Nature Talks: Community Eelgrass Restoration Initiative

During our Nature Talk on July 2nd we welcomed Dr. Kristina Boerder, a marine scientist at Dalhousie University researching Eelgrass and its importance to Atlantic Canada's blue carbon stores! The Community Eelgrass Restoration Initiative (CERI), that Kristina has been working on involves mapping Eelgrass locations, measuring Eelgrass carbon sequestration, restoring Eelgrass meadows and education & outreach.
