I own another disrespected car (Cobalt SS) so I am fuuuullllly into your plan for doing this thing up again. I love it when these 'disrespected' cars get some love from the owners and are turned into works of art. It's much more satisfying to do up a car people trash on and make it worth drooling over than just buying something everyone thinks is cool and doing not much with it.
These builds mean the most to me. I love how you're continuing to build upon your project in your Father's memory. I'm devoting my JZX100 Chaser build to my father who past away January 14th, 2017.
I've had a picture of this car as a background on my phone back in the day and always say the pictures and was drooling over it so glad I seen this video, my first car was a 1998 neon sport 5 speed and had 4 others since then never has a srt 4 and this car made me realize and more confident that it don't have to be a srt4 to be awesome this car is the ultimate of individual tastes 👍

Yeah... in '03 I had a '99 Neon sport coupe. I had done the exhaust from the header back (pacesetter header) (Flowmaster cat-back). Cold air intake by AEM. 17 inch rims with slotted rotors. And new head and taillights. Had her for 8 years and (3) 420A engines. Damn good memories were made in my Neon.

Excited to see where it goes! It's a .55 a/r bullseye housing actually. Keeps the 2.0 much more lively when you're not trying to squeeze every little bit of power on the big end.

I've owned my 02 neon since 03 and put an srt4 motor and trans in it over the years. I'm planning to build mine 1 of these days as well... Good luck on the Build 👍🏽
Love the plans for the build. If you can't find a good SRT4 around, you could always find a PT Cruiser GT. You'll still need some doner parts from an SRT, but those motors are typically less abused.
@Green Bastard no such thing as a "nice" 4 cylinder " you get a 4 cylinder because you can't afford a bigger motor or the gas or the insurance. And yes it is a lightweight car so it would be awesome with the hellcat motor people have already swapped them into miatas and stuff
I like your concept, it was also great gaining a little insight into the story of the car and you as a person. I might do a rough render with your plans, hit you up somehow when it's done.
I can’t wait for these videos! I’ve owned 5 1g neons. I currently own a white ‘96 ACR coupe and a “rat rodded” ‘98 Highline sedan affectionately called the Sh*tbox. I just swapped a n/a 2.4 that’s bored .040 over, decked .010, Crane 10’s with a Mopar ecu into the Sh*tbox.

HALCYON it was stage 2! Bigger injectors, bigger front mount ic, full exhaust, agp wastegate, stage 2 ecu. Cold air intake, bc coils, and Rota wheels. It was a badass car man. I loved that car and miss it! They sound amazing! And it was orange blast. 🔥

i really like the '02 front end swap with the eye lids and lip. I had a 2001 Chrysler Neon R/T and the thing i remember most was the intake manifold "flaps" opening up around 5000rpm. An SRT-4 swap would fit right in there and are super easy and cheap to find spare engines for since the Turbo model PT Cruiser and PT Cruiser GT had the exact same engine. I've been thinking about swapping my 1998 Neon R/T coupe but i like the high revving 7800RPM intake sound of the 2.0L DOHC with the Mopar ECU and Iceman intake
