Easy: the top third liquid is dragons blood, preferably from a young female dragon. The middle third is diluted Pokémon tears specifically from a German Pokémon. And the lower third is a tiny amount of the atmosphere from Mars. Duh....common knowledge.

    Red - chlorophyll
    White - some clothes detergent?
    Blue - tonic water

Thats what I was thinking. The white is the hard one. Anyone who has been watching for a while should remember the tonic water.

So i guess the middle layer has to be some oil to keep the ethanol and water from mixing?

DrCl4ym0re but how would you mix oil with another liquid?

    I would bet to be:
Top fluid: Chlorophyll solution in Ethanol [d~0.789 g/cm^3].
    Mid fluid: Kerosene [d around 0.8 g/cm^3].
Bottom fluid: Quinine solution in Water (aka Tonic water) [d~1g/cm^3].
    In any case.
Many compliment this channel is AWESOME !

so these are all clearly imesecible liquids (unmixable). therefore the bottom is some water based solution while the middle is most likely oil and the top alcohol. the flouresnece colours leads be to belive the bottom (blue) is tonic water due to the presence of quinine, the middle vegetable oil maybe olive oil specifically although the colour of the oil seems a bit light for it? ( range of 350 - 650 nm emissions sourced from here : pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jf048742p leading to white like light?) and the top is clearly the same colour as the chlorophyll so is the ethanol chlorophyll solution.

That is funny because the place I grew up (north/central California) everything was brown in the summer and green in the winter.
This is true but so weird that when John Steinbeck write about it, his publishers switched the green in winter for green in summer, assuming he screwed up.

water, vegetable oil, then chlorophyll concentrate

  • @DrCl4ym0re
    @DrCl4ym0re 7 лет назад +1

    Ethanol
    Olive oil
    Tonic Water
So the top layer is probably ethanol. I base this on its low density and i mean you showed it minutes before :3
The bottom layer will probably be tonic water. This will have a density around 1.001g/ml so pretty damn close to water,
which leads to the conclusion that we are looking at a liquid, for the middle layer, with a density between 0.78 and 1. Also it has to be in a different phase which makes me guess it's an oil. And after a quick lookup on wikipedia I find that the density of olive oil, which is a pretty common ingredient, is 0.91. That fits perfectly into what we've been looking for.
I dont know anything about lasers and the way compounds act when being lit with a laser. I can only base my answer on the phases of each liquid, its density and it being common.
    Also im in 9th grade..

Quinine, a glow stick (maybe with TCPO) and possibly vitamin B12. They all fluoresce under UV light. The Quinine will glow blue, while the B12 will glow a greenish color and the TCPO will glow a redish color with the correct dye mixed in.
