Absolutely gorgeous as always Miriam. It was fascinating to watch this piece emerge and take shape. You have such a unique style that comes from combining the two art forms of painting and quilling that sets your pieces apart. I really like the use of 5mm strips in this one as they cast a shadow giving the flowers and leaves more depth and dimension. And although you essentially only used 3 colours here, your clever use of a slightly different shade of each colour again gives it that extra something. Just lovely Miriam❤😘.
Aww, thank you very much, Orla! 💚 Great to hear your thoughts on it! 😊 I love the combination of these 2 art forms: watercolors and paper quilling, so whenever I get the chance to work with both, I enjoy it. They just seem to complement each other. I'm happy I could finally finish this art project. I've been a little busy lately but anytime I get to finish an artwork there's just that satisfaction that it's now all done! 😊

I love the yellow squiggle flowers and the leaves! I am gonna have to try that sometime but I am not good at painting the floral backgrounds so I have not tried that kind yet where it has the painted background. It looks absolutely lovely though! I agree with the comment before mine that you have helped me improve my quilling. watching you has really opened my eyes to a lot of things I would not have thought of on my own. Thank you!
