Amazing how you find crappie. That's called knowing what you are doing Love to watch your videos and try to learn how to better them. Thank you for all your vidio's, and learning what and how to do it. Thanks again and God Bless!
Hey Brandon, Thanks for your great videos! I just found your channel and enjoy watching. Would you please consider doing a video where you talk about locating crappie without the use of electronics? I just have a small boat with no electronics. I love to fish as much as anyone else, just can't afford all of the gizmos to locate the fish. Thank you again for the videos and have a great day fishing!
brandon it would really help us if you would show us where your casting to on these docks. use highlighter to show where and how your letting jig fall.
Didn't figure I would get any comment back, I usually don't when I ask about about fishing without any electronics. Not complaining, just thought I would try. Have a great day.
Sorry man hadn’t got around to it yet. I grew up fishing with no electronics, and we caught plenty of crappie. All electronics do is help you break down water quicker. Without them your best bet is to fish visible targets and high percentage places like bridge columns, boat docks, laydowns, and etc. It may take you longer to find them but you can certainly still be successful. Be sure to take note of how deep your bites are coming as well, as that will usually be a pattern all over the lake. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thank you Brandon! I do really appreciate the help and the tips that you suggested. I will try them the next time that I go out. I do like your videos and enjoy your tips on crappie fishing. Thank you for your time and good luck on the water.
Love your videos. I see you fishing lakes in the south for crappie. Have you ever fished inland or coastal rivers? I fish coastal rivers and have trouble finding crappies sometimes. I believe the fluctuations in water salinity pushes them out of places they normally school at certain times. Would you agree?
Love the videos, been trying to learn how to catch crappie. Do you have any advice for someone fishing barren rock lakes with no brush? Any good presentations that work better in open water?
Used to watch the Braves all the time with my grandad during the Smoltz, Glavin, Maddox era. Brings back good memories so I’ll take that as a compliment lol. Thanks for watching!
I enjoy watching all your crappie videos. Great job! Do you ever have anyone try to say you can’t fish their docks? I want to try shooting dock but worry someone will try to run me off. Thank you for any info.
I have definitely ran into this, many times as a matter of fact. It’s important to remember a dock is someone’s property and I always try to be as respectful as if it were my own, but at the end of the day the dock sits on public water. Different states have different laws but in TN they can’t legally keep you from fishing around their docks. Most states are the same way. As a matter of fact there are laws in place that protect anglers against people harassing them while fishing. Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself, but as I said be respectful. Most people won’t give you any problem whatsoever. Thanks for watching!
Nice video! Average size fish there is solid! I'll be honest I did skim a bit through the video so if you said it sorry but how deep was it where you were fishing on that brush pile?
I'm curious about the black nose crappie. You catch a lot of them and I'm wondering what part of the country you're in, and do you find them to be similarly popular in all the lakes in your territory? I fish in north Texas and catch one very rarely. I'm not after any secret information; just curious what you can tell me about them. I do enjoy watching your shows. Thanks.
I’m in Tennessee and we have a lot of them in our lakes. TWRA started stocking them 20-25 years ago and they have some really well in out area. They basically have the same tendencies as black crappie, and fight hard. Very fun to catch! Thanks for watching
@@BrandonLesterFishingI understand I’ve got a break away pole from Beatdown and now have it on the Garmin Force but dang we fish so many diff ways for crappie no one set up is perfect seems like ..Thanks again

Enjoy as always. Keep them coming I haven’t been able to go had hand surgery, can hold on to a pole yet.
Hope you heal up quick! I’d be going one handed with a cane pole if I had to😂. Just joking, hope you get back after them soon. Thanks for watching!
Great video as always.
Thanks
Good video, stick and move, stay safe on the water 😊

Would love to get you down to the lake harris chain in Florida and fish with you
Bass fished down there a lot but never for crappie. Always see people crappie fishing in the dead river when I’m idling through. Thanks for watching
I've been killing them with smaller jigs including those trout/crappie magnets and 64th heads

first rule of those is put your own brush in the lakes and you will be doing great. doesn't take much time.
@keithwalker5078 alrighty I'll have to get some Christmas trees after Christmas to throw out there
John Smoltz ( Atlanta Braves ) pitcher in his early years is your older look a like !😂

Thank you for your reply and help. I’m going to try a few docks soon on the tn river.
Man, you are awesome! Keep up the great work!!
Are you seeing your jig with your FFS? I just got one, and find it hard to believe I’ll ever see that tiny jig.
Once you get it dialed in you’ll see it no problem. Adding the split shot when possible helps a lot too. Thanks for watching.
What’s the best setting for the active target when looking under docks ? AWSOME video thx.
Forward range 50ft. Down range 25ft. Contrast 79-89 depending on water conditions. Thanks for watching!
