Another aspect to twitch that is rarely discussed is make connections with other streamers. Small or big doesnt matter. Go into other chats, interact with people and build connections with people who have similar goals to you as well. Focusing on your content and building yourself is one thing, but forming connections with others as well can help you.
This is VERY underrated, I’ve cheered 5-10 bits in a few different streamers channels and it actually goes a long way in forming strong connections with them 💯
This. On my first day of streaming, I instantly got 200 viewers from raids. From that 200, I got 20 followers. I mod for a couple of streamers, and they were the ones who raided me. Simply put, make friends, make connections.
Safe to say I started with 0 and now have like 10 people in chat now but I still wanna grow love y’all and stay up y’all never give up and stay consistent
today I went live for the first time in 7 months. A few people came in and I was surprised to see them talking. We both made each others day. If you want to quit streaming, dont give up. Its 100% worth it..
@@urfavpolishboy9186 thank you man but I haven't streamed in awhile so ill prob get back into it but i only like doing it on twitch but i'll be a happy camper if there was atleast 10 people watching im fine with that but hey thanks man your videos are very helpful and like i have said before thank you very much and have a great day man.
I understand how you’re feeling, many of us go through the same thing when we first start off streaming. But as long as you keep putting in the effort, you’ll eventually be rewarded :)
Im a tiny streamer, I have 3 regulars that are consistently there. I always have a good time and eventually I learnt that you can turn off your viewer count. It's helped me to stay positive and consistent with my mood. Just try and entertain people!!!
This video is the most complete guide for new twitch streamers, since it makes a compilation of all the great tips other content creators share! I would also add two words that all streamers should always be thinking about when going live: patience and planning. Streaming, as you said it, is not about hitting the "go live" button and waiting for people to watch you. It is about planning your content FOR your viewers, so they have a reason to watch you regularly instead of another streamer. It's also about patience, because, since youtube and twitch are linked, growing on youtube takes patience and consistency. Ludwig and Harris Heller were talking about the process of planning content for live streams, and they said it's normal to plan for hours what type of content they have. Anyway, thank you for the tips and for the great video, as usual! Have a great sunday, man!
Yes! So much all of this. I hope more people realize to shift focus from playing games to creating content, but it's not easy. It's something even I'm working on.
Man I’ve been looking everywhere for tips. Seems like I’m doing it all. Going to try streaming less saturated games, but I’ve hopped around valorant, overwatch, rocket league, smite, Minecraft, small games in beta, rust, and I don’t switch every day I’ll give each a chance. I make content on RUclips, tiktok, tweet on Twitter, pay attention to my titles, and I still can’t get regulars. I know everyone is chat focused etc, but I’m also very above average at most games I play. Can give good lessons/info for the games I play, have fun w viewers when they are in my chat, etc. Not sure what else to do, it’s been a dream of mine to be a streamer for a while, and I’ve been streaming for years, finally been on a very consistent schedule for about 2 months(not that I haven’t before), and still nothing. Just small growth or followers that don’t come watch me again. I even network in others streams during work when I have a bit to chat, it seems like the only way to get big is a miracle host or a video going viral on social media where people come to find you
Maybe it’s just not meant to be for me, but everyone always says you can do anything you put your mind to, I just don’t understand what else to do. I see streamers that interact way less than me or are much lower ranked with many regulars, and I try to learn from them to see how they do it. Just doesn’t seem like I can do it and I’m trying to keep hope but like I’m not sure what else to do
I've created a schedule for my channel. Wednesdays between 6-7 pm, timing is apparently very important for steams as well. Definitely going to take your advice as well!
Stream every day at the same time (the time you think about and pick to WANT to stream every day). That's the MOST IMPORTANT part of it. And if you are losing motivation check your stream summary after every stream. You'll realize that the 1-2 viewers you had ghosting you for 5 hours was actually 50 or 60 people sometimes coming in and out of your stream. Once you see that people are clicking on you and you're set in your schedule you can start interacting in more creative ways and finding out what KEEPS people around.
Man Oh Man! Completely Underrated! Two videos in the span of a few hours that just opened up a whole new world for me! You're so in depth and informative! Directly to the point answering the questions I've got without any filler. Purely Educational and incredibly helpful! That's not even mentioning your royalty free playlist. This guy is the one stop spot for all my creator questions and needs!
The first tip is nice however there is one huge problem with this strategy. People that are playing with you might follow your channel but they usually dont watch, even when they come to your stream 95% of them just want to play with you.
Love your points you made man. Totally think it’s important to not shove your stream in your face and the points about trying to build a community, not just gaining more followers/viewers.
Thanks for the tips, I had an aim by the end of the year was to get affiliated and sadly that hasn’t happened. With only a week or two left yet of the year, I don’t think I will hit my aim. But hopefully I find a solution. Also nice content!
idk if you’re still streaming, but with posting on tiktok for a few weeks i started streaming with a solid base (10-15 viewers) my number one tip is to post on tiktok. there is so much organic growth to be had on there.
I just started today was my 4th day streaming and just played it smart I used a popular game with a little bit of streamers today I had 10 consistent viewers and already hit 110 views I’m motivated and going to never stop
My girlfriend started streaming aswell and her average viewers have gone up from 0-10 in not that long and she streams 6 days a week for 4 hours every day and im so proud🥰🥰🥰

It’s hard to try and be motivated cuz like I try obviously like millions of people but like I’ll be 0 to 5 and the 0 which at that point just makes me feel like I ain’t doing good at all
Ive been grinding and im recently at 249 followers and the one thing im struggling with is having viewers to tune in which is expected, tbh I just wanna be known so I can escape my troubles and do what I love, I always say that its impossible or that ill never be/get there but apart of me just wants to keep up the grind, I just hope future me is happy And I hope future you is too and maybe some things arent really impossible just bad thoughts that make it hard on you.
I've been trying to come up with good content ideas rather than just go live following Ludwigs guide as I respect him and have been watching him since he was an 80 viewer smash streamer. I guess it's just really hard to come up with original quality content I can go live and get followers but it's not good content
Has to be a niche or content you actually wanna do. Don’t just do it to get followers because that’s not sustainable. Pick one. Have a personality meaning don’t be so dull and boring. Interact with everyone because you’re a nobody right now so makes no sense to ignore people stopping by to interact with you. Strive for the highest quality content and just stay consistent. I have almost 20k subs on my other channel “Living Proof Filmz”. So I’m confident to say I know a bit about this stuff. I’m in a similar boat though because that channel is based on videography work and now I’m starting a gaming channel. Different beast completely. Good luck. 🍀

I'm starting to stream on my ps4 I wanna talk to be more entertaining but my ps4 sounds like a jet and it will just be annoying for people to listen to
I am beginning to think I am not nearly as entertaining as I thought... is it normal for Streamers to consider quitting multiple times? I mostly play games that are in that sweet spot, I play guitar on stream and have channel points to make me do it, even if I don't want to. Is it my clothes? My lighting? Stream / PC crashes ? Just boring? I mean I do have off days, and I try not to stream when I am like that. Big one. I don't set a schedule, how big of a factor is that?
The biggest factor is if you are creating content on other platforms outside of twitch. Twitch Just is a terrible place to grow. Being entertaining is a skill you can learn if you want to get better at it.
This is another thing you can do, teach others how to grow their content by regurgitating. Nothing said here is useful for real.
