@@jakubk5354, no. Scot after lat-bar pushdowns that he does a lot of close-grip work and benches with boards. He mentions he does no speed work because of a joint injury.
Keep in mind bench shirts didn't do that much back then. Ryan did 680 lbs raw in another video and it still moved explosively. He definitely had the strength to hit around 750 lbs raw at some point throughout his carrer which is crazy considering he was competing in the 308 weightclass if I'm not wrong. Julius weighs 440+ lbs so open weightclass.
@@anthonycaruso6065 ya it's unreal how strong everyone is these days. 20 years ago I would've thought their numbers would be impossible. You do realize Scot did 745 in the gym raw before his car accident and Ryan easily did 680 raw with hardly doing any raw training for a max. Both these guys would be right up with Julius if there was an emphasis on raw in that era
That whole Josh Bryant training at the end of this video was very odd, he’s trying to bench 600lbs when he can barely get 500 Ibs?? 🤷♂️ The guy spotting him is basically dead lifting it off his chest. At least the spotter got some good dead lifting work/ back work in?? 🤷♂️🥴
Wish we still had powerlifting USA
J Kong same here. That one magazine held Powerlifting together for many years.
@@LexingtonPlummer Very true. Young lifters today have no idea.
@@LexingtonPlummer Did I understand correctly Scot said after showing tricep extension that he was doing speed bench then?

@@LexingtonPlummer Thanks for the answer. I wonder if then he also bench presses twice a week as in later years of his career
Love seeing him help out the younger guys, says a lot about Mr.Kennelly
Ryan kennelly is just so smooth and chilling with his words
Ryans videos where like crack back than, what a time we live in 800 back than in a shirt was crazy and know julius is doing it raw
Livestronger and Josh seems to be training them all. Julius and now Shaw

I'm surprised Scot could even fit through a doorway. Massive human being.
390 at his heaviest.
Love seeing Josh Bryant in his fatter days
You loved seeing him when he was a fat slob? You got a thing for fat guys boy? 🤷♂️
@@harryangel4822 no one else would have thought of that, you should ask yourself some questions
Gas Station Ready !!!
Love old school Kennelly.
Josh Bryant the coach of Julius Maddox Raw Bench WR 744.1 You can see same technique he used himself.
Since when is he his coach?
heavyC like forever, last two years at least
He trains Brian Shaw for bench now also.

When you weigh 450 lbs you don't need technique lol gives you a better leverage advantage at that weight.
AWESOME upload! Thank you!
Yes! Thank you!
24:05 that cought me so off-guard xD
The small guy's elbow position makes my shoulders hurt
That’s some serious lifting by any standards
Wow great stuff!!!!

Overloading with 865. Youngest at 20 w/600. His methods proved.
Great stuff!

I would have loved to.see this guy in today's era. Idk how but everyone these days is on another planet
The guy that now has the current raw world record is trained by the last guy on the video Josh Bryant..lol but you might already know that
@@dlo5640 just comparing lifters from different times. Like comparing Ovechkin to Gretzky. Two different eras but both great

Thank you so much for this Great vid.👍🏻
Thanks for this
It’s weird seeing Scott walking around healthily. I think that car crash really fucked him up. He’s a walking disaster these days.
Is Meowman in this?
StrayStrength650 no, but he should have been!
imagine a vid of him and lenny at this time period lol
and a tan ten 10
It would be pissening
God damn I thought Scott had a neck brace on there. Nope, just thick as fuck.
I lifted 150 kg for biceps can you?

You really think your satan pfp is cool
Yeah very odd but he was the youngest Dude who benched 600 in comp in that era
A shirted bench means absolutely nothing 😂😂
Neither does your opinion. 😂
Scott doesn’t even bench like this no more...the bar doesn’t even touch with 500 or less lol. And he brings it to his belly these days
