Are there places to wait inside after baggage claim? Preferably where you won’t get bombarded by the timeshare sellers? We have to wait an hour for our family on a connecting flight before taking our pre-arranged ride to the hotel. Thanks!
Thanks. Cabo Airport has only some bars at the arrival areas. We can have a few drinks while waiting there. I have been to many international airports that have many restaurants at the arrival areas. I did not see much at Cabo Airport ⛱️🏖️
Thanks. It is convenient but more expensive. It is cheaper to ride the city bus on the Domestic Terminal - Ruta Del Desierto for about $5. We can also ride the group van outside the International Terminal Arrivals for about $18🏝🏖
It depends if you like convenience, time-saving, hassle-free travel or you like to save money. If you like hassle-free travel, you can make reservation airport pickup with your hotel resort who will wait outside arrivals with your name like a VIP for roundtrip. Second, you can get an airport taxi for about $40 after arrival to your hotel. Third, you can get a carpool van ride outside arrival for about $20 plus round trip. Fourth, you can walk over to the domestic terminal about 10 minutes, there is a airport bus Ruta De Desierto for about $4 with numerous stops from the airport to Centro Cabos and vice versa. I heard there is also Uber apps available there. Enjoy 🏖 🏝
This is why I pay the money for a private driver to take me and my family straight to the resort from the airport. I am not waiting around and I am not signing up for a timeshare tour.
Thanks. It is convenient for a group travel to rent a private taxi. There are also group vans available for solo travelers on a small budget for about a third of the private taxi prices. Public buses are also available for about $4 per person on the other terminal 😀 ⛱️
Cabo San Lucas Airport is a large international airport. I think they do have duty free shops after security check-in at the airport there ⛱️🏖️ ruclips.net/video/Spma23ns9zk/видео.html
Hi there can I just ask.Where the people are waiting outside the airport,is this the meeting point for the buses to go to the hotels that you stay at or do you have to organize a mini bus.Thank you.
There are different ways to go to your hotel from Cabo Airport, friend. The taxi is faster but is most expensive like $40 or $50. The van shuttle is less expensive like $20, but the van only leaves when it is full. They are right outside the International Arrivals on the right as you walk outside. The city bus Ruta Del Desierto is the cheapest way like $5, and I think it departs the airport every hour. I think it is a few minutes to the left of the Airport International Arrivals on the Domestic Terminal as you walk outside. It is also the same bus from Downtown Centro Cabo to Cabos Airport🏝️🏖️
Thank you for your reply and info. Can I just ask for the currency is it best to use dollar or the Mexican peso. It’s just to know as for what money to take.I am from England. Thanks again my friend.
You are welcome, friend. It is best to bring your British Pounds or Euros or U.S Dollars with you. Then exchange your money at the airport to Mexican Pesos. I found out the ATMs in Mexico charge a high fee to withdraw money with a small amount of cash. There are few money exchanges in Cabo City with a lot of paperwork involved like a requirement of a physical passport. I do not prefer to carry my passport around for safety. Most businesses in Cabos do also accept U..S. Dollars for goods and services 🏖️🏝️
@Robbo Gsy.. it's best to book the transfer shuttle in the beginning when you book your hotel to and from your resort. We did that for the PV trip in May '14 to avoid this kind of mess asking around to get to your resort. That way when you arrive they will have your last name on a card and you get to share the shuttle with the other passengers that's arriving at the same resort. They'll pick you up again the day of your departure. We've already booked our tickets and transfer when we booked our resort for September 2022 Labor Day weekend. If you don't book ahead of time, you might have to pay close to a hefty fee to and from the resort not guarantee there will be one available when you have to leave Mexico. It's hassle free. I hope this helps.
@@kellyrios8179 Thanks. That is a great idea for hassle-free travel. I did try booking the rides thru the hotels in other cities before. It is very convenient to have a greeter at the airport arrivals area waiting for you with your name on the big sign as a VIP⛱️🏖️
Thanks. If we have no checked baggage, we can go straight to Immigration, then thru Customs to International Arrivals and taxis outside. Welcome to Mexico ⛱️😀
Los Cabos is a destination made for millionaires and people who can pay in dollars, don’t expect is cheaper because is Mexico, is even more expensive that some cities in the states
It is true for the all inclusive resorts. There are cheap rooms in Centro Cabos smaller hotels, inns and airbnbs. There are always cheap deals on flights and hotels if we travel on off-peak seasons and days 🏝🏖
Nope lol. They get millions of tourists a year and I assure you they're not all millionaires. Stay in an Airbnb and shop like the locals. Everything has to brought over from the mainland (like) Hawaii. Things are a bit more expensive but not much.
Thanks. Hawaii is probably more expensive than Mexico. Only rich people may afford to visit Hawaii. We may get an affordable hotel for about $30 or $40 in Mexico or a meal for about $5 in Mexico but not in Hawaii with an average daily hotel room from about $300 to $400. Mexico is a developing country. The United States is a developed country among the most expensive countries in the world including Hawaii and New York 😄😀

You have to make arrangements with your hotel for the shuttle PRIOR to your arrival.

Our hotel, Marina Fiesta has the shuttle service for $25 US. @@TravelFunAsiaPlus
That is a great price. Private taxis or Uber taxis are usually about $50 or more 😁😀
@@TravelFunAsiaPlusI cant imagine wasting all that time to save $35

what's it like in mexico, are the people friendly, do they speak good english
In the big resort cities, they speak fair English. They are friendly.
Not planning to chick in luggage just carryon so go straight to immigration?

I always take the Ruta del desirerto bus to downtown Cabo for $4 USA
Very good info. Airport taxi charges $50 USD. There is a shuttle there you have to request for and it takes a short wait for $17 USD. Take care
Great info. Thanks. I took the bus from City Centro to Los Cabos Airport for $4. Saving $50. Thanks again, James. Take care.
Tip- never mentioned foreign money cause they highly rise the price
Thanks. Take care.
Beware of bar outside the airport. 12 dollars for a beer!
Thanks. Airport foods and drinks are usually more expensive ⛱️😀

Do you get your checked in bags after customs?
Yes, passengers pick their checked bags after immigration to clear customs after arrival. Take care.
Prepare to get scammed right at the airport. The prices are very high for just about everything. It's better to visit Hawaii.
