They ask because they want to make sure that you are genuine muslim because i've seen lots of non muslim foreigners who give salam to the muslims. As far as i know, we non-muslim Malaysians don't give salam to other muslims except normal greetings.
I guess it's a frequent question asked here
Please Like, Share, Subscribe and comment 😃 Let me know what is your favorite Malaysian Street Food?! 😉

My muslim friends get the same thing in the UK when greeting others! It always works out in the end though :D :)
What kind of greeting?
@@TravelingSoloLogs Literally just saying hi to a waiter or someone out and they don't believe it initially when they say they're also Muslim. Then they say their name and they get on. Some people just a bit sceptical at first but then can open up.
assalamu allaykum warah matullahi wa barakatuhu watching from Philippines ma shaa allah so nice looking enjoy and always take care
Wasalam! I'm happy you're enjoying the video! Hopefully I can visit the Philippines soon!
I’ve been enjoying your KL content! Curious, Is this your job or a side hustle? How long have you been in Malaysia for? Thanks for all you share 🙏
Both 😃
Solo you've been to Malaysia twice now. Common why dont you venture to Kota Bharu in Kelantan state or Kuala Trengganu in Trengganu state on the East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia. You will find loads of delicious traditional food and beautiful east coast cities there. Lots of interesting contents for yr vlogg too and beautiful beaches. You can take the luxury coaches or express buses or flight. Salam and stay well.
Wasalam, great idea. I just have to find budget places to stay and see what I can do
hi, love your vids...had the ramly burger today under the metro. That was FANTASTIC, thanks for the rec. Do you know where the halal street market is for Monday night by any chance?
Not that I know of, I'm not sure if there is a Monday market

Akok & Beko are traditional Kelantan kuih...if someone sell this kuih most of the time you can recognized they are from Kelantan...Kuih Akok very famous especially during Ramadhan...

You're awesome, thank you!
❤
30:39 - Malay hat ( Tanjak ). It also had other version and name
Cool, I just bought one today 😁
they poured liquid nitrogen into it. a few years back the were burnt cases where the liquid nitrogen trapped in the food didn't evaporate.
Oh wow, I hope the people are okay now
I'm pretty sure that's dry ice i.e a solid form of Carbon Dioxide. No harm there.
Just heard u say in video that you stay in Malaysia for 6m. Nice! Curious, how do you get such a long visa? I’m frm Canada and would love to be able to stay longer than 3m sometime 😎👌
I visited here many times so my visa gets renewed. Not sure for long term stays
liquid nitrogen is dangerous bro carefull and this stall not malaysian people
Thanks for the heads up bro!
shalom aleichem🙏. You always usually finish with a drink at the end 🥤

@@TravelingSoloLogs
Indonesians living in Malaysia
You can tell by their English & their Bahasa Melayu

Where is this night market
Smoking Malaysia street food
What is the name of this street food?
Hey brother im curious what your set-up is, cam and mic? The mic is seems to filter out the background noise while still picking up the conversations well. I love the content also very much so
Thanks, I use a gopro with a wireless rode mic! 🤠
I appreciate it, brother. i have the gopro 11 with a rode shotgun mic, but it's very directional. Ill be watching more of your content
Hello where is this place? Can you share the location?
Hey it's next to sogo in KL
Some foreigners used the salam greeting but they are not muslims. Thats why the curious question is asked but not in offence.
Great to know, it's still annoying if you are Muslim
Salam, what is the location of the saturday street food
Near sogo in KL
Salaam is it open every saturday. Whats the street name please
Biscut/Biscuits = Berasap/with Smoke
Thanks for the info 😃
a little bid overpriced IMO. you should try food at Kampung Baru instead
Both are around the same, depending where you go
If not muslim..no need to answer salam
You are correct
Well Solo.. nowadays there are many non-muslims who greet us with Assalamualaikum... we can't tell the difference for sure.. and when we meet a muslim foreigner we can only be so happy to meet our new brother/sister. Hence the direct question, "Are you a muslim?". Pardon us.. don't get annoyed please.
Thank you for your comment. I just get this question asked so often here and online as well.
@@TravelingSoloLogs Learn this phrase by heart, "Tak kenal maka tak cinta." 🥰
What is this market called please
Saturday market near masjid India
Some of them ask if you muslim probably coz they are curious...you looks like Arab but speak English without Arabic Accent...normally Arab people accent quite thick eventho they speak English...same like Indian...so they just curious plus when you give Salam LOL...dont offended...cheers😆😁
hey solo don,t you get diaerya from all that
food. becaus all the food is fryed😮
😅
