The RGB Famiclone from RetroCastle is an updated version. His previous version was VGA and is about a decade old, so if he cloned the NESRGB then I believe he did it a long time ago. I hope people aren’t jumping to conclusions here. I mean, using an FPGA to make a digital version of the PPU to generate analog RGB or HDMI from is the way Analogue, Krikzz, BunnyBoy, and Kevtris do it too.
Hi, that is not a clone of nesrgb kit. It is a fpga ppu installed into the re-design of famicom pcb with more input and output ports and some new functions. The product has been on sale more than 3 years and still on development with new improvement.
Oh no! Competition! lol (Also, he's had a version of this for many many years. Updating it isn't copying or cloning, it's just a natural iteration of his own product). ;)
I sort of wish that Felix would get the VERY EXPENSIVE Xport that I bought working for my FZ-10 before moving on to this FM Towns marty product. For those of us with a 1 chip anvil 3DO the Xport works, but only with some work arounds. That being said the Xport hardware is great and I'm sure the FM Towns Marty ODE will be great.
I will be featuring a clear resin print from PCBWay in the next (hopefully final) video in the series, but I also have an SLS nylon shell that I can compare to. Too early for me to make a recommendation

Doing the lords work as usual
Retrorgb did a video on this RGB Famicom I wish he would chime in on it.
thank you for these new episodes. been loving them lately.
Really hoping to see more of that dreamcast mod soon!

Thanks for another "Retro Modding News" Dubes!
TOTALLY AGREED on the need for an RGB Famicom board. I'd love to buy one. Worthington has had a monopoly on that market for too long imo.
cam across your channel a few days ago. Good stuff!
Looking forward to more Ashida Wii videos. Inspired to build my own. Any recommendations on the 3d printed shell?

I know this has nothing to do with the video, but is there any news about a sega saturn hdmi mod coming in the pipeline?
I have not heard anything about a Saturn HDMI mod, sorry
@Dubesinhower aww, ok... but thank you for the reply anyways ^_^
What’s redherring up to? No good, what else?!
