I will be honest I got a OnePlus 9pro 6weeks ago and I miss my mate 20pro with emui on it. It's at least a league above oxygen os. Emui was much more refined thought trough. I really miss Huawei if they bring banger phones like the mate series again i say bye google hello harmony

It looks like the Kirin version is better optimized in the camera software than the Sd888 version of the P50 PRO from what I've seen from other reviews! Please do a comparison with the Honor Magic 3 Pro+ thanks Ben Cheers! 👍🏻
One would be blind to not notice how great the cameras, mics and stabilisation is on this phone. I'm an LG fan but I don't deny the greatness of Huawei.
Can't wait for it to come to Mexico. Sadly, it looks like they don't sell many Huawei phones here, as people don't buy them that much since there are no GMS on Huawei phones. Regardless, I don't care all that much about GMS, so I'm hoping to get my hands on the regular P50 in Mexico when it comes out (Definitely not the Pro, too expensive).

@@omarsalim9562 I make lots of calls, whatsapps and videos. Currently using the Hotspot from the p50 so lots of consumption but I always have a charger. Office. Home. Car. One charge would last 2 days for average user.
Damnn that main camera is so crisp for vlogging and good mics too! Even the 10x zoom of the P50 Pro is better than the S21 Ultra and Samsung has an optical 10x zoom for the S21U. Really amazing what Huawei can do with cameras.

Waiting for so long, really appreciated brother. I'm so amazed how P50 Pro kills S21 Ultra in zoom even though S21 Ultra already have 10X optical zoom but Huawei processing engine beats it up easily.

And as far as 5G goes I know it's not fully here yet, but because you don't have it on this one your phone isn't as future proofed compared to other phones that have it. 🤔🤔📱📱

I’m happy the monochrome sensor is making a comeback after last seen on P20 Pro, it was a joy using it on that device. The videos and photos are great as expected coming from Huawei - Leica. Too bad US sanctions cripples the Huawei as a company, there (allegedly) isn’t even a Mate version this year.
I heard sth that when you take a photo it uses the main sensor and monochrome together to combine into the finished photo. Is that true. Also would love to check out some more night shots and the color upgrade and motion shots they spoiled during the release, when you can actually get your hands on the deice for a more detailed review
I love how raw review you made for this awesome P50 Pro. Indeed Huawei still on top when it comes on smartphone photography. Clearly how great camera is.
I still have my P20 Pro. If the P50 uses similar tech, the B&W sensor is what makes it great at low light photography. It takes a B&W pic using that sensor, and a color pic using the main sensor at the same time. The exposure needed for the B&W pic is less, so it gets a good night shot in B&W. It then takes the color info from the (presumably underexposed) main camera and applies it to the B&W pic, to get a well exposed color pic in very low light. I moved to the Samsung Note 20 Ultra earlier this year, and I'd say that for some pics, the P20 is still better. Huawei understand how to combine multiple pics; Samsung, as far as I can tell, only ever use one lens at a time.
The pictures/videos are excellent, especially since it hasn't had multiple updates to make it even better with fixes. Harmonyos is great, using it on my mate 20x and I'm very impressed. Also they keep pushing out updates. Good review and I hope I'll be able to get this soon, but only if I can get the kirin version. The SD 888 isn't my cup of tea, it has overheating issues and the kirin is better optimized for Huawei phones imo
the camera on this device is supreme every shot was a lot better than the competitors and the crazy thing it beat the s21 ultra at x10 pretty badly without even an optical x10 …this company is amazing
Hi Ben, awesome as always ! 😎 I'm not sure that the main camera sensor is 1/1.28", though. The P40 pro and mate 40pro have this one, but as far as I know, Huawei cannot use Sony sensors anymore. Perhaps it's a smaller, OmniVision one, and that's the reason why they need the monochrome sensor - to achieve the same lowlight results, but with a smaller sensor this time.

I am the one prepared to switch P50 Pro from S21 Ultra. Initially, I had used Mate 40 Pro, and switched to S21 Ultra. However, I eventually intended to switch the Huawei Phone, even there is no Google supported. I really like the camera of Huawei!!
