    I upgraded from CX 65" to 77" G4 recently. Also first time to wallmount, the hardest part was carrying the TV upstairs where the living room was and then lifting the TV to the wall(two persons) after that everything else went smooth. Wall bracket is amazing. This TV is super bright. In games I had to calibrate it to 1000 nits in hgig mode on PC because the highlights really pop already at 1000 nits. But this TV can do 1500 nits and over 2000 nits in dynamic tone mapping. Also colors really pop as well in both movies and games.

      Currently considering upgrading from an old 65" LG OLED to the 77" G4 - and I'm definitely not gonna carry that thing, fortunately the local dealer will hang it on the wall for me if I order there.

    Had my 83 G4 on the wall for a few days now, love it
    Here in Australia LG include a ~700x150x4mm metal plate to attach the folding mount to as our stud spacing is usually wider (~450) than the ~400mm mount, means it doesn't sit quite flush with the wall but feels much safer than one stud, I understand you're a pro and probably insured but I wouldn't trust only plaster to hold my $10K TV
    We also get both desk/table stand and the wall mount with the G4's

    • @oslotvmontering
      @oslotvmontering  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi. A great TV. I would love to see that plate! Didn't know it existed. My insurance covers everything that could happened. After mounting thousands of TVs I have learned everything about walls also. But I do not recommend any TV on plaster alone , unless you have done that kind of mounting many times before. Lot of things can go wrong.

      I’m in Australia and got the 83” G4 also, was a hell of a sale they had on!
      I had the same problem as you re stud location, but wanted it flush I had to cut into the wall and add some extra studs.
      End up putting a picture frame around the whole thing. Looks clean.
      What an awesome TV!

    I live in Finland and can only get Toggler Snaptoggle. I’m not sure whether to go with M5 or M6 since I have to order a minimum batch of 20 pieces. I don’t have the TV at home yet, but I want everything to be prepared before mounting it. The wall is a simple 10-12mm thick "gipsvägg" (drywall), though I’m not entirely sure of the exact thickness. Hi There, I'm looking into getting the 65' G4, however, the wall mount version is out of stock, and only the stand version is available (in the UK through LG website). Could you please recommend alternative wall mount? I know it looks super slim and smart when it's with the orginal one, however, we have our dining table on the site, and we would like to be able to rotate the TV towards it, which will be I would say 30-45 degrees rotation, which I don't think the normal mount covers anyway.

    Hey Oslo, Do you think its fine to place the LG 77 on a swivel wall mount - I had the company say only to fix it it flush to the wall. Id prefer to use a Dream Mount swivel wall mount and have the flexibility. They say its best to leave it flush so your not potentially moving the OLED TV and damaging the screen. cheers

      @oslotvmontering  2 месяца назад

      Hi. I have done that before, so no worries, but if you want it to look good on the wall you should use a thin wall mount for this mounting. This is the one I use every time for this, only 4 cm thick behind the TV: www.vogels.com/en/c/tvm-5845-full-motion-tv-wall-mount

    We have acoustic wood paneling on the wall, and concrete wall underneath. Do you think there will be any issues getting the tv mounted correctly and safely since the paneling has wood and fabric backing? Contemplating if I should ask the company mounting the tv to maybe saw and cut wall paneling off right where the mount will go and add some plywood to get the mount as far out from the wall as the wood paneling goes before installing it...

      Im in the 🇬🇧 and use a BT (British Telecom) 4k Pro box (but only has one 4k HDR channel for football 😅
      It has approximately 160 channels available plus apps. Half of them are 720p rest HD.
      I have increased the sharpness to 50 max available (had to, otherwise picture not sharp enough)
      That could be my eyes though (don't use glasses for TV viewing btw) other users might not agree with my settings but works for me. I use Filmmaker mode and tweak colour to 60 from 50.
      The picture for 720p and HD is superb........4k, 4k HDR is absolutely incredible. But best picture by far is Dolby vision and there's a lot of DV available from Netflix, Disney etc. This picture mode is if the scale. Motion is incredible too, best I've EVER seen and I've had TV and cinema as my hobby since I was 15 and I'm 62 now.

      This tv sits so close to the wall, there is almost no tear away force. It is all straight down. The tv is not that heavy. Finally, there are more than enough spaces to add more fasteners if you desire.....

    Did you go into a wood stud or metal stud? If you are using just the drywall how come the weight doesn't just rip the drywall out of the wall? It was an excellent and truly beneficial video. You are excellent mechanic.

      Hi. Thanks. No studs were used in this video. The force of the tv is downwards so as long as you use the correct plugs it will not fall down. I use the most expensive ones on the market, they are great for this kind of job.

    Ich würde einen 83er niemals mit NUR mit 5 Schrauben/Dübeln an einer RIGIPS-Wand befestigen. Die Kräfte bei ausgeklappter Wandhalterung sind an den oberen 3 Schraublöchern enorm und der 83'er wiegt laut Datenblatt 40 kg!?
