Harry, I want to tell you a story. I seen this video. Couple months later I took my first trip to the Philippines. When I was there, I went to eat at a restaurant and afterwards, I too tipped the female waitress 5000 pesos. She actually started crying. She said that she just started working part time there because she was poor and needed the money. She was in training. She also said that my tip was more than her monthly pay. The feeling of helping someone out was awesome. To top it off when I left, the employees started thanking me for tipping her. Good job Harry

I LOVE Filipino people and their culture. They are very good natured people and always friendly and smiling. When i was there, i had the best time of my life and they made me feel so welcomed, no matter where I ventured to. I strongly recommend visiting there for a vacation. I personally liked going into the provinces where the real everyday lives of Filipino people were on display in real time. It was just an amazing experience.

I just returned from the Philippines. I’ve been going there since the mid-1970’s. Been married to a Filipina for 43 years. Lovely people. 5k php (about $100 usd) is a lot of money for an average Filipino as the minimum wage there is about 500 php per day.
You know the people are wonderful and the owners are kind when they make the foods and drinks and trust you to finish and come back and pay, without even asking a question.

Appreciate you giving 5,000 to each person. That's a very generous amount. I'm Filipino myself and lived in the Philippines for about 2 years and remember that each time I took out a 1,000 peso bill, it felt like a lot of money to me. Even though it was only around 25 Australian dollars at the time. I guess it's because I only withdraw a max of 4,000 pesos each time I go to the ATM. So as I keep using up those 1,000 peso bills and going back to the ATM, it feels like I'm spending a lot lol. And the international ATM fees add up too.

I always have a warm feeling when I see how nice and hospitable Filipinos are, and especially how clean they are, even all those street vendors are very hygienic, and for example that waffle shop, there was not a single stain, they are so clean, I'm really impressed!

In Manila, don’t be surprised cause many tourists visit, and no other country speaks Tagalog. In Cambodia, I was in Phnom Penh, and most of the locals were fluent in English. In Vietnam, I was in Ho Chi Minh City, and almost all were fluent in English. Vietnam and Phillipines share English characters, so for them, English is easy to pick up.

Appreciate you giving 5,000 to each person. That's a very generous amount. I'm Filipino myself and lived in the Philippines for about 2 years and remember that each time I took out a 1,000 peso bill, it felt like a lot of money to me. Even though it was only around 25 Australian dollars at the time. I guess it's because I only withdraw a max of 4,000 pesos each time I go to the ATM. So as I keep using up those 1,000 peso bills and going back to the ATM, it feels like I'm spending a lot lol. And the international ATM fees add up too.

I always have a warm feeling when I see how nice and hospitable Filipinos are, and especially how clean they are, even all those street vendors are very hygienic, and for example that waffle shop, there was not a single stain, they are so clean, I'm really impressed!

In Manila, don’t be surprised cause many tourists visit, and no other country speaks Tagalog.
In Cambodia, I was in Phnom Penh, and most of the locals were fluent in English.
In Vietnam, I was in Ho Chi Minh City, and almost all were fluent in English.
Vietnam and Phillipines share English characters, so for them, English is easy to pick up.
