Hai Solo... assalamualaikum...😊 I'm sorry I missed a couple of your videos in KL... will look at it later... I'm actually taking care of my mother in law warded in hospital due to oldness (she's already 87 years old) so that's why I'm quite busy... However I'm glad that you enjoy here... Malaysia is definitely food heaven ..... different places sometimes have different menu that you can try... hope you can stay longer...!!! Thank you Solo... for coming to Malaysia again... stay safe, stay healthy and enjoy our halal food widely available with all varieties.... enjoy your trip...!!! Btw my son loves peneram very much... I like it too especially when it's freshly made....
Wasalam, sorry to hear about your mother in law! Inshallah she feels better! Thank you so much for your kind words. Your son has good taste in food, peneram was delicious :)
Those mini doughnuts you said is called kuih peneram or kuih degham in certain places in Malaysia. It has a sweet taste and can be kept last for months...
Wow, can’t wait to be back to KL for this street food. Great to taste all type of halal different food…everything looks delish, d ’peneram’, could hear the crunchiness 😋. As always, can I have 😁😆..anyway have fun n take care!
Yeah the murtabak filling especially in Kelantan we pre cooked it first....i believe he use kinda special spice, onion & beef/chicken to cook...so good... i'm hungry right now bro 🤤😂
i wonder solo, with much of your travelling in the SEA (not just malaysia) region, how does it changes your taste bud in term of food which the SEA region have more spices, herb, completetly different from the west in your journey so far?..
Murtabak Mini Gua Musang? Hmmm never try eventho i'm from Kelantan...i'm from another district in Kelantan...maybe i should go to G.Musang or to this guys stall in KL to try it 😂
Not noddle it's jelly. The green jellies are a mixture of few flour such as rice flour, cornstarch, cassava flour, a little bit of pandan leaves, a little bit of kalsium carbonate n salt. Without palm sugar n santan (coconut milk) it tasteless😊
@@TravelingSoloLogs ok je👍👍. Enjoy your stay here. Once a while try to visit the east coast part ie pahang, kelantan n terengganu. Try their rare food there. Just to name a few, tahi itik (duck poo in english😅🤭). Made from glutinous rice flour + rice flour, a seasonal kuih in kelantan n terengganu. Akok (flour, eggs, palm sugar n coconut milk), belebat ubi stelo ( boiled purple n orange sweet potato, sugar), royal pudding (grilled banana, egg, custard, mixed of nuts (almond, cashew), pandan leaves, sugar), dodol kukus (glutinous rice flour + cassava flour palm sugar n tahi minyak (cooked coconut shredded). These are rare sweet kuih where you can find in east coast Malaysia. For savory, you can try their sata (shredded fish n coconut, cillies, wrapped in banana leaves). Give a try.
It's kinda weird that u label it "Halal Street Food" since halal food is everywhere in Malaysia. Generally speaking, the only places that don't serve halal food are the chinese stalls/establishments that don't have "halal" sign on it. Of course there are some korean, japanese etc places that are not halal but generally speaking when it comes to locals even Indian establishments are all basically halal
There are bunch of non halal street food & night market in Malaysia LMAO, especially the Chinese one...so whats wrong? I think Solo doing right by mentioned it "HALAL" so people doesnt get confused...
But for non Malaysian Muslim viewers, it is always good to mention whether the food is halal or not. Just like when we are travelling overseas to non Muslim majority countries. There are cases when some Muslim travelers end up going to non Halal stalls in KL because of the assumption that everything should be Halal in Malaysia. Unless you are traveling in predominantly Muslims states.
@@ibrahimalli2474 "But for non Malaysian Muslim viewers, it is always good to mention whether the food is halal or not" - why would that matter to non-muslim viewers? They don't really care if it's halal or not

Great question! I would probably say the food here is a lot spicier, which I love but also some of the ingredients are different too like pandan :)
There should not be adding condance milk. It’s only coconut milk and gula Melaka for the authenticity of Cendol.
Murtabak Mini Gua Musang? Hmmm never try eventho i'm from Kelantan...i'm from another district in Kelantan...maybe i should go to G.Musang or to this guys stall in KL to try it 😂
