9:59 if you mix a bit of that with milk and sugar, and put it into a plastic bag like they did, and put it into the fridge until it gets frozen, you can drink it. That's how it's is done in latam. When the presentation I thought it was de mix with milk and sugar, instead of the pure coconut milk for cooking.

Coconut juice is for drinking while the coconut milk serves as cream for cooking. Also, don’t judge the spotty saba bananas. Their skin are thicker and what’s inside is fine and are the ones used for turon, banana cue or for boiled bananas.

The banana that you have tasted "saba" is for cooking, the coconut you wanted to drink is a coconut milk intended for ccoking as well. You go to a decent bar or restaurant if you want to sit and drink beer. San Miguel Pale Pilsen is the #1 beer in the Philippines. Ask questions should you want to maximize your time in the Philippines and you can see and experience what each place in the Philippines can offer. MABUHAY!

Funny. Coconut is versatile. Juice from a freshly opened young/green coconut is refreshing and sweet. The meat of the young coconut after you finish off the juice is a nice tasty treat as well. Young coconut is called 'buko." Thus you can ask for buko juice. Mature/brown coconuts are typically used for cooking. The juice from a mature coconut is tart so not very palatable. It is fermented into coconut wine or vinegar. Mature coconut meat is grated for cooking, and coconut milk can be extracted from it. Raw coconut milk is not usually taken unless cooked as the very high fat content tends to cause digestion issue. But cooked, it can be used to make oil or a soup base or dessert base. A mature coconut is called 'niyog'. Dried coconut shells make good fire starters and are used for fire stoves.
