Lancet seems to be working fine, but Russia's drone game otherwise has seemed really weak here.

It would be real nice of you to add a link to each of their channels and writing in the description and/or a pinned comment. Thank you.
For me it's all about the children. Never forget all of the Russians who abused children and their families in Ukraine. From the mass graves (in Izium) to the stolen children. Now if Ukrainian parents don't become Russian citizens and go to fight against their brothers and cousins Russia will take their newborn children at birth. How many children are now sex slaves? They cannot be allowed to win.
Speaking of Izium. What did those 414 people see? The Russians thought it was better to murder them and bury them all in a mass grave instead of letting them testify. Whatever they saw must have been truly horrific. At minimum I'm guessing rape and torture. With an average of 150 war crimes per day who knows what they did.
If Russia wants to sign a treaty they must first prove they will stand by one. If Russia or Putin wants to negotiate, start with your original written agreement. Putin on January 28, 2003 signed the border agreement. He's signed several agreements he doesn't honor. Pull back all of their troops back behind their original border and then you can start negotiations. If they don't show they will honor the original agreement how can you expect them to honor any further agreements.
It's our war to lose. Russia canNOT win. Unless we choose to not support Ukraine of course. It is on us in the global West to pick the world we want to live in. Choose wisely. Thanks.
Glory to Ukraine. God Bless Ukraine and her people. 🇺🇦🇺🇸

I have some idea about the war crimes because the soldiers bragged about them online. One of the crimes was against infants at the beginning of the war and let´s just say it´s one of the reasons I´m relieved Ukraine is able to fight back. Later, a tough guy who writes reports about Ukraine in my country said he accidentally started playing a video of a Ru**ian war crime, he nearly threw up and couldn´t sleep properly for three months. Just from several seconds of a video. There´s no way I´m traumatizing other people with it. It was October 7th in Israel level.

Since Medvedev talks about taking other territories then Ukraine should do the same.

This area is better than further north on the boarder where defenses is weaker.
It cuts off the railways, E38 road, and E105 road.
The mining and industry in the area is a relatively big part of the total russian in some areas.
That’s also why the nuclear powerplant is interesting as it supplies that production.
Besides that it might be possible to threaten the russian forces in Kharkiv with these risk of getting out flanked.
This forces russia do spend huge resources on protecting key areas and trying to kick Ukraine out.
This is a perfect opportunity for Ukraine to use their Western vehicles and trained soldiers, that are many levels above the russians best when it comes to maneuver warfare.
They can’t really get the full benefit from this inside Ukraine as there are defenses and minefields all over the place, that makes movement slow and dangerous.

The 'Europeans are uncomfortable, and never wanted Ukraine to win' is pure projection. It perfectly describes the European view of Washington's attitude and behaviour.

I agree that this motivation is pure speculation on Luke's part. However, the counterpoint would be that Germany, for example, certainly hasn't been doing as much as it could to assist Ukraine and their reasoning hasn't been clarified. Donation of Taurus missiles are just one example: Ukraine already has obtained similar deep strike capabilities in the form of SCALP/Stormshadow so there are really no new broken prohibitions or risk of escalation at play. So in truth, what is Olaf's thought process behind this decision? It could be that he doesn't want Ukraine to win, it could be that he fears an embittered Russia, or perhaps it's something else altogether.

And it´s doing its duty on NATO´s Eastern flank (Lithuania) the best of all countries tasked with helping there. So it probably has something to do with the manufacturer of Taurus - they fear reverse engineering by Ru**ia or something.

(comparing to Kharkiv let’s say ) but at the same time I know USSR moved in a lot of ethically Russian military families there sometime in history.. but being form Kharkiv I just assumed it gets even more Russian Russian as you leave sumy and go anywhere north or into Russia from there .. just really really left field and unexpected for someone that never been to that region and I guess haven’t met enough people from there

All logistics for the so-called Russian SMO are focused on supplying and supporting the Russian army in Ukraine. There are only untrained conscripts, Chechens TikTok warriors and some FSB formations present in Russia.
It would be incredibly audacious, breathtaking risky, incredibly bowl but if the Ukrainian army moved rapidly towards Moscow even Putin would be forced to sue for peace.ukraine has conducted a major offensive in august before.

Honestly Harris will eventually want negotiations just on better terms so they are screwed there as well. Russia could ask for more but they will do that anyways. Atleast now theycantake the fight to Russia and force RUssia to not dump everything into UA. Sure they may not have to lose forces in Donbas but now they are gonna have to place troops all across the front. RU pinned a lot of UA forces on the border with belarus. Now why wouldnt those foces attack? RU doesnt know they wont. UA changing the game puts a lot more pressure on RU than it does UA. At a very basic commons sense level one finds it difficult to understand why the restrictions have not been taken off.
Does the West actually want Ukraine to have any chance of winning, or do they want them to bleed out bit by bit and give up what they have achieved to date.
Russia, or more to the point putin should not have a say in western politics, it appears he very much is at present, open threats inducing self imposed red lines.
A pretty week and pathetic response as I see it.

The European Union immediately gave green light. The U.S. and Germany have allowed weapons they donated to be used at least some distance from the Ru**ian border. So I don´t know why you´re making it about the whole West. Plus, some countries have not lifted their restrictions because they have never imposed any (Denmark, Finland, Czechia, the Baltics and others).

Understandable move from Ukraine - A Great motivational and PR stunt . The bear will be poked and might wake up really grumpy but that’s ok…… Just hoping this all leads to the civilians in both countries demanding for ceasefire and peace negotiations .

Ukraine knows it cannot take Moscow but Moscow knows it made a big mistake trying to take Kyiv. Stalin tried to starve Ukraine to death but Ukraine lives.

Lol. This is not invasion but response. I don't think Ukrainians want to capture Moscow. Capturing good amount of territory is more than enough to politically embarrass Putin. That is the goal here.

Looks like an act of desperation to me. These troops are much more needed in the Donbas where the Ukrainians are under severe pressure. Let's hope that front doesn't collapse because of this gamble.

Not at all, why attack where enemy is strongest and slug it out against a more numerical opponent. Instead sow chaos in rear areas, cut supply lines, keep the enemy guessing, keep them moving from a to b to c, create dilemmas, increase negotiating position just to name a few. Read the indirect approach, Basil Liddel Hart

@@hihosilveraway59 If it works. So far, most losses to the Russians were inflicted in the Donbas, at about a 1:4 casualty ratio, or more. Defending is always less costly than attacking.

This must have been planned several months, doesn´t seem entirely like an act of desperation to me. Although it´s close to it. It´s quite efficient for an act of desperation, though. Two or three columns destroyed already, including some Wagner warriors. There´ve been rumours some Wagner troops might be called from Africa. That would help some African countries significantly and might even change some political landscapes there.
