They act like a tanker on any I have hauled. Large paper rolls or paper at all is very stiff and if you do not have good balance with speed and handling it will walk in the lane and push you out in any curvy road
Well done "Gun Slinger " You all better put a little meat on the new greenhorn, he can sure use it. Looking forward to seeing your new ride Keep 'em coming..
Semi truck falls 30-feet off I-40 near Flagstaff, leaving 2 in the hospital The semi left the westbound lane of Interstate 40 and went over a 30-foot embankment to land on Naval Observatory Road. The two occupants have been hospitalized. Author: John Tanet Published: 8:12 AM MST July 28, 2023 Updated: 8:12 AM MST July 28, 2023 FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Two people are in the hospital after the semi-truck they were in plummeted 30 feet off the highway, Ponderosa Fire Department officials said on Facebook. The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning near the Interstate 40 overpass at Naval Observatory Road. The semi drove off the westbound lane and crashed over a 30-foot embankment before coming to rest on the roadway below. Both occupants were hospitalized, one with "extensive injuries," the department said. The semi was carrying large rolls of paper. Naval Observatory Road will be closed for an extended period of time. The Flagstaff Fire Department helped with handling the crash. The cause of the crash is unknown, and it's unclear if impairment or speed are suspected factors.
That driver scratched every corner on that bad Larry. I’m just amazed at how many impressive things these guys can do with these Cascadias. Thanks for sharing!
@@martycarlson4503 I’ve never drove one, but they seem to be all the rage with these kids. I think they come with color matching flip flops from the factory.
That must of been one hell of a ride! Glad the driver made it out alive. Great recovery as always Murphy's crew. Rick I hope you are kidding about shaving the beard. Who else we going to rely on for a majestic beard blowing in the wind?? Hot Rod?? 🤣😉 Stay classy everyone.
Thanks Michael, I was kidding, I can’t shave it, I’d loose all my ability, credibility, mojo, respect, capability, potentiality, crews, majestability, dog, ect…
Rick don't listen to those fools, they are just jealous of your physique! Your living your best life buddy. Great recovery as usual, reminds me of that video a few months back with the airborn cascadia hauling all that beef. That was one of my favorite videos, both drivers are Very lucky to be alive!
Rick the new guy needs to watch everyone .else and maybe he will catch on to what he needs to do. As always the crew did a good job. Rick working for you would be a dream job for me because theirs never a dull moment

Good evening, laugh better good morning. Very nice video from you. A lot of work and not without danger, luckily the driver survived the freak accident. Take good care of yourselves. Good luck. Greetings from Frankfurt
Yeah what a great Recovery! Looked like back doors were still sealed! The paper rolls determined where this mess would end up simply by gravity! Both truck & trailer are trashed! Unbelievable that driver made it out on a gurney! Even more unbelievable that wife made it out & was walking around? And she was in the bunk. She must have been strapped in with the netting! Usually the person in bunk is the 1st to go! Look at how the cab is twisted off the frame! Clearly it wasn't either's time to go! Wow! Thanks for vid!
Hell of a mess! Lucky man / driver. Great job cleaning up all that stuff. Crazy wreck. I don’t see WR in a 3 pc suit. But he can do what ever he wants!! Thanks for good video!! 👉🏻😎
I have a deep love for truck drivers, and I really don’t like to see them go through that it really saddens my heart because that type of job is not a easy job. It’s the men and women get behind the wheel of those trucks that keep us going without them. We have nothing I sympathize with that person because by golly I don’t wish that upon anybody especially a truck driver, and I have a Lotta love for the men and women who drive those wreckers because you put your life on the line as well to go rescue people that in itself is a very dangerous job. My heart goes out to all of you.
It looks like the driver thought he had wings! Must of drank a redbull! LOL! SO GLAD DRIVER IS GONNA BE OK. Not much left of truck & trailer. U guys did an awesome job. That's exciting a new rotate! Can't wait to see it. Be careful in the sky & driving back WRECKER RICK & Heavy T. BE SAFE
Coming from a guy who used to work for a printing company, those were NOT big rolls of paper. They appeared to be maybe 33" x 50" diameter and I've handled rolls that were 125" x 50" diameter. Just saying, but at the same time hats off for an amazing recovery!
6:32 Look at that splash of diesel on the trailer. Glad there was no fire. Imagine if that was gasoline! Hope the husband and wife survive the trauma..
That was an amazing recovery! I've watched quite a few from different recovery companies and I think this is one of the worst wrecks I've seen. Just glad the couple will be OK. Wondering where in Arizona this happened. I lived in the Phoenix/Mesa area for several years.
Holy Flying Cascadia! Buenos Freaking Dias Rick. Wow ! The sheer amount of equipment you dudes have is impressive! That coupled with your applied knowledge and common sense turns a chaotic wreck into " just another day at the outdoor office" ! That was certainly a lucky driver but I can’t believe how mangled the truck and trailer was and the mess to clean up!!!! You really think it’s gonna be on the road again I thought it was headed for the scrap yard 😂!!!!

Wife was sleeping, that is a hell of a way to wake up. I didn't think a Cascadia could hold together enough for survivors. I have worked on them, and they seem to fall apart without crashing. There is a lot of them hauling freight 7 days a week though.
I've had a CDL A since 1996. That paper weighs a lot, but the rolls are low and stable. Tall rolls are less stable. Trucking is an easy job, regardless of what people say. Staying focused and well-rested is key to being safe. Micro-sleeps can happen when fatigued, and the driver may not be aware of it. Losing consciousness at highway speed is serious. Looking at your phone, texting, adjusting the stereo, and eating while driving are also major issues.
Nice job on the recovery, on another note I needed another sawzall, was at home depot looking at the Milwaukee saws and a gentleman came up to me and started chatting, I think he wanted to break it to me easy, he tells me that Milwaukee sold out and isn't an American owned company any longer. I had heard this and was shocked! Went home (didn't buy the saw) and got on the internet and what he said is true, Milwaukee is now owned by a company in Hong Kong, some tools are still made here though
Wow that was quite the recovery. One thing that would be interesting is what happens now video. Does all this debris go back to the yard and wait for insurance adjuster? Do you get paid right away or do you have to wait
Well, I know you had an M100 on order and they were building it when you picked up that new twin steer rotator last year so I'm guessing that's what the new truck is. Looking forward to seeing those videos!
I think it's another 1150, in a previous comment asking if the current 1150 was gonna get aux winches he replied that the new 1150 was coming with aux winches. Also I'm pretty sure he said the M100 was 18 months out in a video from the Fall last year
