a month and was worried about bringing equipment with me so I decided not to make content while I was there.
Eternights was a very fun play. It’s not overly long and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. Great emotional story with good characters.
I’ve been waiting on this Japan pickups video hahaha
I definitely empathize being disappointed not picking up as many switch games. When i went to the Philippines i wanted to buy so many games, but i couldn’t justify it for the price.
It can be so difficult when you see so many great games in front of you but not pick them up! But we gotta be patient lol
GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK!!! 🎉 KEEP UP THE GREAT CONTENT! Look forward to having you back in the rotation lol
I'm hoping to be back on my weekly schedule!
nice pickups Ems. yeah from what i hear it's very hard to find a lot of game related things unless your in one of those huge stores in Akihabara or something.😅😅those collectors editions are beautiful and i am loving metaphor as well.
Looks great I need to invest in some shelves lol I got so much gaming crap in my closet and in the corner by the system 😂
Just subscribed 🔔 to your new collaboration podcast 👍🏼
You’ll love Beacon Pines it’s one of my favourites! Definitely a Fall cozy game ☺️
Love japan hauls. It's like a wonderland whenever I go
BTW. You have to play Baten Kaitos. Adore the games and the reason why I was a big part of Operation rainfall to get xenoblade here! 😊
Awesome, to see you back 😱. I NEED to visit Kyoto soon
Kyoto was probably my favorite city that I visited in Japan - highly recommend making the trip :)
I just played the first Cat Quest game last weekend and absolutely loved it! The quests were so addictive.
Had no idea there was a physical copy of the entire Trilogy so I definitely have to pick that up.

Glad to hear, someday I'll finally get to it haha

Thanks! It's slowly but surely growing!
Great video like always I love watching you. Please keep up the great work. God bless you.

Woooooooo, new video 🎉
nice one Emily!
Awesome hauk
No way I didn’t know I got Metaphor too. But I didn’t know it has a steal inside! Bought the one for 140

nice artbooks! idk why shipping for artbooks from PA is outragous expensive

Finally the video we've been waiting for!!! I'm super jelly you got to go to Japan! Ps. Why is your 1080p HD video so fuzzy?
With my new PC it looks like I didn't set my video rendering settings correctly. I'll hopefully have it all sorted in the next one!
Your shelf has grown 🥹💕Curious, do you keep your boxes for your figures?
You've probably mentioned it before, but where do you get your shelves from?? I love the corners you have with collectors editions and figures.
Nice video Emily!

How did you take all this stuff back with you?
Baten Kaitos remakes are so good. Bit gutted it doesnt have the hilarious english dub though. Weird how we somehow had it physical here in the UK

The Digimon figures are new actually - they're called the 'Lookup' figures by Megahouse. Reasonably priced and a good size imo.
I have the Japanese release of Baten Kaitos which has english tetx
Anyone knows if YS X on Switch is complete on the cartridge, or requires download?
